I just saw the movie for the first time. I'm speechless. This was amazing. Jennifer Lawrence is brilliant. I loved it. And Cato's little speech before he died killed me... No matter how many people hate him, I love him, and was so sad when he died. And the dog/wolf, that came from the darkness out of nowhere? This made me jump in my place and scream "Fuck!" Omg, wen i went to see the hunger games, these people behind us thought they wer all cool and shouted evrytime someone got killed! And they evn laughed durin rue's death! If I had a nickel for every time I get a strange look when I'm asked to explain The Hunger Games..... I would be so rich by now. But I guess saying, "Well, it's set in a dystopian society where a Capitol rules 12 districts. Each year to assert their authority, the Capitol sends in a boy and girl tribute from each district. It appears that, unfortunately, Gary Ross left "Catching Fire" and Lionsgate will have to find a new director soon 'cause the shooting of the movie starts this fall.
I'm kind of worried about CF now. Gary's a fan of these books and even if he might not be the best director out there he still knew how to capture all the emotions I felt while reading the book.
I hope that the new director they'll choose knows how to do it as well and maybe will even make this movie better than the previous one. Posted over a year ago
