LOS ANGELES/SANTA MONICA: Splash Entertainment and Lionsgate have teamed up to produce three new 45-minute films in the

The first film produced under the co-pro agreement is scheduled for release next year. Lionsgate will distribute the three movies in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., while Splash Entertainment will handle distribution in other territories. The trio of films will focus on the misadventures of “Alpha” Kate and “Omega” Humphrey and their three wolf pups as they confront life lessons in the great outdoors.

The first film in the franchise was released in 2010. The executive producers of the new production will be Ken Katsumoto, the executive VP of Lionsgate Family Entertainment, and Liz Young, the president of Splash Entertainment.

Nicolas Atlan and Mike Young, co-CEOs of Splash Entertainment, commented: “We are very proud to be working with Lionsgate again. Our first project together, the January 2016 animated feature film
