**•Regina Vs Wicked Witch, A Baby, A Wedding And More!•**

The upcoming second half of Once Upon a Time will feature many huge developments for the series, including big fights, a wedding and guest appearances.
The Wicked Witch (guest star Rebecca Mader) will be featured in the upcoming spring premiere of Once Upon a Time season 3, according to a new report by TV Guide.
Once executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with the publication about what fans can expect from the episodes, previewing a big battle with the Wicked Witch.
"There might be some other surprises along the yellow brick road," Kitsis said. "We're setting up the fight of all fights: Evil Queen versus Wicked Witch!"
Additionally, the show will not hide actress Ginnifer Goodwin's baby bump in the coming episodes. Her character Snow White will be dealing with pregnancy with Charming (Josh Dallas). Snow and Charming's baby will also have a connection with the baby of Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger) and Prince Phillip (Julian Morris).

They also teased a series of tidbits that fans should expect for the episodes, including Emma meeting a stranger (guest star Christopher Gorham) in New York City, Charming rescuing Rapunzel (guest star Alexandra Metz) in her tower and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) coming into contact with her candelabra friend Lumiere (guest star Henri Lubatti).
The Once Upon a Time season 3 finale will be a big one for the show, as there will be a wedding. As for possible contenders, the report lists Belle and Rumple (Robert Carlyle), Emma and Hook (Colin O'Donoughue) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).

**•OUAT Season 3B Burning Questions Answered•**

Will we get an answer as to why Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Neal (Michael Raymond James) had to go back to the Enchanted Forest even though neither came via the curse?
Adam Horowitz: Anyone not from this world went back to where they were from.
Edward Kitsis: Except for Emma (Jennifer Morrison), who was the savior. She was a special exception.

Will Regina's (Lana Parrilla) gift to Emma and Henry (Jared Gilmore) have consequences when it comes to their relationship?
Horowitz and Kitsis: Yes.

Since Regina undid the curse so that Storybrooke never existed, does that mean any deaths in Storybrooke didn't occur?
Kitsis: No, death is death.
Horowitz: Everything that happened in those three years actually happened. It's not that anything was undone. All the events of the time in Storybrooke are real and occurred and affected the characters. The only difference is that Emma doesn't have memories of it.
Kitsis: I think the subtext of the question is will Jamie Dornan be alive. He is busy shooting a movie, but as always, we want him as much as possible. No one loves Dornan more than me.

Will Emma finally have a friend who isn't her mom?
Kitsis: She will. She absolutely will. In a lot of ways, I might say that Hook has become a friend that isn't her mom.

Will we get some Hook versus the modern world moments?
Horowitz: Yes.

Would a second child of Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) have powers?
Kitsis: Can't say.

Will we find out what deal Hook made with Pan (Robbie Kay) to escape Neverland?
Kitsis: We will not get to that this year.

Have we seen the last of Neverland?
Horowitz: This year, yes.

Could Greg (Ethan Embry) still be alive since Blue (Keegan Connor Tracy) returned to her body when the Shadow was burned?
Kitsis: Absolutely he could be, but he's stuck in a cave in Neverland. Since we're not going this year, I don't think we'll see him.

Will we see Oz?
Horowitz and Kitsis: Yes.

Will we find out who the parents of the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) are?
Kitsis: Absolutely.

Is the Wicked Witch related to any of the characters we've seen on the show?
Kitsis: Can't tell you.

Do other characters besides Regina have history with the Wicked Witch?
Horowitz: Yes.

Once Upon a Time: Emma's new life, Regina's new love and a wicked new villain

Will we know for sure who Emma's true love is by the end of Season 3?
Horowitz: Can't say.

Will we see Belle's (Emilie de Ravin) life before Rumple (Robert Carlyle)?
Kitsis: Not this season, but we plan to at some point.

Any chance we'll see a young Belle?
Horowitz: There's always a chance. We'd love to get to that.
Kitsis: Not this year.

Will we see Belle and Neal bond over their shared loss of loved ones?
Kitsis: Yup.

Did the storybook appear to Mary Margaret when Henry began to question his situation?
Kitsis: That's a tricky one. It's not a yes, no or can't answer.
Horowitz: You've seen part of the reasoning in Episode 311 and hopefully more.
Kitsis: More to come!

Does Snow's heart still have a dark spot on it?
Kitsis: Probably.

Will we see Ursula (voice by Yvette Nicole Brown) in any future episodes?
Kitsis: Not this season.
Horowitz: But we'd love to!

Will we see more of Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Aurora's (Sarah Bolger) past soon?
Kitsis: In a flashback, no. Will we learn more about Aurora's past, yes.
Horowitz: In a manner of speaking, yes.

Any chance any of the Frozen characters could come to life on Once?
Kitsis: That has been our favorite movie this year. We would love to, but not this year.

Will we see where Emma was when she was younger?
Kitsis: Not this season, but we intend to next year.

Will we see Roland, Robin Hood's (Sean Maguire) son, again?
Horowitz: Yes.

Is the character who dies male?
Horowitz: Can't say.
Kitsis: We're not telling. You're just going to have to watch!

**•Consequences Of Regina's "Gift" & Return To Storybrooke•**

When the mid-season finale aired, Regina cast a spell on Emma and Henry to give them happy memories. However, when TV Guide asked if that gift would have consequences as far as their relationship is concerned, Horowitz and Kitsis said yes. Now the question is what kind of consequences will there be?

As far as Storybrooke is concerned, previews show that it will return, which means that there was some sort of loophole or reversal of Peter Pan's curse. Fans have been told before that those who died in Storybrooke would not return and that their deaths are permanent. However, WetPaint reported that Rumple could be returning since his picture was included in the promo photos that were recently released. If the deaths are permanent, then why is his photo there? Could he be coming back in flashbacks or will there be something that brings him back?

Viewers have been talking about Regina and Robin. It turns out that they will meet on episode 13, titled "Witch Hunt." According to TV Line, Kitsis said that the two will meet under interesting circumstances.

They also spoke about Peter Pan and Neverland. Viewers will not find out this year what the deal was that Hook made with Pan. They also confirmed that there will be no more Neverland, at least this year.

When it comes to the Wicked Witch, there has been some mystery surrounding the character. But Kitsis said that viewers will find out who her parents are and Horowitz revealed that she does have history with other characters besides Regina.

**•Adam & Eddy Tease-"How The Wicked Witch Will Impact On The Characters & More!"•**

What can you tease about what’s in store for fans during the second half of the season?
Eddy Kitsis: Well, it’s Wicked versus Evil. The Wicked Witch versus the Evil Queen.

Since a year has passed, will we be getting flashbacks showing what everyone was up to in the time we missed?
Adam Horowitz: We are getting flashbacks.
EK: What happened in the last year will definitely be shown. You’re not going to feel, like, “Wait a minute!” We’re going to see Emma’s life, and we’re going to see what happened in the Enchanted Forest, and who they encountered.

In the past, when characters are separated, it has taken a bit of time for them to be reunited. How long should fans expect it to be before Emma and Henry reconnect with the people they left behind?
EK: I would say it happens in an unexpected way in an unexpected time. But if you’re saying, will it be 12 episodes before Emma sees her parents, no, no.
AH: We are in the age of Twitter, we do see the pitchforks.
EK: One of the things we loved about the first half of the season was that we felt we told one story through character, and we intend to do the same in the second. We’re really focusing on the core characters and their journey, and everything they have come so far [for]…for us, it’s just continuing that.

Is the Wicked Witch the new foe for the second half of the season, or is she, perhaps, their new antagonist going forward for the foreseeable future?
EK: The second half of the season. Just like Pan, or Cora last year.

