Okay, so, my friend and I were watching Mulan. And you know the part where they call up Mulan's father to enroll in the army? Well, when he started walking my friend just goes, "yeah, like a boss ass pimp." I sort of died. I'm still laughing while typing this and it's quite sad. Fa Zou jus has so much swag. Off-topic, but seeing that post about Wicked reminds me that The Prince of Egypt is going to be a musical! Like on stage! They're doing a live reading of the first act in New York and if that turns out well I'm sure it'll end up on Broadway. Finally -- I mean if Shrek has a stage adaptation, why not POE?

I know this kinda off topic but am I the only one that thinks The Lion King is overrated? I don't hate but it's not my taste. I think Timon & Pumba are annoying & I don't like the songs that much except for Circle of Life & Be Prepared. I was also not a fan of the bathroom jokes. While some people think Beauty & the Beast is overrated, I prefer Batb over TLK.
Posted over a year ago
I agree that it's overrated, I think it's nice but not as amazing as everyone says. I like the songs and Timon and Pumbaa but I also prefer BatB over TLK and I find Nala kind of boring.over a year ago
I think most users on this site think it's overrated. In a way, I also think it is, but I also think it's well-made. I wasn't the biggest fan of it for a while, but lat time I watched it, I couldn't help but admire the animation, acting, soundtrack (more so the score than the actual songs, which are decent as well) and emotion. I honestly think it's brilliant and very iconic for the most part. The humor isn't the best and I'm not crazy about all of the characters. It probably wouldn't be in my top 10 Disney movies, but I understand and don't mind the hype. Each to their own. :)over a year ago
Meh. That's better for those in love with Idina Menzel. I never liked any of Wicked's songs... They sang "For Good" at every graduation I ever attended. Blech. To each his own.over a year ago
I don't like Wicked either...Esp. how it's pretty much a fanfic, and nowadays when people think of Wizard of Oz they believe and prefer the Wicked version of things over anything elseover a year ago

I was away this weekend, but I'm back now. What do y'all think about the Confederate flag debate? Do y'all think it needs to come down or stay up?
Posted over a year ago
Come down. Race aside, it's a rebel flag on a US government state house. It serves no purpose being flown there, and while people have the right to fly it on their own private property, it's not a banner that our government should have up.over a year ago
Personally, I have ancestors who fought on BOTH sides of The Civil War, and since I'm from the south, alot of people want to keep it up, while others want to take it down. Now, I'm not saying it should come down OR stay up, it's just something I thought I'd throw out there.over a year ago
I think what I like the most about Into the Woods is the music. The whole "subverting fairy tales" schtick of the original play might have been novel at the time it was out (in the 80s), but nowadays gets lost in the movie due to coming out after films like Shrek, Enchanted, Frozen, etc etc.

Have you guys ever seen Megamind? I just saw it last night and I really liked the story. I'm surprised it never really got that popular. On a side not, Megamind reminded me a lot of Loki from the Avengers. Super smart, forced into a villain role, and both are blue :P

I just finished watching Into the Woods. I liked it but I much preferred the first half to the second half and the ending is o.k. but it could have been better. The music is great and I liked the performances and the cinematography/art design/costume design. The story was interesting and had several twists although I was surprised that Johnny Depp's part was so small.

I just saw Inside Out yesterday, and that's the most I've cried all year. I cried during "Lava," when Riley started becoming more detached from her family, seeing her family memories, when BingBong died, and when she came back home. It made me realize how detached we (and I) become from our families, and our friends. Overall, I think Pixar really outshined itself with making anther movie that wasn't a remake or prequel/sequel.

Do you guys know what to do when Pages (on Mac) rewrites itself and deletes new history you added to the file? How to get the erased history back? (Because the file seemed to have guarded itself being one of its oldest versions).

