Now, I have done a few rants. And as fun as they were, I have gotten some people saying that I seem to hate everything. So, I decided to make a list about the things I love, or, Mini Praise, if you will. So, I hope this will help you people see that I don’t hate everything ever made. So, here I go
Writing - Now, I never knew I had a passion or a talent for writing until I was inspired to by my English teacher back in seventh grade. Since then, I have been working on my writing skills. I am also working into making this passion a career, so that I could hopefully make something with it. I always enjoyed writing stories, but one of my favorites to write about was anything involving horror. I seem to be real drawn to horror. And, trust me, you will see that soon enough.
Animation - Now, this goes for all kinds of animation, from the more classic and original Western Animation, to the more stunning Anime style, to the newly introduced Computer Generated Animation. Animation has always fascinated me… well, most of the time. Sure, all forms have animation have been disappointing the last few years, but I’m talking about the past, not the present. Animation back then was REAL good. And if it didn’t have good animation, the characters and humor made up for it. I even enjoy online animation, which is always something I regret at times, but, sometimes, it can be humorous, or even beautiful. So, Animation is something I really hope can get back on track sometime in the future.
Horror Movies - Now, Horror Movies today may just be a bunch of jump scares and stuff, but, horror movies back THEN! Pure. Genius. That is the best way to describe it. Seriously, there were dozens of amazing horror movies back then. You had the brilliant psychological horror of The Shining, the well acted and directed Silence of the Lambs, the controversial but still scary Exorcist, and the assortment of slasher movies, like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Child’s Pl- Okay, maybe not that one, but still, Horror Movies are amazing
Hamburgers - Now, I’m not gonna be all serious like the entries before. There isn’t much to say. I just really like Hamburgers. I like the taste. Moving on now
Dr. Pepper - Yeah, same as the hamburger, only liquified, and more sugar. NEXT!
Nintendo - Now, I have been playing games since I was seven. But, no matter how old I get, I never forget that I loved Nintendo since day one. I have always played their games and enjoyed them. You have the super popular platformer Super Mario, to the beautiful adventure game Legend of Zelda. To the adorable strategy of Pikmin, to the amazing RPG, Pokemon. There are just so many amazing games from Nintendo. And of course, they have brought me some very fond memories. If it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t be called Windwakerguy430… I’d probably be something bland, like… TheInteligentCoDFanboy…… Actually, lets try NOT to have that name… EVER!
Fanpop - Now, I have always had a problem with social websites. Facebook is where I only know 10% of people who friend me, Twitter is where people have to post whenever they successfully pick their nose, Youtube is where you can get famous as long as your videos contain cats, fails, or Pewdiepie, Tumblr, WHICH I WILL NEVER GO TO! And 4Chan, which is run by people who have similar amount of brain cells to that of monkeys. But, Fanpop was always a different place for me. I actually met some amazing people on Fanpop, and I have dozens of fond memories on it. Sure, it may glitch a few times in some of the most annoying ways, and the ads may be real annoying, but, if Fanpop can give me some amazing memories and friends, then that is good enough for me.
Reviews - Now, it is no doubt that What’s Your Take is my most popular article series on Fanpop, and I actually have a lot of fun reviewing stuff. It really makes me happy to hear people say that they enjoy my reviews. That is basically motivation to keep me reviewing. It is basically my fuel. It’s what keeps me going. So does the enjoyment of reviewing things. Sure, I may review the worst of the worst, but it’s worth it to see people enjoy my reviews.
Classical Rock - Now, I always enjoyed this genre of music the most. It has always sounded the most catchy to me. It has so much amazing music. There are hundreds of great bands that make this music enjoyable, like Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and, OH YES, Queen. This music has always been my favorite kind, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to change any time soon.
My Mentor - Okay, guys, now, this is gonna be a pretty sad one. So, just, be careful, okay. I was always a quiet kind of kid. I never really did talk much back in Elementary School. But, then my mentor, who was a sweet woman, helped me get over my shyness, so I could start talking to people. She was so kind whenever she talked to me. It was real enjoyable. So, after about a few years, I was in Middle School by this point, and I had plenty of friends, until, I got a call saying that she died from Leukemia. I was so heartbroken when she told me this, and it affected me greatly. I wasn’t leaving my room, I was failing my classes, and I hadn’t spoken to my friends in a while. But, I then remembered that she told me that how I shouldn’t always worry. She knew she was sick, and she didn’t want me to cry and be depressed. So, I did what she taught me. I got my grades back up, and I was taking with my friends again. So, guys, just always be there for your friends. And always be sure to care for your family and friends. They won’t be there forever.
So, there you go. I’m sorry to have ended this whole thing on such a sad note, but, I just wanted to show you guys that there are things in life I can enjoy. I just need to look harder. But, hey, that’s only my opinion. What’s Your Take.