Is she related to anyone that we know?
AH: Yes. She absolutely is.
EK: She’s connected to a few of our characters.

Interesting. Since it’s been such a long hiatus, are you looking online to see what all the fan theories are about her, and what’s to come?
EK: [I] stay away, because it tends to not do the greatest things for my psyche. It’s hard to write a [story] with everyone commenting all the time. What happens is there are so many contradictory thoughts, that it ends up just making me cry. And so my wife has pulled me from the internet.

No crying!
EK: At the end of the day, you hear certain things, you write this for the fans, but at the end of the day, you have to have a vision and stick to it, and if it fails and people hate it, you have to deal with it.

Well, there’s also literally no way to make every single fan happy.
EK: Zero. Impossible. [It's] too fast, too slow, not enough, too much. So for us, it’s like, let’s do what we like, and as long as we’re happy at the end of the day, you hope other people are. But at least you don’t look back and say, “I only did this because Chewbacca20 said he hated this!”

This was the first time you guys were able to officially split the season in half and tell different stories with each arc. What lessons did you learn from that first half of a season that you’re now applying to the second half of the year?
AH: We loved it. We loved doing it, because it allowed us to tell a complete story, and then do a launching pad at the end to set up another complete story we wanted to tell this year. It was a lot of fun to focus in on the characters and allow a complete journey in the first half, and then take them to a new place in the second.
EK: You’re going to see the second half of the season feels like a different season.

Did you have to pitch both halves of the season at the same time to ABC? Or did you get to pitch it a half season at a time?
EK: We had to do it all at once.
AH: At the beginning of the year, we had to lay out a big picture plan.
EK: ABC has been very supportive. They really support us and let us do our vision. They’ve been great as a network. No matter what crazy thing we say: “We’re going to take the show, and we’re going to go to Neverland, and we’re barely going to show Storybrooke.” And they said, OK, you know.

Are we going to be seeing Oz?
EK: Absolutely.
AH: Not in the way that we saw Neverland, in spending [a large amount of time there].
EK: Much in the way in season 1, we went to Wonderland for an episode, [we'll visit Oz]. We’re going to find out how the Wicked Witch became green.

Oh, that’s awesome. What has Rebecca Mader (Wicked Witch) brought to the show?
EK: Oh, wickedness. She is a Wicked Witch who knows how to get hers. She is like delicious and evil and wicked and sexy and strong. And the Evil Queen just hates her…Rebecca, we wrote for her on LOST, and we always loved her, and we always had her in the back of our minds as someone and then we knew this was perfect. We just wanted to see what would happen if we put her with everyone in a room together and let them go at it…she’s a real talent.

How are Snow and Charming dealing with losing Emma again?
EK: Twice!
AH: Their life sucks!
EK: They always have faith, they always have hope. What’s interesting is Regina just gave up her child for his best chance, the way that Snow did. So what’s interesting is we have a scene where they talk about it, and how they deal with it.

Given the loss Regina went through, where do we find her, emotionally, when the show picks back up?
AH: Regina is neither hero nor villain.
EK: She’s Regina.
AH: She’s her own unique creation. She does what she does for a very specific reason that goes beyond simple good and evil. And I think she continues that way. We saw her uneasy alliance with the characters, and I think that will happen, but what I think will continue to happen is when she encounters the Wicked Witch, there are some major sparks that will fly.

Since Ginnifer Goodwin is pregnant in real-life — and Snow and Charming talked about expanding their family earlier this season — can you say whether or not that will be written into the show?
EK: I will say, whatever [happens,] Ginny’s real life copied us, because we wrote it first. Whatever we do in the second half of the season, we were first.

Fair! What are you most excited for people to see?
AH: The Wicked Witch. In addition to Rebecca just being wonderful and all that, what she does to all our other characters, and how they react, and what it brings out in everybody, from Snow and Charming, Regina, Belle, it’s fun. It’s exciting for us as writers, and we hope the audience agrees.

What makes this teaser a little bit tricky is that when you see “Do something. Emma,” it is easy to read that as “Do something Emma,” which completely changes up what it could possibly mean. Let’s just be grateful that Horowitz is at least kind enough to share anything right now, despite the fact that it is a long weekend where there is not that much going on."

• In the first 15 minutes of the episode, the following things occur: A picnic, note-passing, purple smoke, mention of Pompeii, and two offers that Emma doesn't really know how to refuse.

• Home life for the Swans includes video games, eggs and plaid pants that are not our favorite fashion choice.

• This amazing Captain Hook line is voiced: "They force-fed me something called bologna."

• If you are ever in New York City, do not consume inexplicable substances handed to you by strange men. Or actually, don't ever do that.

• It's possible to hijack magic spells. Possible side effects of this include a propensity to quote Goldilocks out of context.

• Emma and Henry have made a very nice life for themselves in NYC, complete with a snazzy new wardrobe for the bail bondswoman. Also, Chris Gorham’s (Covert Affairs) character is a very big part of their world.

• Hook is relentless in his quest to make Emma believe the fantastical truth, and he’s got a couple of tricks up his leather sleeve to help him convince her of her origins. There’s also much comedy to be found in his (mis)adventures in the city.

• Flashbacks to one year ago reveal how the denizens of Storybrooke landed in a very convenient place once back in the Enchanted Forest, where they ran into multiple familiar faces — some of whom withhold a huge secret.

• Everyone will stick together in their travels in the Enchanted Forest — except for one character who forges out on his/her own.

• Someone gets locked up.

• Regina takes drastic measures to deal with the pain of missing Henry — while Snow White tries to play wingman for her frenemy.

• This line will make you LOL: “He smells of forest.”

**•OUAT 3x12-"New York City Serenade" Promo Pics & Spoilers!•**

Different Time Zones: In true OUAT fashion, we’ll start this crop of episodes bouncing between present and a year ago that will unfold into a bigger mystery. Gotta tell ya, it’s nice to see the bulk of characters back together in big group scenes though it may not stay that way for long!

Wicked Witch Backstory: We’ll see the fantastic greened-up Rebecca Mader in the first episode back, but don’t expect to get her history immediately.

“The backstory is kind of doled out over a few [episodes],” said Horowitz, with Kitsis adding: “As far as her origin story, we’ll actually reveal that in episode 16, which is entitled ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green.’”

And her name is not Elphaba as you might think. It is Zelena.

Going to the Chapel... and Behind Bars?: While I cannot say between which characters, there is a (OMG!) marriage proposal in the episode, as well as someone else ending up in jail.

New York, New York! Henry and Emma are living happily ever after when the episode kicks off. Henry is in school (a school project is mentioned) and their apartment is pretty nice. But, of course, how long before this gets shaken up? I mean, does anyone stay happy long on Once Upon A Time?

How much Oz? With Mader’s Zelena in the picture - as well as a few evil monkeys (they’re much scarier than the ones in The Wizard Of Oz!) - will this season be as Oz-centric as the first half of the season was with Neverland?

“It’s very different in its conception,” explained Horowitz. “The Wicked Witch is a big part of the second half and a driving force as an antagonist but the world of Oz, it’s a place that will see and we will spend a little bit of time there but it’s not a ‘everybody gets on a ship and goes there’ kind of thing.”

And, yes, a nod to the Yellow Brick Road and maybe some other Oz characters will come.

Aren’t you…? Yes, you’ll see Chris Gorham (Auggie on Covert Affairs) appearing in the episode on the New York side of things as Walsh, a love interest for Emma. But, as we saw in Once Upon A Time Season 3 Episode 11, Hook is also in a New York state of mind…

Where is Glinda, the Good Witch? We will meet Sunny Mabrey in the iconic role in latter half of this new crop of episodes.

