‘The Walking Dead\': Where’s Your Favorite Deceased Character Now?

If you’re a fan of “The Walking Dead,” then you have suffered your share of loss at some point with this show.

Fan-favorite members of the Rick Grimes Squad drop dead all the time — not just in major season finales, but in midseason moments as well. And you understand why: “The Walking Dead” exists in a dangerous world where anyone can meet their maker at any moment, no matter how important they are to the story, no matter how much you love them.

But there’s good news, too: “The Walking Dead” is not real, and the people you love are not only still alive, but still working! If your favorite character on the show isn’t around anymore, here’s where you can see them recently and right now.

Jon Bernthal works tirelessly, appearing in movies like “Fury” and “Sicario.” He was the lead actor on “Mob City,” the Frank Darabont show featuring tons of players from the “Walking Dead” universe, and he’s next set to play Frank Castle — aka The Punisher — in Marvel’s “Daredevil” on Netflix.

For more Jeffrey DeMunn, see the aforementioned “Mob City,” where he starred as a head honcho on the Los Angeles Police Department. He’s also held a few sporadic guest spots elsewhere, like on “The Affair” and “The Blacklist.” See also: Every Frank Darabont movie, ever. (Okay, not ALL of them, but a bunch.)

Any chance we’ll see Laurie Holden reprise her role as Marita Covarrubias on the “X-Files” revival? Too early to say, but never too early to hope. Recently, she held a weird antagonist role in “Dumb and Dumber To,” plus a couple of guest starring appearances on “Major Crimes” and “Chicago Fire.”

Looking for more Sarah Wayne Callies? Fingers crossed that she’s headed to the “Prison Break” reunion once it starts taking shape. If not, then she’ll at least appear on “Colony,” USA’s new science fiction drama from “Lost” mastermind Carlton Cuse, and starring “Lost” bad boy Josh Holloway.

Scott Wilson has taken it easy since his character got his head lopped off by The Governor, but he put in screen time on three episodes of the Amazon detective series “Bosch.”

Speaking of “Bosch,” that’s the same place you can find Madison Lintz. Forget the barn, Carol’s daughter is hiding on Amazon!

Hershel’s daughter still makes music happen; keep an eye on Emily Kinney’s website for more on that. As far as her work on screen goes, she terrorized Central City on an episode of “The Flash” last season, and has some minor roles on the racy “Masters of Sex” and “The Knick.”

Tyler James Williams is on the main cast of “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,” so he’s one of the “Walking Dead” expats you can count on seeing almost every single week.

Looking for more Michael Rooker? Look to the stars. You’ll find him in “Guardians of the Galaxy” as the blue-skinned space pirate Yondu, and hopefully we’ll see him again in “Guardians 2.” If not? There’s always “Mallrats 2.”

Andrew J. West has been doing a bit of the blink-and-you’ll-miss-him thing on a few different shows, from “Justified” to “Minority Report,” so basically DVR any show and there’s a good chance you’ll run into the Terminus cannibal.

Lawrence Gilliard Junior appeared on an episode of “Graceland” season three, but other than that, not a ton happening right now — which is the perfect excuse to go back and binge watch his work on “The Wire.” Seriously, go do that, right now — especially if you want more Chad “Tyreese” Coleman, too.

Speaking of Coleman, if you want to know what’s happening and what’s going on with the erstwhile hammer-holding hero, keep an eye out for “The Expanse,” a new futuristic series hitting Syfy in December.

In an alternate universe, David Morrissey has his very own AMC television series in the form of “Line of Sight,” but the network passed on the plane crash drama. He had a role on the recently canceled “Extant,” but other than that, just keep your one good eye on “Walking Dead.” He’s bound to pop up as a ghost again at some point or another.