Did you try to turn off your computer and "trick" the program Pages into thinking some file history was going to be deleted? Because if one of the files does not save properly, sometimes you can get an "error" message during shut-down, saying one of your programs has not finished saving and you'll lose "existing" data. I'm thinking about writing a new fanfiction about the Disney Princesses. I'm not sure if I'll do it but I might. It's about if the Disney Princesses stories were rewritten so the villains win and someone (I haven't decided who, it might be Mickey Mouse and Friends characters or something) has to go through the stories to undo what has happened. Some stories feature the heroes as villains and the villains as the heroes *continues to type in comments*
Posted over a year ago
But the "heroes" in reality know they are villains, while other stories could just have the villains on top and the heroes are just suffering. I don't think I'll do it with Brave and Frozen because we don't know for sure if Anna and Elsa will be joining and in Brave, the villain doesn't have much motivation and is just a mindless animal. Not sure if I'll do it or not but what do you guys think?over a year ago
I watched Inside Out last night and I liked it a lot, which says something considering my feelings towards Pixar :P My favorite was Sadness. According to some fans, Cruella and Roger dated in high school, and after getting her pregant he dumped her for Anita. Which is where her hatred of the Roger and Anita started. Random nitpick, but I never get why does media portray Latina women as always being sassy, rude/bitchy, loud/extroverted, (and in adult oriented things) sexually promiscuous. Audrey Ramirez, Maria from the Book of Life, Santana from Glee, and Sofia Vergara in Modern Family and many more play off this stereotype. I think Honey Lemon, Malina and Chel are the only latinas who don't fit the stereotype ->
Posted over a year ago
(sure, Malina is bossy and Chel is flirty and sexy, but Malina fits more being a hardworking bookworm and Chel being a cunning conman than the typical stereotype.over a year ago
IDK I wish we had more shy latinas. Sweet latinas. Romantic latinas. (In our own Latino media we do have some characters like that, but USA media is different)over a year ago
There is also Gabriella, who is a deaf mute and Ariel's friend in The Little Mermaid TV series. She can't be sassy because she's mute and speaks in sign language. She's a Latina and was actually based off a fan of the show that sadly died. She doesn't fit that stereotype either. There is also Sofia The First and her mother, who definitely don't fit that stereotype.over a year ago
I'm a Latina so I can say this....alot of them ARE like that and alot of it is due to our culture and how difficult it is to control our men....I would never recommend dating a Latino man, cuz apparently back in Cuba everyone believes that men can cheat all the want and the wife should just be happy that she's the wife and not the mistress...true story! It's a stereotype and they are girls and guys that ARE exceptions, but stereotypes come from some truth, my aunt is actually the quiet, gets back at u when ur not looking type, but my mother, and my other aunt and my grandmother, and my other other aunt and my cousins and myself, we very very, hot blooded, fierce and loud mouthed Latinas with attitudes and take no crap attitudesover a year ago

I just saw Inside Out today. Like most Pixar movies, I thought it was really great and funny, and definitely a really clever idea. I loved most of the characters in it, my favorite was probably Saddness. I just have a thing for gloomy/grumpy characters. Although Disgust runs a close second. I'll have to rewatch it before I decide for sure, but it's likely going to be one of my favorite Pixar movies and possibly even Disney movies.

I thought your second favorite would be Anger, since you have a thing for grumpy characters lol. Anyway, I LOVE that movie and my personal favorite is Joy because she has the most depth and development to her. Plus, despite how she tries to fool herself, she's not perfect and learns that along with many other things. My second favorite is Sadness.over a year ago
Well...James Horner, the composer, just died in a plane crash yesterday. Yes, he's the guy who wrote the music for the first Aliens, Braveheart, Titanic, Troy, Avatar, Apollo13, and more.... I really LOVED his music and his soundtracks. I'm going to miss him. :(

So I took my little nephew to go see Inside Out, and overall I liked it. The good: Nobody beats Pixar in the concepts department, and they are in top form here. The way they can take abstract things like feelings and memory and create characters and worlds and stories is incredible ... just to see things all of these abstract things given form is in itself worth the admission. The dialogue is also really clever and there are lots of really funny moments. but... *adds more in the next comment*