“I think she’s still Glinda the Good Witch in that she’s positive and has a lot of spirit to her,” said Kitsis of their spin on the character. 'But the kind of mythology of the four witches and that thing, we kind of created our own.” Horowitz also revealed that our Glinda is pure goodness but she’s a character “who has gone through a lot more.”

Who Steals Regina's Heart? Regina is feeling the pain of Henry’s absence and goes to (shocker) dramatic lengths to deal with it. But maybe Robin Hood (who we’ll see with his Merry Men) can help her wounded heart? (Reminder that Lana Parrilla teased us last fall about romance finally coming to Regina.)

Emma/Hook/Neal triangle: With Hook in NYC with Emma and Neal, well, not, don’t be surprised if the self-professed ‘scoundrel’ doesn’t take this opportunity as a way to worm his way into Miss Swan’s good graces. But, knowing Neal, I wouldn’t count him out just yet.

**•OUAT 3B Spoiler Roundup!•**

As for the setting of season 3, Neverland will not be included, but the co-creators have not ruled it out for future seasons. Fans will see Storybrooke, the Enchanted Forest, New York City and Oz.

How Storybrooke returns is unknown. The characters won't even be able to answer that question because they have no memory of the past year.

*Emma:

• In New York, Emma will meet a mysterious stranger and many fans think that he will be her new love interest. Christopher Gorham of "Covert Affairs" has been cast, but his character has been kept under wraps.

• Hook will try to get Emma to remember Storybrooke and the fairy tale characters, but it's not going to be easy. She will feel some sort of connection to him, though and one spoiler stated that she would even bail him out of jail.

• Eventually she must either remember or realize that Hook isn't just some crazy guy that is obsessed with her. At one point in a promo, she says,

• "It's not possible."
When she says that, she has a look on her face as if she has just witnessed something amazing, perhaps some sort of magic right before her eyes. Eventually, she, Henry and Hook hop into her car and drive away. Fans are speculating that they are headed towards Storybrooke and they are right. A promo shows Regina talking to Snow and Emma.

• Also, Emma, Charming, Hook and Regina will team up to find the Wicked Witch. They end up opening up a trap door and Emma is carrying a gun.

*The Wicked Witch:

• A new villain will be introduced. She is the Wicked Witch and will be played by Rebecca Mader. She seems to have some sort of beef with the Evil Queen and Edward Kitsis teased the upcoming interaction between the Regina and the Wicked Witch by saying,

• "We're setting up the fight of all fights: Evil Queen versus Wicked Witch!"
Also, it turns out that the Wicked Witch has a connection with not one, but two characters. Viewers will find out what caused her to turn green, who the Wicked Witch's parents are and her backstory, which are all important to the story in some way. Her name will also be revealed, but it will be her own, not one from "The Wizard of Oz" film or books.

• A promo clip shows the Wicked Witch giving someone a potion, but that someone (or something) has hairy hands. WetPaint wonders if she is handing it to one of the flying monkeys, who could be wrecking havoc on Storybrooke on her behalf.

*Regina:

• The Wicked Witch isn't the only one who is using magic. Fans will see Regina using her magic as Charming, Snow and the others watch.

*Glinda, the Good Witch:

• To balance out evil, the Wicked Witch's opposite, Glinda, the Good Witch will also be introduced. Very little is known about her character and it was only recently announced that Sunny Mabrey had been cast to play the part.

*Snow's pregnancy:

• Snow is pregnant (just like the actress who plays her, Ginnifer Goodwin.) While it was first thought that "Once Upon a Time" wrote her pregnancy in, the co-creators recently stated that they already had that in the storyline. Adam Horowitz did tease that having a child tends to attract chaos, that that is something for fans to look forward to.

*Prince Charming and Rapunzel:

• Prince Charming will pass out and a hooded figure approaches him from behind. Speaking of hooded figures, a spoiler recently stated that one would be present at Rapunzel's tower along with Charming. But don't expect Rapunzel (Alexandra Metz) to be like she was in the storybooks you read as a child. Co-creator Edward Kitsis told the TV Guide,

• “We went a little darker and freakier. A little more horror story in the vein of [the 2004 movie] The Grudge.”

*Regina and Robin Hood:

• Regina and Robin Hood are going to meet up again in the Enchanted Forest. This will happen on episode 13 and will meet under "interesting circumstances."

*Rumple:

• Fans are divided on whether Rumple will be back or not. The co-creators have stated that the deaths were real deaths and that they cannot be reversed, but actor Robert Carlyle's picture was included in the promo photos. It seems likely that he will be appearing in flashbacks.

*A major character death:

• A major character will die and fans are wondering if it could be Hook since he will be getting into a battle with Blackbeard. While there are a lot of other guesses on who could bite the dust, the co-creators have said that the only one who is safe from dying is Rumple, since he is already gone.

*Flying monkeys:

• In a promo clip there are flying monkeys. Snow and Regina look up towards the sky and look frightened. Then one of the flying monkeys swoops in Storybrooke and grabs someone that was near the town line.

*A wedding:

• There is word that there is going to be a wedding on the "Once Upon a Time" season finale and viewers are having fun speculating on who would tie the knot.

*New and returning faces:

• Also expect some characters to return such as Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora and International Business Times speculated that Tinkerbell may even come back. In addition to the new characters discussed above, fans will also meet Lumiere, a young Eva and Prince Leopold.

4. Snow helps Regina through an emotional moment and it’s touching to see how far they’ve come. [Bonus Outlaw Queen Shipper Scoop: If you weren’t already shipping these two, their first meeting will make you want to start. It’s flawless).

5. Speaking of Regina, murder remains her go-to solution for any problem that she comes across. Alternate suggestions are made by [spoiler] and [spoiler]. Will Regina listen or go back to her Evil Queen ways?

6. Storybrooke is back, but the how and the why are not immediately answered. Instead, we’re left with a mystery that will have viewers craving more episodes (Bonus non-shipper scoop: Out of all the throwbacks to the pilot, our favorite is a moment that takes place in Storybrooke).

7. Flying monkeys are absolutely terrifying. As for the Wicked Witch…we don’t learn a lot about her in the episode, but what we see? Perfection.

Bonus Dialogue Teases:

“Emma Swan always gets her man.”

“I know you better than you know yourself.”

“Stop looking for things to be wrong.”

OMG! I just had a theory! I'm guessing that Snow says these pieces of dialogue to Regina: 1# “I know you better than you know yourself.” 2# “Stop looking for things to be wrong.” Regina (or someone else) probably says to Snow: “Emma Swan always gets her man.” When Snow tries to introduce her to Robin Hood. I'm pretty uncertain of this one though. However, I seem more sense with Snow's apparent dialogue. over a year ago

**•OUAT 3x12-"New York City Serenade" Dialogue & Episode Teasers!•**

The first half of Season 3 found success by bringing the focus back to the core cast that we know and love, and "New York City Serenade" kept with the trend, putting the emphasis on emotions, even in the midst of a fair amount of plot.

We're sworn to secrecy about the details of the episode, so we can't tell you too much else — but we have collected 10 hints and quotes from the episode for you to contemplate while you wait.

1. An unexpected betrayal from good characters is implied. Fear gets to even the best of us.

2. "And here I thought you'd gone and changed." "I tried the hero thing. It didn't take."

3. An important location from Season 2 is revisited. (No, we're not just talking about Storybrooke.)

4. "I can't be happy without him." "Find a way."

