I read this earlier and goodness! I have rarely gotten mad at the X Men writers for whatever they do but AvX and the aftermath really pisses me off. Emma and Scott were doing so well and made a weird amount of sense and now they broke up? Over them both being possessed? And if I remember correctly wasn't Dark Phoenix involved (though it doesn't make sense considering Phoenix history) which would mean that pretty much none of that was actually their fault? I could just punch a monkey!

I agree that I WAS actually starting to like them as a couple (Jott gods, please don't strike me down for saying so), but I feel that with this break-up they could at least try to bring Marvel back to where it should be. AvX was a huge letdown. Everything that ended up happening was predictable and I hated it. If that's where this bull keeps going, I guess I'll say goodbye to new Marvel. That Dark Phoenix insert was the biggest copout I've ever seen, because then they COULD just say that it wasn't their faults and not actually blame the characters for once. ARGH!...I have a feeling I will continue this rant later in the forum for it.

And I hate how the Avengers were always right and the X Men were the bad guys. Not even like Civil War where you could make the argument for either side. Nope in AvX you're suppose to think the X Men are wrong even though they actually weren't.

What can Iron Fist and Scarlet Witch teach Hope about containing the Phoenix? Wanda can't control her own crazy so who is she to try and teach someone else? And what do they know about the Phoenix anyways?

Also don't you think being raised by a man who is related to three Phoenix hosts, was trained by a group that centered everything around Phoenix, and happened to be a powerful mutant himself would be some of the best possible preparation for a future Phoenix host? Nate knew that would happen so I'm, sure he made sure Hope would be up for the job.

Man if only Nate had succeeded in killing the Avengers the Phoenix wouldn't have split into pieces and possessed the Phoenix Five. So then Professor X would've lived, Emma and Scott would be happy together, Scott wouldn't have to deal with the killing of his mentor and so much other nonsense wouldn't have happened

I can't even think of anything else to add. Everything you just said pretty much summed it all up.
