Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

The Walking Dead Season 5 premiere month. The drama won’t hit our small screens until the season formally kicks off on October 12, but since that’s now less than two weeks away we’re getting some great intel about the season opener.
Some outlets were lucky enough to screen Season 5, Episode 1, and it sounds like it’s just as intense as Robert Kirkman, showrunner Scott Gimple, and others previously promised. As TVLine’s Michael Ausiello notes, “I had to watch the first six minutes of the Season 5 premiere with a Trapper Keeper in front of my face — it was that gruesome.” Michael goes on to say that the first several minutes of “No Sanctuary” were so horrific that he’s “shocked AMC’s Standards and Practices signed off on it.”
But do a few horrendous minutes translate into a great hour of television? Sure sounds like it to us!
In a tweet from earlier this week, Michael declared the Season 5 opener his favorite episode since the pilot. Not bad praise for a guy who writes about TV for a living, don’tcha think?
As for some specific standouts in Season 5, Episode 1, E! Online reveals, “Carol is so awesome in this episode.”
If we had to guess, we’d say Daryl Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) boo somehow saves the day and helps orchestrate the group’s escape from the train car. Thoughts on these first impressions of the Season 5 premiere? Tell us below!
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on October 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