5. It's all about gut feelings.

6. Will new alliances stay solid?

7. "He's kinda cute, huh?" "He smells like forest."

8. Hook in the modern world is funnier than ever.

9. There are some things the savior isn't meant to have.

10. There's a lot of tension, action, and stress in this episode — but some sweet moments and good news, too.

Regina: "He smells like forest."

*This may be out of order in the ep. I just tried to put it together in a contextual way in order to make sense.

**•MAJOR 3x12-"New York City Serenade" PLOT SPOILERS!•**

*Regina: She actually buries her heart. O_O
She takes it back anyway, which means she has her heart during this whole year in the EF.
This may be a little good news for SQ fans. A&E said Regina is not open to love in the EF cause she’s mourning Henry’s loss, so I always imagined she’ll fall for Robin in Storybrooke, and not in the EF? Somebody speculated she “can’t” fall for Robin in the EF cause she has no heart. And this is wrong. She has her own heart, but she probably misses Henry too much to care about love. (No matter what Snow suggests.)

*First scene should be Emma and Walsh at the restaurant, when he leaves for a minute, Hook steps in.
Leather jacket moment: When Emma gets her memories back, she looks at her red jacket, she grabs it, and she runs to Storybrooke! Savior to the rescue!!!! (this is gonna be cool!!)
Emma goes back to Storybrooke with Henry and Hook but Henry does NOT have his memories back!! Only Emma does.

*They go at the Charmings’ apartment, when Emma and Charmings meet they know each other, but they know they missed one year and they can’t understand how. Snow is heavily pregnant in the scene.
The last scene is the WW plotting.
Not much, but always something. I wonder if the potion Regina makes in the promo (and throw at the wall) is for Henry…

**•OUAT 3x12-"New York City Serenade SPOILERS!•**

1. Barbara Barnett (BB) has been very hard on Hook in the past, but she liked him in this episode. Clearly, our boy is doing well if he’s swaying people who haven’t liked him before.
2. Great scene between Regina and Snow that could’ve gone wrong if done a little differently; Regina is being almost motherly towards her.
3. Storybrooke will appear.
4. Aurora and Phillip appear as well.
5. Enchanted Forest scenes are all one year ago, and Emma exists only in the present, where 3A left off. So there are two timelines and characters that appear in both.
6. Walsh is a quiet, nice guy average joe who owns a furniture store (seemingly not a clue) and has been dating Emma for 8 months. Seems sweet and understanding—he proposes to her. Commentator went on to add, “Does [he] know Emma at all?”, implying it goes south. Emma’s still adverse to commitment.
7. Walsh has a scar on his neck—and he’s tied to Oz. He has a persona in the Enchanted Forest, BB won’t say if he’s a good or bad guy. BUT you’ll find out who he is in this episode.
8. Neal and Belle have a conversation about a couple of things, but mainly about Rumple’s death; no Rumple in the episode at all. Acknowledgements made however.
9. Seemed to BB that the breaking of the curse didn’t work entirely; something’s off. There are things that Regina isn’t controlling, or certain things that didn’t get a reset button. (speculative)
10. Jiminy is back in cricket form. He only chirps.
11. Robin Hood interacts with many. ;)
12. Ginny is noticeably pregnant if you’re looking for it/know about it, but nothing is mentioned or made to seem in-plot.
13. BB is gonna have an article/preview out next week.
14. Zelena makes an appearance, but not until the last part of the episode. She says, “Regina may be evil, but I’m wicked.” She appears malicious and nasty.
15. Neal and the Charmings don’t deal well with being separated from Henry and Emma; Neal worse than others. But Regina misses Henry, Belle misses Rumple; all of these characters mourning loss is relevant.
16. “Sparky chemistry” between Hook and Emma.
17. BB now says she can be convinced of Captain Swan, after seeing this episode. She really liked him in this episode; very dashing and persistent and the pivotal character in a lot of the episode—his actions cause more things to happen than most.
CS moves the story and she really loved their interactions.
18. We don’t found how/when Hook came back for Emma yet/got to NYC, at least not in this episode.
19. We do learn that Hook really hates bologna. (cry)
20. Wraiths go unmentioned, and we don’t know how they saved Phillip yet. They’re keeping secrets from the main group, some we don’t know.
21. Hook and Charming have a great scene together that has to do with a horse. (“Use your imagination, knowing this is a family show.”) (A couple of great scenes actually)
22. We see Hook react to Walsh and they have a scene together. Hook is of course jealous, though he won’t admit it.
23. Henry is rather clueless, but BB doesn’t think his matchmaker-role plays a large part in the ep.
24. Really nice reset to the show, and something between Emma and Henry is really cool, just from a narrative standpoint.
25. Won’t say if Emma regains her memories or not.
26. Hook and Henry interact, BB doesn’t think it’s significant.
27. Lots of Hook vs the modern world. And vs bologna, the justice system…there are funny moments.
28. There seems to be an uneasy alliance between Regina and the Charmings; as of right now it’s established.
29. The premiere is not predictable. Nice twists and turns; she however was spoiler free going into the preview.
30. BB thinks the Zelena being Regina’s half-sister is plausible; the premiere suggests backstory between the two of them, but it doesn’t imply anything specific.
31. We see Regina’s castle.
32. The Dark Castle (Rumple’s) comes up, but she can’t say if we see it or not.
33. The CGI was really excellent in this episode; something that was seen before was redone really well in the Regina/Snow scene.
34. Belle only has a couple of lines in the episode, but one of them is really important, and a clue.
35. Regina doesn’t know who Robin is yet in this episode, in terms of the tattoo. There was a comment about how cute he is. (lol omg)
36. We see two sets and two props again that the commentator didn’t expect to see again. Two of the props were significant in an episode that has a city name.
37. There is a hot fudge sunday involved. (?i think that’s what i heard)
38. There was a reference to superhero powers. (likely her thing with lies)
39. There was blood in the episode.
40. There’s an interaction between Regina and Little John, and it’s very sassy.
41. There are several favorite CS moments, there’s a good Rumbelle moment, but it’s minor. There’s a lot of pining on Neal’s part, ST wise. Best relationship stuff is between Hook and Emma

**•D23 2014-OUAT Season 3B Interview With Creators•**

It’s Wicked versus Evil as ABC’s Once Upon A Time returns this Sunday, March 9. As fans saw in the show’s mid-season finale, all of Storybrook’s storybook characters were transported back to the Enchanted Forest, while Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gimore) set off for New York City, their memories of the spellbinding events of the past two years wiped clean and replaced with new, happy memories of a life together. The episode featured two cliffhanger moments: Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) finds Emma in Manhattan and tells her that her family is in danger. And in the teaser for the show’s return we learned that “Wicked Is Coming” in the form of a notorious green witch, in the Once-iverse called Zelena and played by Rebecca Mader.

D23 sat down with series creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for an exclusive interview and to get the scoop on the mid-season premiere. Enjoy this first look—with behind-the-scenes photos.

There have been so many tellings of The Wizard of Oz story. How did you decide what to pick from?
Eddy: We’re going back to the actual book. Truly what we’re doing is what we usually do, which is create our own mythology and our own Wicked Witch. So this one is going to have a specific relationship with a couple of our characters.
Adam: And for us, “Wicked” is an attitude, it’s a style…
Eddy: It’s a way of life.
Adam: It’s a way of life. It’s a deliciousness that Rebecca Mader brings to this character. We think it injects a new color—literally—into the show. But there will be no easing on down the road.
Eddy: Believe me, no one is more upset than I am. [Laughs] And we wanted to see what happens when Wicked [Witch] fights Evil [Queen].

