So, there is word going around of the creation of a new theme park called Nintendo Land… needless to say, I feel like a joyful 8-year-old again. You all know that I love Nintendo games. They are all so much fun and amazing games. And after hearing that Universal Studios is creating a Nintendo theme park, I couldn’t be happier. Now, they haven’t given out information of what it will be like and what rides it will have yet, but I’d like to give off some of my ideas for attractions that it could have. So, lets start the list.
#15: Mii Mascots - Mii’s are basically like those characters you create for you game to help show people your main avatar. So, it would be pretty cool if those kinds of characters were walking around the theme park, greeting people. Sure, it would be better if Mario and the others were the ones doing this, but, seriously, just imagine the employees working in costumes that looked just like them. That would honestly be pretty cool
#14: Nintendogs Petting Zoo - Nintendogs may not be the most popular game in Nintendo’s library, but that doesn’t mean it should be left out of the park. So, why not have a large field of puppies to play with. This would be an awesome attraction for kids, and I would really like to see this. It would really help bring the younger audience to the park, and would be pretty damn cool if you ask me.
#13: Star Fox Arwing Ride - You know those rides that swing back and forth. Well, imagine a Star Fox ride like that. You sit inside of an Arwing, and swing back and forth. But lets go even further. How about you also swing left and right, and even do a bunch of barrel rolls, while you fly through space and see many other ships fly right past you and shoot at each other. That would be pretty awesome. Weather it’s a majorly huge ride or just a small ride for the kids, it could have some potential
#12: Metroid Rail Shooter - There are some rides where you sit in a moving cart and shoot things with a light gun. Well, imagine a Metroid ride that does that. It would be awesome to sit in a spaceship, take an arm cannon, and shoot at Metroids, Space Pirates, and probably even Mother Brain or Ridley. Hell, lets go even further, and have you just walk in a simple level from the games and shoot enemies, and try to rack up as many points as you can. That would be awesome. That is what I call a true in-gaming experience
#11: Kirby Food Court - The Kirby games have a lot of really weird food. So, why not let you eat the food from the game. Now, lets face it, there are lots of weird food out there. Hell, you can actually buy Bertie Botts Every Flavored Beans for $2 a piece. So, I don’t see why we can’t eat food like Maxim Tomatoes, Mega Candy, and Superspicy Curry. That would be awesome, and I would love to see that
#10: Duck Hunt Shooting Gallery - Now, this one is pretty self-explanatory. You just take a rifle (Or probably a Nintendo Zapper or Super Scope) And shoot ducks that are on from Duck Hunt, and try to rack up enough points until you win. And the prizes? Probably a bunch of Nintendo merchandise
#9: Nintendo Arcade - Yeah, this one is pretty simple. Just take a bunch of Nintendo arcade games, like Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, and Excitebike, and just play them in a simple arcade, rack up the highscore, and try to enjoy the sort of feeling you got when you walked into an arcade as a kid. I’d say it would really give off a good nostalgic feeling, and that would be awesome
#8: Pokemon Museum - Yeah, with all the things they could do with Pokemon, I probably chose the most boring. But, hey, there are a lot of people out there who are fans of Nintendo, but haven’t played a Pokemon game yet. So, I’d say, why don’t we just teach the people about Pokemon. It could tell people all of the different Pokemon and their types, the regions of the Pokemon games, what kind of items you use, and all that jazz. It may be boring, but, hey, I’d still go to it
#7: Super Smash Bros Live Show - Now, what’s more fun than playing a game where you beat the shit out of Nintendo characters. How about watching a live show of Nintendo characters beating the shit out of each other. Think of it as that one commercial for Smash Bros for the N64, but lasting more than thirty seconds. This would be a lot like a wrestling match… but with Mario. I would totally watch that. It sounds awesome as hell
#6: Donkey Kong Minecart Roller Coaster - Of course we were gonna get to a roller coaster eventually, and why not choose one that feels almost like a roller coaster in the game. In this game, you can actually travel through Donkey Kong Country, looking at Kremlings, exploring the many different areas, and even see Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and all the others. I would probably ride that multiple times, to be honest
#5: Animal Crossing Tom Nook Gift Shop - While you could relax on Tortimer Island or meet the residents of Animal Village, I thought that having the gift shop be Tom Nook’s store would be better. Here, you could actually meet Tom Nook, and probably all the other members of the village, as well as buy hundreds and hundreds of Nintendo merchandise. Is it just an attempt to buy Nintendo’s products? Maybe, but at least they do it in an awesome way
#4: F-Zero Raceway Roller Coaster - Okay, you thought that the minecart idea was cool? Well, this one is so much better. This could be one of those REALLY fast roller coasters that speed up as you keep going, having the track look like a raceway, and they should also blast Mute City theme in the back of the car while you are riding it. That would really give off an awesome F-Zero experience.
#3: Mario Kart Go Karts - Now, Mario Kart was already based off go karts… so lets have a go kart track based on Mario Kart. Hell, why stop there? Why not have the customer choose his own track out of many others. I’m thinking of tracks like Mario’s Circuit, Koopa Cape, DK Mountain, Bowser’s Castle, Rainbow Road and more. Also, why not have a bunch of items like shells and bananas and just throw them at the cars… okay, that might be stupid, but, still, it could happen.
#2: Tomodachi Life Hotel - For a game that was recently made, this would be a good idea to promote it to people who haven’t bought it yet. I mean, Disneyland has hotels, so why not Nintendo Land? This could allow you to do all sorts of fun activities, like sing, and even visit the beach. Also, you could have all sorts of weird rooms, like Gothic, Space Station, European, Bath House, and even Gold. Seriously, I would stay in this hotel… and I don’t say that often
#1: Legend of Zelda Hyrule Castle Town Attraction - I know some of you are gonna get mad that I put ANOTHER Zelda thing at number one. Hey, if you can obsess over something, I can too. Now, I would LOVE to see this. Think of it as Harry Potter Land, but with Zelda. I mean, you could walk all across Hyrule Castle Town, meeting all of the amazing characters. And not only that, but you can play all kinds of games, like Rupee Shooting, Pot Throwing, Bomb-Chu Bowling, and Maze Run. Also, there are all sorts of shops. You can buy weird potions that you can actually drink, fairies in a bottle, shields, and probably a sword (Because why not). Oh, and you NEED the Happy Mask Shop. You can buy masks like Deku Mask, Goron Mask, Zora Mask, Fierce Deity's Mask, and, yes, even Majora’s Mask. I can just imagine wearing a mask like that. I would love that. Seriously, Nintendo, PLEASE MAKE THIS
So, there you have it. Did you enjoy the list. Tell me what you thought of it below. With that, I will see you all next time