The bad: As with a lot of other Pixar movies, I feel like they do better with concepts than with characterization -- I couldn't really get into any of the characters (not even Riley); I liked them better as ideas than people. And there's the familiar Pixar "we are trying to teach you something; every moment of this movie is going to be deep" vibe that kind of smothers the storytelling -- I don't dislike learning, duh, but the way it's done here reminds me of Wall-E. Very slick and inorganic and not a little self-important. But I think it's worth seeing at least once and I'm glad I did.over a year ago
Yeah, the self-importance and enforced "deepness" is what I generally dislike about Pixar movies. Especially because most people buy into it. *sigh*over a year ago
Same, it's a big reason why i don't like Up or Wall-E or even Toy Story 3. When it tries to be "sad" and "deep" it just comes off as pretentious (and trying hard to cater to the Oscar folks).over a year ago
I'm not crazy about Wall-E or Up so I get what you are saying about them trying to be deep all the time but I didn't feel that with this film. I like Pixar films but I usually prefer Disney (non-Pixar) films and this one felt more like one of those so I liked it more than most of the other Pixar films. Interesting because I disagree with what you considered to be the bad in the film but I understand what you are saying.over a year ago
I know this might be a minor moment in the movie Brave but when I was watching it while on my road trip, one part actually really made me mad and no one else seems to talk about it, it might just be nitpicking. When Elinor is eating berries and Merida analyzes the berries and seems to be pretty knowledgable about them but waits until her mother has ate like 3-5 to tell her that their poisonous. Am I the only one who is annoyed by this?
Posted over a year ago
I think that was mostly for comic relief. Also a bear is probably more resistant to the poison than a human. But yeah now that you mention it that is a little weird.over a year ago
Do you mean this scene: (linkBecause Merida does immediately say "they're nightshade berries," expecting Elinor to recognize the name because, well, nightshade is pretty well-known for being poisonous. Although like MaidofOrleans said, it could just be comic relief.over a year ago
Okay, now I noticed her facial expression when she says "They're nightshade berries" she's expecting her to know that they're poisonous. Thanks for that.over a year ago

I haven't seen Inside Out yet but I will this week and I've seen that so far everyone seems to love the movie but just wait until it becomes really successful and you'll see that all of a sudden people start seeing flaws in it everywhere and complaining about it and hating it like Frozen and to a lesser extent Big Hero 6, hopefully that won't be the case this time but it usually is. People like things until they become really popular, not the case with me though. Can't wait to see the movie!

Well, if it helps, my criticism for Big Hero 6 has faded away and I'm a FULL FLEDGED fan of it once again, even though it has it's flaws. Frozen on the other hand, I actually started to have my love for it fade before the HUGE hype came along but it definitely didn't help things.over a year ago

I'm back from seeing Inside Out, and if you haven't seen it yet I really recommend that you do! I thought it was a really great, emotional movie — seriously, I cried at least five times. It's definitely one of Pixar's best, and has the same creative spirit that makes their movies so good. It wasn't exactly a typical plot, since it didn't have a villain or anything like that, but I was still kept invested the entire time.
Posted over a year ago
The characters were all great too — I loved all of the emotions, although my favorite was probably Anger, and the voice acting was really great. I did feel like they could have explored the real-world plotlines way more than they did, but it was still an A+ movie imo. I went to see it with my Disney-hating sister, who mockingly called it "The Feelings Movie" on our way to the theatre and who still maintains that she hated it, but I saw her laugh and cry all throughout the film, so I know she must not have hated it as much as she claimed.over a year ago
Oh, there was also a short before the movie, which was also really great, although the one thing I didn't like about the short was the puns.over a year ago
Haha it seems like everyone's been seeing it recently. I just saw it tonight too. I just loved the ending of the movie with the bittersweet memory. It was beautiful.over a year ago
I just got back from seeing Inside Out and I can honestly say that it's the most emotional of all the Pixar movies, especially since it's about emotions. It's really complex and dynamic yet still simple enough to follow. The animation is gorgeous and I love how it is able to capture the realistic look of the real world but also have a very cartoony and fun look for the emotions world. So, for lack of a better term, the animation has "the best of both worlds." *continues to type in comments*

The characters are all really likable. I mean, Fear, Anger, and Disgust do annoy me a little bit but they're still pretty likable and only do what they do because they care about Riley and want to protect her and make her happy. I feel like, from what I've seen of fans so far, that I'm the only one who loves Joy. I feel like she's the most layered out of all of them and she does really develop and learn to accept other emotions. Plus, she's not doing what she does out of selfishness like Merida did, she's doing it because she just wants to save Riley emotionally. Sadness is also a great character and she really helps even out Joy's optimism with her pessimism. Riley is also a likable character because you really see what she's going through. She's not just a blank slate like Andy from Toy Story or a plot device like Penny from Bolt, you really get to feel her emotional struggle, a lot like you do with Odette from The Swan Princess. Plus she has a very likable personality.over a year ago
It's just a brilliant movie and it's Pixar's best since Toy Story 3. Cars 2 is AWFUL, Brave is mediocre, and Monsters University is good but not fantastic. This felt like Pixar again and is now my third favorite Pixar movie after Finding Nemo and Toy Story 3. It's a MUCH better introduction to a female Pixar protagonist than Brave was. The only thing Brave did better was that I like Merida and Elinor's relationship more than Joy and Sadness (which was still great) and I like the more realistic and detailed animation in Brave than I do in Inside Out. Overall, it's a brilliant movie with a lot of emotion to it (no pun intended) that I HIGHLY recommend you RUSH to the movie theatre to see.over a year ago

