What episode? Anyway, in the original movie I heard that word too. Skipper covered it up by saying an expression but I most definatly used my Dish to rewind and I heard it.

Skipper said "Hoover dam, we're still in New York!"

lol, remember in the movie when the wood said "help" then something fell off the P and it said "hell" and alex said something about going to hell, too, but he said heck instead

Maybe they think little kids will never notice if they bury the words with something else.

Lets get our facts straight
there is no profanity in penguins of madagascar ecxept for the christmas episode where skipper sais hoover dam. in madagascar two private sais "In the case of a water emergency place the vest over your head and kiss you (vest pops) goodbye"
over a year ago 18wanda said…
I don't get that...

I think when the vest pops he said @ss (I can't cuss so i use an @)
over a year ago KowalskiTheLich said…
That is what is implied. And I'm going to watch that movie sometime this week, so I'll have to see if I can read his lips XD
over a year ago Penguin11 said…
You can't see his face, it popped over his face

Curse them...making everything so hard...
over a year ago monsy38 said…
ah well, is it so bad if they cuss? I cuss 'bout 20 times a day (I don't like, finish every sentense with a cuss word, but, you get me right?) so i figure, hey, penguins oughtta have the right to speak their mind too. if they can speak, which these can so...all right, I'll shut up now.

Note that if the penguins swore frequently on the show, no parents would let their kids watch the show and it would likely be taken off air sincethe show's target audience would not be watching.

I would love it even more if they cursed, but of corse i just love bad stuff, and the scary horror movies that scare grownups, wlets just say they should so be labeled comedys, Hannibal is just so funny, and those german guys got what was coming to them!!!
=P I got off point again. O well...

You need to watch the Dario Argento Phantom of the Opera...that's some serious gore. But the dialoge is so terrible that it's funny anyway so you would probably by dying of laughter.

I've always wanted to see POTO. I know the general story of it, but have failed to watch the play or movie or any other form of production with it. It sounbds really good. :/
and to P11, yeah XD i think the show would be way funnier if they let one slip once in a while, but i guess they would get canceled. oh well XD

BTW there's a sex scene in it. Be careful.

Also, I never actually watched this movie (to relieve any bad thoughts you may have about me) but a really funny review about it on YouTube which edited out all of the gore and sex by showing a blurry screen. The review was amazingly funny. I watched them all several times.

just for something to do, I'll list all of the gore. A ripped out tongue, a stalactite impailing, a ripped in half guy, a decapitation, a bunch of squashed bodies during the famous chandeler-crashing scene and a lot of not that bloody fights.

Also note that the musical version of the movie (2004 one) has almost no blood or gore at all and the only really violent part is when a guy gets hanged. Only the 1998 version is gory.

Yeah. After those fascinating details, I ain't ever watching that! That is all the stuff I try to avoid.
over a year ago KowalskiTheLich said…
Good for you! The review on YouTube was entertaining without being gross but the movie itself if something I would never watch. I am particularly squeamish when it comes to bloody movies.
over a year ago monsy38 said…
i am also not a fan of bloody movies (yes, i was that chicken that ran out of the theatert during the Saw movie) but i guess i don't care much as long the movie is good. as for the sex part, well, can't say i haven't heard it all in school, and the movies of today aren't very great in the censorship, so, whateve, I'll give it a try.
XD i sound like some freaky messed up chick who loves all that porn stuff. which i don't really, i just find that by now it's everywhere.

The bloodiest movie that I've managed to sit through the entire thing is Troy or maybe Gladiator. As for this Phantom movie, it sounds really gross but it's not as bad as it sounds because it is sort of old and didn't have the best make-up artist, so a lot of the gore looks really fake (at least in the parts Youtube didn't censor).

Finally, the movie is pretty much the opposite of good, it's one of the cheesiest movies I've ever heard of. The dialogue is simply a joke...okay, so the Phantom is raised by these telepathic rats (!) and ends a chase sceen with the line: 'I am not a Phantom. I'm a rat.' WORST LINE EVER!

Also, the Phantom puts rats in his pants. Seriously.

i wish the show wasn't so clean. i think they should sneak in a swear word here and there and be able to get away with it without overprotective parents getting insane. or they should at least do what they did in the second movie, where they cuss but a loud noise overrides it so you can't hear it, but still know what they are saying. you know, like where private says "and kiss your *POP!!* goodbye." he really said "and kiss your ass goodbye." but you couldn't hear it. or they should say not-so-bad words like 'crap' or 'hell'
over a year ago 18wanda said…
I like the show clean, but maybe a tiny bit funny if they slipped a small one in there now and again.
over a year ago monsy38 said…
yup. I mean, would army men hold back from saying cuss words now and then? No. So, yeah. XD we're messed up, we want cuss words on a kid's show, ah well, what's more to be expected of us XD
over a year ago KowalskiTheLich said…
Lol. Personally, I wouldn't mind them putting the 'bleep censor' in becuase I find its application to be hilarious. Unfortunantly it always implies that they are always using a word worse than 'crap' or 'damn'.
over a year ago ThatDamnLlama said…
smile
yeah, they only use the word censor when people say 'f*ck' or 'sh*t', or sometimes 'b*tch'. if they used a bleeper to beep out words such as damn or hell or crap, people are going to think they are saying worse things like the 'f' or 's' word, and that would be bad. but you are on to something.