In this behind-the-scenes photo, Rebecca Mader takes flight in the new episode as the Wicked Witch character called Zelena.

Well, according to your new slogan “Wicked Always Wins.”
Eddy: It depends upon who you ask. If you ask the Evil Queen, she thinks it’s the opposite.
Adam: We delve into the history of the Wicked Witch. You’ll see how she became wicked, and you’ll see how she turned green.

So why is Zelena showing up now?
Adam: If you go back to the pilot, it’s in there. When Emma crashes the car and the book is flipping pages, you’ll see flying monkeys. And you see it again in, I believe, the third episode of the series. We put the Oz mythology into the show at an early stage.
Eddy: We even talked about the silver slippers.
Adam: We talked about them in episode 205 when Rumpel[stiltskin] is making a deal with Jefferson [the Mad Hatter]. We’ve dipped our toe. We’ve put little clues in for fans who have looked closer. This is something we’ve wanted to do for a while, and now we finally have the opportunity to go there.

Christopher Gorham shows up in the first episode back. How did you decide on him for the role?
Adam: Chris Gorham is an old dear friend of ours—we worked with him on the show Popular, one of our first jobs. It was a juicy part that had Chris written all over it. We called him up and he told us he was a fan of the show, which we choose to believe.
Eddy: And we think people will be surprised by his role—there are a few twists to it.

Last summer you said there was no denying the connection between Hook and Emma, and this fall they kissed. Will the romance continue?
Adam: It’s not as simple as it might seem on the surface. And I suppose it’s never simple when your memories have been taken and magically replaced. For Emma, she’s a person who has huge issues in her life to deal with beyond the romance. And when she does get her memories back, how is she going to deal with that? Is she going to be ready to jump into a romance? Probably not. There are a lot of hoops that need to be jumped through and a lot of things that need to be dealt with first. Primarily, what’s going to happen to her son?

Recently you said that you had ideas for Sheriff Graham (Jamie Dornan). Any way those could be revealed?
Adam: It’s really only the kind of idea we can talk about after you’ve seen the finale because it would give away stuff. But it wasn’t like the season hinged around him.
Eddy: We just love Jamie and we love writing for him.
Adam: As we’re doing the show we always think, “Is there a place we can bring him back?” So if there’s ever an opportunity, we’d love to have him back. The story we’re telling is still the story we’re telling. There just would have been more of a “Graham twist” to it.
Eddy: It will be obvious.

You’ve alluded to some darkness with the Rapunzel (Alexandra Metz) story. So it sounds like we are veering away from Tangled?
Adam: We love Tangled, but it’s a twist on the original story. To do the twist on the twist… We felt [we should] let Tangled be the brilliant thing it is and go back the original story and try to find our own twist.
Eddy: We went back to the original and are going more in the vein of a horror story. A witch locks you in a tower, so that’s not a pleasant thing.
Adam: The dilemma our Rapunzel finds herself in is a pretty twisted one.

Will we see more of Mulan and perhaps her interest in a certain princess?
Eddy: We would love to see more of Mulan, but she is on Believe right now so that has prevented us from bringing her back this season. But we love Jamie Chung, we love the character and we’d love to explore more of her adventures next year.

Oz is a huge world to tackle. Why take it on right after Never Land, which was also a huge world?
Adam: I think when you see the approach we take to Oz, hopefully you’ll understand why. We’re approaching the second half of season three differently than we did the first. We’re not planning to go to Oz and spend 11 episodes in Oz and live in that universe. What we want to do is spend time with this Wicked Witch character who is an antagonist to all these characters we’ve spent years with, and dip our toe into Oz in a few select places.

The Wicked Witch, Glinda (Sunny Mebrey), and flying monkeys are appearing on the show. Will we see other Ozians?
Eddy: Absolutely. We will see a few other iconic Oz characters throughout the season.

Where does their story fit into the timeline of the traditional Wizard of Oz story we are familiar with—pre- or post-Dorothy?
Adam: It will become very clear. Everything you wonder about where it exists in relation to Dorothy and the story you know—or you think you know—we will explain.

At the risk of running out of Disney characters, you did once mention you’d like to get Tiana in there. Any others you’d like to work in?
Adam: We love some of the newer ones.
Eddy: Obviously we’d be dying to do Frozen. We would love to [incorporate] Merida.
Adam: Whether we get to them or not, characters like Anna, Elsa and Merida feel like they could be slotted in.
Eddy: And then there’s favorites of ours like Mr. Toad. We haven’t figured it out yet but we love Mr. Toad. We still haven’t done Aladdin and Jasmine.
Adam: We mentioned before that we love Cruella De Vil. Pongo has appeared on the show.

Elsa’s freezing gift could be a really, well, cool thing to play out on the show.
Eddy: Elsa would be fantastic for us.

I hope it’s not a big spoiler alert to say Henry is playing a video game on which he is thrilled to reach level 23. Coincidence?
Eddy: Not at all. It is absolutely a shout-out to our faithful at D23.

Last season Tinker Bell showed Regina that she did have a true love—Robin Hood (Sean Maguire). Now that she’s back in the Enchanted Forest, any chance she could find that romance with Robin?
Eddy: I would be disappointed if we set that up and didn’t at least explore it. But the question for me is, if Regina does come across Robin Hood again, will she open her heart or will she remain closed? That’s a story we’re going to explore this season.

With Once Upon A Time in Wonderland wrapping up, would you consider incorporating some of those characters into Once Upon A Time?
Adam: We love that show and we love the characters. Looking down the field, if there’s the opportunity to bring one or more of them onto the Once mothership, it could happen.

Any other characters from the past we may see returning this spring?
Eddy: Absolutely. There will be people from season one who reappear. And having been away from Storybrook for so long, it will be good to see Archie and Ruby.

You’d said Ginnifer Goodwin’s pregnancy would be addressed in the show. Will we have a royal baby this season?
Eddy: If you believe in love, we’ll find out…

What else will we learn this season?
Eddy: I would say… There’s no place like home.

**•OUAT Season 3B-Lana Talks About A "Crestfallen" Regina•**

“Once Upon a Time’s” Evil Queen/Regina has returned to fairy tale land, and as the season resumes on Sunday night, the character played by Lana Parrilla is in a very dark place.

Stopping one curse, by undoing her own, Lana’s Regina and her fairy tale brethren were taken back to the land they sprung from, erasing both Storybrooke and the memories of both Emma Swan and Henry.

Knowing that her adopted son is out there, with no memories of her — or their years together --will hit Regina hard when the show returns to ABC on Sunday night at 8/7c, Lana told AccessHollywood.com in a new interview. And, then there was a little talk about karaoke, too.

AccessHollywood.com: When the show comes back, who is Regina now that she’s back in fairytale land?

Lana Parrilla: Oh gosh, she’s a brokenhearted Regina.

Access: Awww…

Lana: Yeah. That’s because she had to give up her son, and she goes back to fairy tale land. There’s an image out there that I saw, and she’s just crestfallen, like her face is just, she’s — tears [are] coming out of her eyes. It’s not where she really wants to be and she just had no other choice. She had to make that decision in order to save everyone and most importantly, Henry, so she’s not really happy to be back in fairy tale land. She’s quite depressed about it.

Access: Is there anyone she can turn to? She’s not really the most open, talkative woman. And, she is surrounded by people who’ve had mixed feelings about her throughout the seasons.