Merida's always lasts on these list and so is Brave, but there really isn't anything I see in the movie that's so offensive where it deserves such a bad rap. I don't know, thoughts anyone? If you don't like Brave, what about it don't you like?
Posted over a year ago
It's a hot and cold movie. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. But in the beginning, I really hated it. I felt it was trying to discredit all of the Disney princesses of yore, by saying that "independent" women who are single are better because of their singleness. The treatment of the men in Brave as either comic relief or dumba**es didn't help me feel better. I thought depicting men as incompetent and just a bunch of macho with 'the burn to kill," was heavy-handed. By making the guys seem so dumb, the women seemed "intelligent" by contrast, so... this still makes me feel "eh" about the movie. But at least they made Merida and Elinor fleshed out characters. Merida used to be my least favorite for a while, before I joined Fanpop.over a year ago
I like the characters, music, animation, and I think it's a nice movies but the plot and villain are what I like less. I love the film, but I do have issues with how it depicts men. I like Merida and Elinor's relationship progression, but I feel that it could have been done better. It is still one of my top DP movies though!over a year ago
@wavesurf u know in all reality brave is just it's own story, it's not there trying to compare itself to other films or princesses, Merida doesn't represent all woman or wat woman should or shouldn't be, and the men in the movies don't represent all men, their just charactersover a year ago
The movie itself is kind of uneven for me -- the villain is kind of lame, the bears stuff can be ridculous at times, but I loved the relationship between Merida and her mother. Oddly I like Merida herself a lot more than I like the movie, which seems to be the reverse of how most people feel in this club. :) I wonder how the movie would have turned out if Brenda Chapman had stayed on as a director -- I hear she had a very different vision for how the story was going to be told.over a year ago
I personally think it's unoriginal, filled with cliches of not only Disney movies but movies in general, the dialogue is really bad, it personally offends me with it's portrayal of male characters, the crude and simplistic humor does not work here, and almost everything in the movie is halfhearted, lazy, rushed and poorly executed. Whether I'm comparing it to other Pixar Movies, whether I'm comparing it to other DP movies, or I'm just looking at the movie by itself, it's just bad. The only really positive thing is mother daughter relationship, which is pretty much a diamond in the rough.over a year ago
I used to hate it, but now I'm obsessed with it! I see how the portrayal of men is less than perfect, but they are funny and brave so it's not awful. The movie is heartwarming, emotional, and has wonderful charactersover a year ago

Has anyone else ever disliked a DP, only to suddenly change their opinions on them for the better? Because I think that's happened to me with Cinderella... for a really long time she's been in my bottom three, and I've criticized her a lot, but after thinking about it and rewatching some of her scenes I actually quite enjoy her character. She moved up from 12th on my list to 6th.
And yeah, I'm finally writing up a concrete list, so expect an article from me soon!

Today I saw two Disney Movies with my parents, first we watched Peter Pan (1953) and then we watched 101 Dalmatians (1961), both where really good movies, I've already talked about Peter Pan so let me now talk about 101 Dalmatians, really good movie actually, now I have to watch the live action movie soon to compare, anyway this version is so amazing, beautiful animation, great songs, fantastic music (even though it made me think of The Jungle Book in some scenes) *continues in the comments*

And the characters are all amazing especially Cruella De Ville, she's easily one of my favorite Disney Villains now though she can't beat the live action version (Glenn Close<3), anyway fantastic movie, kind of interesting that we watched two movies that takes place in London cause London is one of my favorite cities in the worldover a year ago
Oh, I loved 101 dalmations as a kid. I still think Glenn Close nailed the spirit of Cruella in the live action version. But since they are remaking it yet again... I hope they don't pick somebody who does not "fill" the role. Glenn Close was AMAZING!!!over a year ago
Huh, never really thought of that combination. I've never seen Hugo, but I can sorta see the connection between Anakin and Hugo in their journey to become a jedi/hero. Especially when it comes to each fighting their dark side. Where do you see it?over a year ago
Today one of the girls at my school was like "Did you know Rapunzel is the only princess who doesn't marry a guy the same day he meets him?", and I was like, "Darling, please *roll eyes".
(Well, actually I tried to explain that she was wrong, starting by naming another example - Belle, in this case - and she said "She wasn't a princess". By this point I was already wondering why did I even bother. Then I said that none of them actually marries the day she meets her prince and *more*

