We all have those animated movies that we can't help but LOVE SO much. Whether it's for the music, animation, comedy, or even personal reasons in general, you can't help but push the replay button 50,000 times and never get tired of it.
And that's what this list is about! Every day (Or two) I'll be posting another part to this list, so keep that in mind while you read this!
Sit down, relax, and get out your soda! Because WE ARE COUNTING DOWN..........
My Top 10 FAVORITE Animated Films!
#10. The Road To El Dorado (Dreamworks, 2000)
This is a perfect example of a movie that just doesn't get as much praise as it should. I remember watching this movie SO MANY TIMES when I was young, and I still do!
The movie was like crack cocaine to me, I couldn't stop watching it! I NEED MORE EL DORADO!
The story starts off in the early 1500's with two guys named Miguel and Tulio playing a game on a ship with rigged dice to cheat everyone out of their money.
Annoying Nice Guy: B-B-B-B-BUT JARED! ISN'T THAT MEAN, ISN'T THAT WRONG!? HAVE YOU NO SOUL!? DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO THIS FRAGILE WORLD!? UNSUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!
Me: PUT A SOCK IN IT! >.<
So they end up winning a map to a sacred place named El Dorado, a magical city with gold OUT OF THE FUCKING WAZOO! :D
I WANT TO GO THERE MOMMY! :D :D :D
But they end up getting caught and are put on a different ship where they're sent to Mexico, but they hide and eventually come across a mysterious island.
YOU HERE ME MADAGASCAR!? EL DORADO DID IT FIRST! (For the record, I did like Madagascar.)
And that's all I'm going to say about the story for spoiler purposes. But in short, this movie is AWESOME.
The animation is amazing, most of the characters are very likable and have cool/unique designs, the story is a bit cliche but executed very well, and the music was made by the same people who later did every song for THE LION KING!
TRUST ME when I say you'll be humming "The Trail We Blaze" and "It's Tough To Be A God" for the rest of your life.
I also really liked "Friends Never Say Goodbye". These three songs are all really catchy and have good lyrics.
And that's all I can say about this movie. It's a very underrated classic that I recommend checking out sometime. The animation was great, the songs were catchy, the comedy is funny, and it's just a very pleasant movie to watch.
Definitely one of my favorite animated action-adventure comedies of all time.
(Hey there! I hope you liked part one, remember to stay tuned for the other parts! And don't forget to click the fan button and leave a comment! Until next time! And I love exclamation marks! :D)
