You know, I'm pretty sure we all have those shows out there that we know exist and even sometimes know are really good, but just refuse to watch. And that's what this list is about.
The anime on this list are all anime that I was originally going to check out and even finish, but I either gave up on it or just stopped.
And yes, a few of these shows I did actually watch to a certain point, and I know that's kind of cheating for this list, but it's my list, so SHUT UP! =D
#5. One Piece
Let me start off this entry by saying that I LOVE comedy anime. And honestly, what can I even say about it? It's the most entertaining genre of media and if done well can be really good!
And this anime DOES look funny! But here's the problem with this show.....
IT'S OVER 400 EPISODES. WHY!?
I know that this is a problem with a lot of other shows, but among them all this is the one that disappoints me the most.
Finally, a long funny series with everything I love in anime, but it NEVER ENDS.
It's a personal rule of mine to NEVER watch a show that's over 300 episodes and the fact that this show would take up my entire Summer just bugs me.
I didn't even watch a single episode, or even a single second of it, because I'm the kind of person who just HAS to finish a show when they start it. And I'm sure some of us reading this are too.
It's WAY too long, and for that reason I'll probably never watch it.
#4. Sailor Moon
You wouldn't BELIEVE how many girls at my schools like this show. Every single day they suggest to me: "Watch Sailor Moon! :D You like anime, check out Sailor Moon! =D If you like comedy you'll LOVE Sailor Moon! ^___^"
And no offense to those people, but Sailor Moon kinda sort maybe a little bit-
ABSOLUTELY SUCKS.
I watched the first episode and gave up immediately. I just didn't understand why everybody liked it.
Serena was SO ANNOYING, the jokes were more stale than a 4-year old cracker, the animation wasn't impressive, and after seeing that 34 second transformation scene and heard it was going to be in EVERY episode, I threw my remote out of the window so fast it broke the sound barrier.
It's annoying, cliche, stupid, and overall unpleasant.
#3. Deadman Wonderland
This anime is SO OVERRATED. I came across it one day when I was scrolling through new anime on Google and found one called Deadman Wonderland.
DOESN'T THE TITLE SOUND SO PLEASANT? ^___^
And yes, I was actually interested.
For about 2 seconds.
And that's the biggest problem with this anime, it's so unreasonably CRUEL!
Characters are dying every 2 seconds and I don't even know how to feel. Plus, I feel like the show put in gore just because it was "COOL"
Also the characters were just so generic and bland, and the ones that weren't were absolute psychopaths.
Moving on.
#2. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
I don't know if I've ever said this before, but if I had to pick one genre of anime I just flat-out didn't care about, it was the magical girl anime.
Yes, I suppose I could've picked Madoka Magica for this spot, but the biggest reason I put this show on the list is because one of my friends actually LOVES this show.
He said he liked a ton of things about this anime and even suggested it to me, but I refused.
And that's literally all I can say about this show. I just don't care for the magical girl genre at all.
Sorry Joshua.
#1. Elfen Lied
Alright, I'm just going to say this right now, I CAN HANDLE GORE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TERROR.
Heck, I'm the one who finished Future Diary and Higurashi: When They Cry, some of the scariest and darkest anime of all time.
But halfway through the show I gave up. I literally couldn't take it anymore.
The gore in this show is SO BRUTAL and lasts for such a long time, and it makes me want to retch!
Seriously, I know this anime is said to be a masterpiece, but I just can't take it.
And this is coming from the guy who watches a SHIT-LOAD of R-Rated horror movies and finished Mirai Nikki AND Higurashi, so I KNOW I can handle horror.
But this anime was just too much. It's WAY darker and bloodier than I thought a show would EVER be and I don't think I'll ever finish this anime because of it.
Call me a pansy or a two-year old, I really don't care. I'll watch what I want to watch, enough said.
Please click the fan button above and leave a comment on anime you personally never want to watch/finish!
