*Mine has to be the fastest time I've ever read a book- 375 pages, The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan, which I read in just under 18 hours. I didn't do anything else the entire day. I took it with me to the bathroom, didn't look up when I ate. Rest of the time just lay curled in bed, lost in the world of Percy Jackson. AMAZING BOOK.

Today when I was coming home from school with my friend Lydia and her dad (our parents trade off car pools to and from school), and we were driving down East street, and for FOUR WHOLE blocks the roads on the right were marked off and there were firemen. Of course we were curious so at the first free one we turned and tried to see what was going on, and we didn't get close but we saw a crowd of people, about 4 news vans, an ambulance, and as we were leaving a swat truck drove by and in the back was a huge group of very military likes people all geared up with M16s! We left then, and on the way to drop me off at my house we saw three helicopters go over us. It was all very exciting! =P

^ Lighting Thief, about half a hour ago!! And it was awesome. 'Course I haven't read the book in over a year so I wasn't as disappointed as I could've been, but that's good anyways. The only thing I didn't like was that it was really fast- I mean, Percy spent one day at Camp Half-Blood before setting out on his quest, and that was serious WTF. The camp has some of my favorites in the book :( And I hated Annabeth to death! Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and recommend it! Plus Percy is frickin' hot, way better than Zac Efron in both looks and acting.