Lana: Yes, I mean at this point, Regina is not the most open woman, but she doesn’t have anyone to talk to. I think what we end up seeing and I don’t want to give away too much ‘cause I don’t like spoilers (laughs) — I really don’t, I love surprises — but, I think what we’ll see is there is someone in her past that she has always had a very difficult relationship with, but so much time has passed and they have had to work together and she has moments where she confides in this person. It isn’t a new character. It’s someone that we know and you’ll see it in the first episode, this Sunday. There’s a small conversation between them where she basically is just talking about how much she misses her son and how difficult it is for her.

Access: Speaking of her son, how certain is she that Emma and Henry have lost their memories and won’t be able to come find them?

Lana: She’s pretty certain about that. She’s done this once before. She’s erased people’s memories. I think she’s pretty confident. It’s also part of what’s so sad about it, because she knows that Henry’s out there and doesn’t know that she exists. I think that’s the most heartbreaking [thing] for Regina.

Access: That is the same thing that Emma had to deal with, with giving her son up, and knowing that he was out there and didn’t know his birth mother. Now, it seems Regina will have to deal with that same kind of emotional arc, I would guess.

Lana: Oh yeah, and… that takes us through quite a bit, in the first I’d say, four to five episodes.

Access: There is a cute thief (Robin Hood) in fairy tale land. Can we expect their paths to cross? She was told that she has a true love out there earlier in the season and we know he is out there. Will we be able to see them together at some point?

Lana: They do meet up, but she doesn’t know who he is. They actually have to work together, but it’s not what you think. There’s a slight flirtation, there’s a little flirtation, but the way I kind of describe it is they’re ‘romancing the stone.’ You know? There’s just a lot of tension between them, which is great to see on screen, but in fairy tale land, like I said, Regina’s heart is so broken and really closed off to anyone. … She’s really given up and she has a secret up her sleeve and it’s quite jarring when you see it. And so at this stage, she’s not open to love, she’s not looking for any replacements or anyone to fill the void. Right now she’s mourning.

Access: Have you heard Sean [Maguire, who plays Robin] sing… because he had a pop career in Britain?

Lana: Yes! I know, he told me! I have not heard him sing. Although we do have kind of have a little ‘Once Upon a Band’ going.

Access: Really?

Lana: Yeah, Colin O’Donoghue plays guitar and sings all the time and I think the boys went out karaoke-ing the other night, and Josh [Dallas] has a great voice and I love to sing and I think we all really love to sing.

Access: What is your karaoke standard?

Lana: I love Pat Benatar and The Pretenders. I just love The Pretenders. I also – I like Rod Stewart (laughs).

Access: A little ‘Maggie May’ or something?

Lana: ‘Maggie May’ is one of the best songs to sing. Toto, you gotta do Toto once in a while and do ‘Africa.’ … I’m kind of a dork like that, but I love karaoke.

Access: Finally, we know Rebecca Mader is coming in as the wicked witch. Is being wicked worse than being evil?

Lana: Is it worse than being evil? Hmm… I think they’re both pretty badass, I would say. I don’t think one’s worse than other. I think that they both have different ways of executing their revenge and anger and for different reasons. … Evil is pretty evil and wicked’s pretty wicked. I don’t know, I think they’re both equally badass is what I would say.

Access: Different sides of the same coin.

Lana: Yeah. I just think that they are – it’s gonna be fun. She’s doing an incredible job and I think people are really going to love watching the wicked witch and what she brings to our show!

**•OUAT Season 3B- "Mystery, Amnesia, Yet Another Curse & More!"•**

The second half of Season 3, premiering Sunday at 8/7c, “is much more of, in a broad term, a whodunnit mystery. In a lot of ways,” says Eddy Kitsis, who created Once with Adam Horowitz. And the nature of said puzzle is unsettling, to say the least. “It’s kind of creepy, but a good creepy — a little like a horror film,” Ginnifer Goodwin posits. Jennifer Morrison concurs with her TV mom and longtime friend, adding: “It’s supernatural in a different, adult way.”

As ABC’s third-year drama entered its long winter break, the vanquishing of Peter Pan and his curse upon Storybrooke came with a price: Rumplestiltskin seemingly perished, while everyone else — save for Emma and Henry, now sapped of their Storybrooke memories and living in New York City — was transported back to the Enchanted Forest. The fracturing of families (Emma torn from the parents she never knew, Regina sacrificing a future with her son) would seem indefinite, so all parties must for the time being get on with their lives, as somewhat false as they may be.

HOME AGAIN | Upon being returned to Fairytale Land, “Everyone has a different agenda,” says Lana Parrilla. The Charmings, for example, think it prudent to make camp somewhere, even if it means crashing at the Evil Queen’s castle. “Do we rebuild? How do we rebuild? What’s the state of Fairytale Land? Those are the questions,” says Josh Dallas. “It’s a very different place compared to 28 years ago, so there’s a lot to be done. But of course, some things are going to get in the way of that.”

But not everyone is content to play house. Captain Hook’s priority is a very pirate-like one, while Neal is resolved to not just confirm his father’s fate (for better or for worse) but also to reunite with Emma. Alas on that second front, he gets little back-up from his true love’s folks. “Because Mary Margaret and David never could be the parents they wanted to be for Emma, it was their chance at the end of the [midseason] finale to let her go and be happy,” Dallas explains. “So when they see that Neal is determined to find her, they try to say, ‘Look, this is where we live now and that‘s where she and Henry are. We have to let them go.’” Luckily, the erstwhile Baelfire finds at least one ally. “Most of us stick together,” Goodwin reports, “but Belle does go on an adventure with Neal.”

And then there’s Regina, who having sacrificed a future with Henry “is not the same Evil Queen that we once knew,” Parrilla acknowledges. “She made a very brave choice, for the betterment of her son, and for Emma, knowing that the consequences were probably not going to be positive. So when we see her again, she’s a different woman.” The discovery of a new foe, however, could raise the cackler’s hackles. “The second part of this season is pretty much about building up the Wicked Witch (Lost‘s Rebecca Mader) versus the Evil Queen,” Parrilla affirms. (And just what differentiates Evil from Wicked? “The Evil Queen’s main focus was revenge — she wanted to hurt others because of what they did to her — while the Wicked Witch is about envy, wanting things that she never had,” Parrilla explains.)

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES…? | Things are a bit less wicked in New York City, where for a year now Emma has “been very content. She has a real life for the first time ever,” Morrison reports. Embedded with a tweaked memory in which she never gave Henry up for adoption (yet still feels betrayed by baby daddy Neal), “She has memories of raising her child, feeling like she made the right choice and was there for him.” What’s more, Emma’s dating a great guy named Walsh (played by Covert Affairs‘ Christopher Gorham). And while the bail bondswoman will always guard her own heart — a lasting after-effect of her upbringing as an orphan, Morrison notes — “She’s definitely interested in the idea of Henry having a father.”

As such, one can’t blame the blonde beauty for casting a very wary eye on the guylinered, leather-clad gent who in the winter finale stormed into her life trying to convince her that she’s living an idyllic lie — and tried to smooch her, to boot. “It’s just weird enough that he shows up at my door dressed as Captain Hook. That alone would be enough to raise some concern,” Morrison notes with a laugh. (So, why didn’t NYC-savvy Neal, the other fella from Emma’s past, make this bold trek instead? “The answer to that is a little complicated…,” Colin O’Donoghue teases, “so the task fell upon Hook.”)

What will it take to for the semi-good captain to make Emma remember her past? In short, “A lot of persistence,” Morrison answers. Adds O’Donoghue: “Hook thought that true love’s kiss might work.” But since it didn’t, “He has to figure out another way to jog her memory. Because his whole purpose is to get her to come back to Storybrooke to help save her family.”

Wait — come back to Storybrooke? Didn’t the town blink out of existence when Regina stopped Pan’s curse?

