Hello everyone, and welcome to the first article of Boss Bits. So the first game I will be talking about is none other then the XBox Original Legend Fable. This game is a masterpiece. It had great characters, great gameplay, an awesome story and had some real good humor too. This game series is pretty much where you play as one of the last remaining Hero's of the country of Albion and you have a choice to be good or evil. This game is fun, but then... There are the bosses. Which we will be talking about... right now
(Warning, this article contains spoilers)
Boss: Wasp Queen
The Wasp Queen is the first boss in the game, and guess what... She's easy as hell. Well, she is the first boss in the game, but come on, she's easier then average first bosses. It only takes you about two minutes to beat her
Score: 3/10
Boss: Twinblade
This guy is supposed to be the leader of the Bandit Camp and the King of the Bandits. And he doesn't have that name for nothing. Not only are 75% of his attacks hard to dodge, but your surrounded by bandits, so if you get to far from Twinblade, your going to get hit by a bandit. Also, once you beat him, you have a choice to kill him or spare him, which is pretty neat
Score: 7/10
Boss: Whisper
This is another boss. Whisper is your friend who you have to fight in The Arena. She refuses to kill you, and she wants you to agree. However, you have a choice here after you knock her health down to 25%. You could either kill her or spare her, again, real interesting
Score: 7/10
Boss: Kraken
This is a boss you fight while saving your mother from Bargate Prison. Not only does this thing hide most of the fight, but it has one attack that is COMPLETELY impossible to dodge, so you better expect to take a few hits from it
Score: 4/10
Boss: Maze
Maze is a character who saved you from bandits as a child and kept you safe in the Guild... So it's a huge surprise when he betrays you. This whole fight takes place throughout the entire village of Hook Coast, instead of just one spot. It make this real interesting as, since he is a wizard, it makes the fight real challenging, but also real fun
Score: 9/10
Boss: Jack of Blade
This guy is the main villain of the game. His boss fight is, half of the time cheap, and the other time just trying to dodge fire balls. Could have been better... Oh wait, it does, but that's later
Score: 2/10
Boss: Thunder
This is an optional boss. You really don't have to fight him, but you can if you want to be evil. Your supposed to collect the soul o an Arena Champion, and you can either get one from the Arena or just kill Thunder and take his. If you do fight him, he'll fight you with both sword and lightning bolts, which is CRAZY!!!
Score: 7/10
Boss: Briar Rose
Another optional boss. You need to find the soul of the Heroine, and you can either go to your mothers grave in Oakvale or kill Briar Rose, who will clone herself, teleport around the area, and even steal your health and use it to heal herself
Score: 6/10
Boss: Guild Master
Another Optional boss: You need the soul of the Oldest Hero, and you can either fight Nostro the Gate Keeper or Kill the Guild Master. When you do, he uses All kinds of damn spells, like making swords stronger, healing himself, forming a protective shield around him. The list goes on. Once you get him dow to 1% health, he'll start saying how he is disappointed that you turned on the Guild, but he says that he'll teleport you to the graveyard so you can fight Nostro. you can either accept this request or kill him here
Score: 10/10
Boss: Nostro
Nostro is an undead hero that says he'll give you his soul if you kill him in a battle. The thing is, you can only hurt him when you've killed his undead guards. It's pretty interesting at first, but after a while, you just want to kill him already
Score: 7/10
Boss: Jack of Blades the Dragon
HOLY HELL!!! Okay, so, a bit of briefing. Jack of Blades came back to life in a stronger form and you have to travel to the Northern Wastes to kill him... Again. Here, you meet a giant, red, fire breathing dragon. This is the hardest fight in the damn game. It has lots of stuff happening at once. Though, if your not prepared with some Health Potions and Resurrection Phials, you might as well renamed yourself Screwed cause that's what you are
Score: 8/10
And so, that's all the bosses. There was a lot of awesome bosses and a lot of challenging bosses.
So, The Boss of this article goes to.... The Guild Master for creativity and an amazing level of challenge.
Overall Boss Score: 8/10
Well, that should do it for this list. Hope to see you all next time on Boss Bits
