Hey, I know you handful of people out there that absolutely HATE Skilene- Well actually, I'm just gonna leave this at "Different people have different opinions. So suffer, different people." Sadisticness... Ugh. I'm guilty of it. XD

Anywho, we all know Skipper and Marlene have become, at the least, friends in the series. As adorable of a couple as they'd make, they're in for one HELL of a ride. Even if they don't get together, I'd at least like to see their bond strengthen... Skipper just doesn't quite know how to get to Marlene, and can't be too sure about her being that she's a mammal. Maybe it'd hurt his pride to go after her, after all the insults he's made and stuff... As for Marlene, she's pretty much in that point of her life where she doesn't have to care about a thing and can just let all her energy out; no responsibilities. Dating's not quite on her list of things to do, but I'm pretty sure after the "Otter Gone Wild" episode, she's somewhat more interested. As for her opinion on Skipper, he's pretty much a great annoyance to her with his arrogance and paranoia, and we all know she wishes he'd loosen up a bit. This had to have been one reason as to why she got all sad at the end of "Miss Understanding", other than the fact that they were finally getting along a bit better than usual, since Skipper was- "out of it". XD They can't deny their friendship, though. :)

The good thing about these two is that they can stay in pace with one another. Marlene can really talk to Skipper and maybe make him change his mind about something important, as ignorant and naive as he is sometimes. lol If ever a relationship formed, I think he'd need to lean on her more than she would him. It almost seems as if the pair's friendship strengthens, even just a little bit, with every episode, though. The only thing that stands in our way now is Julien- and if Skipper somehow really IS jealous, this could lead up to a whole 'nother Skipper vs. Julien thing to the extreme. o.O Hopefully the producers will see that the majority of us support Skilene...

yes cause when they first meant they were friends then next thing you know,soon or later they will be together.and cause that what in youtbe put about them as "skilene" and in madagascar 2 melmen and gloria liked ech other so... thats possible.for a male bird and a female mammal

In some episodes you can see that skipper really cares about marlene and he trys to empress her and hit on her. In the episodes miss understanding he puts his flipper around her and hugs her little bit. When you really look at them together you can see that they both act a little like they want to be more than just friends.