THE YEAR OF LIVING MYSTERIOUSLY | This is where the “whodunnit” comes into play, because the Charmings, Regina and others have somehow been deposited back in the sleepy Maine burg, this time aware of their fantastical identities yet conspicuously wiped of their memory of the past year spent in FTL. As such, they can only wonder: Why? And to what end? “It’s almost like there hasn’t been time for us to be terrified about what happened, because we’re still ‘on the first page,’ gathering everyone,” says Goodwin. “There’s not enough puzzle pieces at this point to even begin to figure it out.” Adds the actress’ TV/real-life love Dallas: “There are a lot of questions.”

Maybe the “new” gal in town, Zelena, can conjure up a clue? Or… maybe not. Because part and parcel with everyone’s bout of selective amnesia, the genial ginger’s true identity — as the Wicked Witch — is a well-kept secret. “All we know is that she’s something of a kindred spirit to Snow White, and she seems so genuinely kind, which I think is really the core of what makes her so wicked,” Goodwin remarks. “She’s just so damn likable! Rebecca called her ‘Mary Poppins.’”

Again plucked from their enchanted home, and unwittingly held prisoner by an unknown entity who’s quite possibly milling among them? It sounds like Fairytale Land’s finest might need their Savior again, and soon, to help lead a campaign to unravel this twisted reality.

“Just as in the [Neverland] part of the season, we see characters that normally wouldn’t work together do just that, for the greater good,” Parrilla previews. “The characters are constantly surprising one another, and I think that’s pretty magical.”

**•Lana Talks- "Wicked Witch's Enigma & Regina/Robin Romance"•**

Sunday's episode, titled "New York City Serenade," picks up moments after and also marks the debut of a witchy villainess: The Wicked Witch (real name: Zelena, played by Rebecca Mader). As executive producer Adam Horowitz hinted to reporters in February, "the vengeance that she wants to enact is exactly what we're going to get into in the next episodes," while fellow EP Edward Kitsis called the Wicked Witch's issue with Regina "a global problem and an internal problem."
STORY: 'Once Upon a Time' Bosses on Glinda's New Spin, Hook's New Foe and Intro to Oz
"This Wicked Witch is an enigma. We don't know who she is, why she's there, what she wants. We know that she's connected to someone but we don't know who that is -- and she really is an unknown," Lana Parrilla tells The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the March 9 hour. The Wicked versus Evil battle will be an interesting showdown to watch as Parrilla tells it: "They're both powerful women and they both possess magic and they're both masterful at it."
When Once Upon a Time returns, Regina isn't running on all cylinders, due in part to her loss of Henry. "She comes back to Fairy Tale Land with a broken heart," Parrilla says. "Their land is different -- it feels different for them. Regina is a very different Evil Queen."
But how different is the Evil Queen? Parrilla insists that that the shift follows one's natural trajectory in life. "If you go through experiences, you learn the lessons -- you're a different person. She's involved, she's matured. Her goal for so long was to kill Snow White and she tried very hard to do that for a very long [time]. [But] they've had to work as a family," Parrilla says. "She can't go back to who she once was."
With a one-year gap between the breaking of the curse and Manhattan, the events that took place during that time -- a lot of which even the fairy tale characters are unaware of -- will be divulged in the second half of the run. Though, as Horowitz and Kitsis alluded earlier this year, viewers should be patient.
STORY: 'Once Upon a Time' EPs on Emma's Brief Bliss, Looming Danger and 'Wicked' Villain
"We're in present time with no memories all of a sudden," Parrilla says. "We don't know what happened in the last year. There's a lot that has happened in the last year that is still being discovered for all of us -- even for me as an actor." One mystery that is addressed is Ginnifer Goodwin's real-life pregnancy. "It's funny, you flash forward into Storybrooke and end up pregnant but [Snow and Charming] don't remember how they're pregnant," Parrilla says with a laugh.
Though it's been alluded to that Robin Hood may be Regina's one true love, their journey to get to that place of romance will be a long and bumpy one. "Initially Regina is very opposed to letting anyone else in her head. It seems when she does that, they take it away form her," Parrilla says. "I don't know if she necessarily trusts any longer, doesn't really know how to be happy. However, Robin Hood is not Regina. He does fancy her and there's a spark between them."
Parrilla likened their courtship to Romancing the Stone, Robert Zemeckis' 1984 action-adventure/romantic comedy with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. "They're working together, they're fighting together but it's just all that frustrated, built-up tension and sexual attraction that they don't know how to be adult about," she says. "It will evolve from there but that's all I can tell you for now."

**•OUAT Season 3B Spoilers•**

Belle and Robin Hood will have a heartwarming reunion in the midseason premiere after the hooded one saves the Evil Queen from an iconic creature. Regina then insults him saying he “smells like forest.” As for whether or not Belle will return to the Dark Castle, we’ll have to keep watching. We will get to meet Lumiere and see Belle develop as more a cerebral hero who turns to a book for an answer rather than a sword.

Regina will be struggling with her new life. She’s lost Henry and knows he remembers nothing of her, leaving her in a dark, desperate place. Her heartache is palpable but there will be several heartfelt scenes between her and her stepdaughter, Snow White.

Snow White will be expecting another child. This will come as a bit of a shock to Emma. Henry knows nothing of Neal because of his enchanted memories. All he knows is that Neal left Emma to take the rap for his robbery deal and go to jail in his place.

As for how much of Oz we’ll see and which characters, showrunner Edward Kitsis says "We will definitely see some iconic friends from Oz and their relationships are actually going to be explored in a couple episodes." We also have it on good authority that we will travel the Yellowbrick Road and visit the Emerald City. There will be a stop at Glinda’s palace and a look at one of the Wizard’s most deceptive rooms.

There will be more of Henry and Hook together as their relationship develops, including a humorous exchange in the midseason premiere between the two. Henry will not be getting his memories back anytime soon and this leaves Regina devastated. Though she struggles with sleepless nights and lots of tears, she is grateful he also doesn’t remember all the bad things about her either.

Aurora and Prince Phillip will be back and Aurora is glowing with her pregnancy. Things will take on a somewhat darker tone when we learn the couple is keeping a dangerous secret from everyone else.

What happened to Rumplestiltskin? He will only be mentioned briefly in the premiere episode but we’re told episode 13 will focus on the Dark One. We’re told not to underestimate the tricks Rumplestiltskin is capable of. When it comes to his romance with Belle, all we can say is true love always wins, even after death. Always.

**•Lana On Zelena, Romance For Regina & Character Development•**

Don't worry, Evil Regals -- even though the back half of "Once Upon a Time's" Season 3 is going to focus on the introduction of the Wicked Witch as the big bad villain, Regina/The Evil Queen isn't going to lose any of her evil spunk. Actually quite the contrary, Lana Parrilla promises with a laugh.

"Regina still has some secrets up her sleeve," Parrilla teases to Zap2it. "We definitely will still see some evil this season. It's just with different people. The evil queen isn't dead. She's just evolved."

So what's the difference between the green witch and our favorite Fairytale witch? "The Wicked Witch is a fun, delicious character who is out to hurt more than one person, and she is different than Regina in many ways," Parrilla reveals. "First and foremost, they are fighting for different reasons. Regina was always out for revenge and Zelena/the Wicked Witch, it's not about revenge for her. It's about ... other things."

When pushed for details, Parrilla just laughed more. "I can't quite tell you without spoiling it," Parrilla says. "She is just pissed off. She's angry. She wants what other people have. She's a very jealous woman."