her response was "What about Snow White?". I tried to explain that no, Snow White does not marry the Prince right awa. She still denied it, so I asked her, "How long it's been since you saw these movies?". Well, we got interrupted so I couldn't go on - Thank Godness, I am too tired to deal with people who go around sprouting unnacurrate Disney facts in real life too.over a year ago
Wow, the article section has been very inactive lately and I seem to be the only one who keeps writing articles there because the 3 most recent articles are written by me, it feels so strange because before the article section was very active with at least one new article every day, now the most recent article was written 6 days ago, hopefully it'll soon be back to it's glory days again, in the mean time I'll write an article to make sure the article section doesn't totally die down

Saw Jurassic World yesterday. It's Brilliant! I wanna see it again! I love the Raptors! I was worried they wouldn't get as bigger part in this film compared to the other three. But nothing to worry about. And best of all the interaction between them and Owen. Love it! The new villain though is a little scary and a little bit not what I was expecting. Spoilers: I knew it was half Rex and half Raptor but I didn't expect another dinosaur DNA and I expecting a human brain or human something.

I just wanted to wish you all a happy Midsummer's Eve even though most of you don't celebrate it, the weather here is not the best, it's been raining non stop since this morning, now it doesn't rain as much
One tradition that we have is that we always eat strawberries this day either as they are or with whipped cream or on a cake (all are very delicious)
Anyway so today many have vacation (me included) and so far I've been having a wonderful day despite the weather being as it is

I hate to start a fight but why it is okay for a woman to save a man but not okay for a man to save a woman? I think that is hypocritical & sexist. This post was inspired by Mongoose09's defense of the classic princesses article.
Posted over a year ago
The problem isn't that men can't save women, but that it's assumed in a lot of older movies that these ladies have no other choice than to be saved. For a good amount of western history, the perfect woman was a small, demure, virgin girl who would never hurt a fly. Now there's nothing wrong with that per say, but if you follow that description of a woman to a tee, there isn't much room left for defending yourself. And as a result, it's assumed that you don't have the capability to defend yourself, making women less agent beings, and more objects to be acted upon. So to answer your question, having a man save a woman isn't wrong, but we can't ignore the history of women subjugation either.over a year ago
I was going through some old forums and I came across this one and apparently some people (who are still here) were a little bit worried about putting me as the villain in the Fanpop's Kingdom forum (the third one lol). I ended up commenting on them just now saying that I'm not offended because villains are SO MUCH fun! I'd love to be a villain!
For those of you who don't know, I'm a major Tarzan fangirl (everybody probably already knows this, but...), and I whilst I love Tarzan TO DEATH as a movie, I really hate how they make the animals talk, even if they're not speaking English. Which, you know, is a common theme in disney movies and probably why I don't like a lot of them. Does that bother anyone else or am I just weird in that regard? Giving animals character I don't mind so much, but personification gets on my nerves.

I understand where you're coming from. While it's true animals do communicate, none have created a language with grammar and syntax, even those that are capable of communicating in sign language.over a year ago
I've seen Tarzan so many times that it doesn't bother me anymore, but I can definitely see why you don't like it when they speak. One of the reasons why I love Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron so much is the fact that the animals don't speak, yet you can perfectly understand what they want to say and how they feel.over a year ago
Hey everyone. In case you don't know, most of you do, I happen to be a Muslim. For us Muslims, tomorrow, a very significant month of the year begins which most of you are probably familiar with, Ramadan. In this month, we fast from sunrise to sunset from food and water, and are encouraged to mostly focus on religion and such. I'll be stopping by a couple of times a week, but for the most part, I will take a break from fanpop for a month. I'll miss you all a lot. Happy Ramadan!

Here's a weird complaint I just heard on YouTube. Apparently there are people that think Disney actaully has Donald Duck cussing and saying other crude things. And the the only reason you can't understand him very well, is so they can slip curses into the show! Like whenever he says Duck they were sure he's saying, 'dick', or 'f***'. And then when he's bragging about Scrooge being rich they think he's said "my uncle's a b*tch". Seriously? What will people come up with next to complain about?!!!

