Instead, my guess will be her tail, as it connects to her body in a way not seen on real otters. Although even this does not make Marlene unique in the series, as Antonio's tail is also of the same styling.

I think you're right. They left it open so it could be a few different things, but I'm sure they meant her back-side or something.

Part of the fun of it is letting us guess at this. Hey, Spongebob's gotten away with showing panties on tv, and Spencer from iCarly refuses to believe his buttocks are flat. So yeah, it's possible.

Well, whatever that was misshappen, she probably grew out of it because he couldn't recognize her on TV...then again, his eyes must've been incredibly dry from not blinking. I agree with SJF that it could be her tail. I doubt there's anything wrong with her face, Julien fell for her!...Then again, Julien IS Julien...