Thank you for posting this. I agreed with every word of it. I think the decision Ariel made was stupid and reckless, but the movie was not Anti-Feminist. Feminism is supposed to be that men and women have equal rights, and that neither gender should be serving the other. Ariel was no anti-feminist at all. She was very independent. So she really is obsessed with a guy. So what? What she did to get him was pretty stupid but in the end of the day, Eric wasn't her only motive either way.over a year ago
You're welcome! I think when Ariel made mistakes, it made her more relatable. She was the 1st Disney Princess to have flaws which is what made her refreshing. Even though I like the classic princesses, they didn't have much flaws.over a year ago
I really hate to complain because I don't want to seem ungrateful because I really appreciate my hardworking parents, but I'm getting really tied of always going to the beach for vacation. I mean, it's pretty much the same old thing. I want to get into the water (which I do) but I don't stay long because I'm usually alone and sometimes I just don't wanna play babysitter (though the kids are usually my best bet at having any kind of interaction with anyone in the water), when the adults in my group get in the pool they just stand around talking like complete bores, get out a few minutes later to get a tan, I get mored and just go back to the room, we go out to eat, and that's all there is. It's not that I don't enjoy the beach but considering my only interactions are with my 7 year old niece, there is only so much I can do, especially since she usually finds kids her age to play with. I wish our vacations could have more variety and that we would do more than just go to the beach. I mean, with Disney World I could go to every year because it has four theme parks with TONS of different things to do and could still go to the beach.over a year ago

I saw Mad Max: Fury Road finally. I don't normally like action movies but I loved it, especially the female characters. I'm just posting this here because they remind me of some Disney characters:
Furiosa- Calhoun, the tough, dedicated female leader with a tragic side.
Splendid- Cinderella, the sandy-haired, warm, brave optimistic leader of the girls (since Cinderella is the official leader).
Capable- Anna, the brave 'heart' of the group and forgiving.

Toast- Gogo, the silent, snarky, short tough girl. Dag- a bit of Lilo, the quirky, observant one with some of Pocahontas' interest in nature and silent strength. Cheedo- Aurora and Elsa both, the tall, long haired, delicate, sheltered girl who relies on the others for support. Excellent cast, I recommend it! Yeah. the days of Disney actually telling story through a cartoon and CARING about the result are gone. Sure, the movie is bombastic, it's rushed, and it stops making sense 10 minutes in, but if you advertise the hell out of it everywhere--- you will convince everybody how wonderful it is! And let's declare anything "older Disney" behind the times, and irrelevant. Yep. Not to point fingers at anyone, this is just something I've noticed throughout the internet, especially with youtube comments I've seen in arguments I tend not to get into. But are people so stupid that they can't figure out that what a person says in just their opinion and they're not claiming it as a fact? Do they honestly need people to put "in my opinion" at the end of a sentence in order to know it's just their opinion? I should think people are smarter than this, especially on Fanpop.

This has been known to happen sometimes on Fanpop and I have been in those kinds of fights on Fanpop, but for the most part, this website is pretty good with this and a lot of other websites are like this.over a year ago
It all depends on what they said. Sometimes people who are just honestly are expressing their opinion just get hated on intensely, then the people who present their opinion as fact basically start flame wars. Even still it still depends on what the opinion is, rather it's morally, physically or objectively disagreeing I think that only sometimes is it okay and not okay to present your opinion as a fact. And you can always assume if it comes out of someone's mouth that it's most likely opinion, especially if it's on a subject that people have different opinions for it. BUT I absolutely hate when I say something about my opinion and people feel threatened by it as if I mean it as an absolute fact, it's even happened with DP lists.over a year ago
Do you guys think people put really popular princesses low on their list out of spite? Swanpride said that may be why Pocahontas made into Fanpop's top three because people want to give a "take that" to the popular princesses. I know people just like what they like and they shouldn't have to explain themselves but I can't help feeling thrown off if I see someone with, for example, Ariel, Belle and Mulan as their bottom three.

A few months ago I mentioned that Disney was making a live-action Cruella De Vil movie and... yeah I did roll my eyes at that, especially after Maleficent. However, I did find out one thing about the movie that makes me just A LITTLE BIT more openminded about the movie. The executive producer of the movie is Glenn Close, who played Cruella in the live-action remakes, so she gives me some hope that they'll portray her faithfully enough, since Glenn did capture her character perfectly.

Oh, I LOVED Glenn Close as Cruella. She literally was that evil, deranged lady. And I almost died, laughing. But it's cool...I guess, to know that they're doing another live version. I hope they pick an actress who can nail the role, though. Glenn Close left huge shoes to fill.... ;).over a year ago