And that jealousy will lead to a wicked vs. evil showdown, something Parrilla can't wait for "OUAT" fans to see play out. "Oh yeah. For sure. I think it's going to be really fun to see these two women battle," Parrilla says. "They're both fun, full, dynamic and layered characters with incredible costumes and powerful magic. As you will see, the battle is beginning. It kicks off this Sunday [March 9] and carries on throughout the season."

It's fantastic that "OUAT" Season 3 is switching the focus to the women of the story, as the first half of the season dealt with the men (Rumpelstiltskin, Baelfire and Peter Pan) and their family issues.

"It's really cool, actually. It's tapping into some really cool aspects," Parrilla says. "Zelena has a connection to a character and I think that's going to be very fun for many people to find out. The battles that take place are very crippling at times. People will get hurt, people will be wounded. I would say that it's going to be a delicious second half of the third season."

When asked how she would describe what fans can look forward to, Parrilla had more than a few juicy words to share. "There will be a lot of sexual tension, flirtation, power, magic, envy, jealousy, some revenge, love, family, and Mary Margaret's pregnant!" Parrilla reveals with a laugh. "As is Ginnifer Goodwin. So that's fun. It feels like we're having two babies on the show! It's been a really interesting second half of the season to film and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it plays out."

And now that Regina is back in Fairytale Land, is there any chance fate might come to pass with her and her soul mate that she's never met, Robin Hood? "This Sunday when you see our main characters back in Fairytale Land, Regina does cross paths with Robin Hood," Parrilla teases. "But she just can't even see that there are any sparks there, if there are any for her which I don't think there are. Not initially, at least. She is more consumed with the loss of her son and the pain that comes with that. She's in a mourning period."

She continues, "That love, if and when it ever plays out, it's not going to happen for a little while. You'll see their relationship slowly build. But it doesn't start off on a very loving level. There's a lot of tension between them. I like to think of them as eight-year-olds in third grade, pulling each other's hair when they someone, or punching a girl in the shoulder on the playground. That's their relationship at first! It's not immature, it just hasn't developed. That story line is going to evolve over time."

Speaking of her losing her son, expect to see a very touching scene in the midseason premiere between former rivals Regina and Snow White, as the princess helps the queen with her feelings of loss.

"You're going to see her continue to grieve. As we've learned, she doesn't let go very easily," Parrilla says with a laugh. "She holds on to these emotions and feelings and losses. I mean, look how long it took her to get over Daniel. Over 28 years! The loss of Henry is not going to be an easy one for her. She'll be in this space for quite some time."

In addition to letting Snow help her grieve, Parrilla reveals that Regina will also open up to another character. "She ends up confiding in and connecting to one character, and this person enlightens her and helps her see things differently and to see the world from a more positive position as opposed to this, 'All is doomed and my life is worth nothing now,' which is where she is in the first episode back," Parrilla says. "She has given up and she's lost all hope."

She continues, "She hasn't had the easiest life. She's lost a lot. Some of it hasn't been her fault and some of it is. But she is getting closer and closer to becoming a full, well-rounded human being. And she can't do that alone. She definitely needs guidance and there's a character that helps her achieve that and get to that place."

**•OUAT Season 3B- “Outlaw Queen, A New Big Sister, An Unlikely Alliance & More!”•**

*Evil vs Wicked*
•According to Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin (watch video below), the Wicked Witch has taken over the Enchanted Forest and is now living in Snow White’s castle. For a yet unknown reason she then decides to enact a curse on the entire Kingdom, resulting in their return to Storybrooke without any memories of what happened during the past year. What sets this new villain apart is that she purely drives on revenge. She feels like she has nothing to lose and everything to gain, which makes her very dangerous indeed!

•Her main rival is Regina (Lana Parrilla), and although the witch clearly has a ‘revengenda’ against the ‘Evil Queen’, Goodwin also mentions that she gets under the skin of every Storybrooke character. None of them feel safe from ‘Zelena’s’ wickedness, and what’s more is that the viewers will be able to sympathize with the witch in such a way that we’ll be rooting for ‘wicked’ to win.
Talking to TV Guide, Adam Horowitz said: “We’ll actually learn more about Zelena in a flashback story featured in Episode 16, fittingly titled “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”
Eddy Kitsis said: “When we learn more about the Wicked Witch… we’ll understand what she has against Regina is a global problem and an internal problem. Those two are definitely going to get into it.”
In episode 18 “Bleeding Through” we’ll also get to see the origin story behind young Cora (Rose McGowan) and Snow White’s parents. With everyone being related to everyone, there’s a good chance we’ll find out in this episode if Zelena has her own place in the complex OUAT family tree.

*Emma Swan’s return*
•In “New York City Serenade” there’s a certain pirate – ‘dashing rapscallion’, who’s determined to help Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and her son Henry (Jared Gilmore) regain their memories and bring them back to Storybrooke. At the end of “Going Home”, Regina gave Emma and Henry new ‘good’ memories which made them believe that they’ve never been apart. According to Emma she raised Henry as a single mother, and never told Neal (Michael Raymond-James) that he has a son. The two of them moved to New York a year ago after their apartment in Boston burned down, and are now living a happy normal life. Emma even finds herself on the verge of becoming engaged to the new man in her life named Walsh (Christopher Gorham), when Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) meets up with her after recovering from their earlier encounter, when his attempt at True Love’s Kiss resulted in a firm knee-kick in the groin.
It’s definitely not going to be easy to convince Emma of the truth that she’s the daughter of fairy tale characters, especially when this time round Henry won’t be able to help out. Emma wanted a break from being the Savior, and for the past year she actually got her wish. However now that her family and friends are in grave danger, it’s time for the Savior to return.

•Emma might regain her memories sooner rather than later, but the same cannot be said for Henry. Morrison said that Emma wants to protect her son and would like him to keep those ‘good memories’ of his happy normal childhood. So when Henry eventually returns to Storybrooke, he has no knowledge of ever meeting anyone, let alone know who they really are.

*Regina & Outlaw Queen*
•The fact that Henry doesn’t remember her at all, is heartbreaking. Parrilla said ”She has a lot of sleepless nights, and there’s a lot of tears that come with that. She’s heartbroken, she’s really heartbroken, but she’s very respectful when it comes to seeing Henry and not pushing it to get him to remember who she is."

•Regina and Emma worked really well together in Neverland, and as Emma continues to explore her magical abilities the duo may become quite a force to be reckoned with, as they team up against the Wicked Witch.

•The flashbacks this season will tell the story of how our heroes spent the past year in the Enchanted Forest. One of those stories will include Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and how he managed to capture the Evil Queen’s heart. In the midseason premiere, he rescues Regina from one of those terrifying ‘Flying Monkeys’, but she’s isn’t exactly filled with gratitude as she makes the sassy remark that ‘he smells of forest‘. It might take quite a long time for Regina to open up her heart.
Lana Parrilla said: “They’re working together, they’re fighting together but it’s just all that frustrated, built-up tension and sexual attraction that they don’t know how to be adult about. It will evolve from there but that’s all I can tell you for now.”
Talking to TV Fanatic, Sean Maguire tells a little bit more about his character Robin Hood and what his feelings are for Regina.

*Bromances and Romances*

‘Outlaw Queen’ isn’t the only romance happening on the show this season, as less we forget we do have an actual wedding to look forward to in the season finale!
Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) may have a difficult road ahead, but Belle isn’t about to lose hope. It’s still a mystery what happened to Rumple after he killed his father Pan. Did he travel to Oz? Has he lost his magic? Does the Wicked Witch manipulate his every move? One thing is for sure, he’s still alive which is something Belle is certain of as well as she convinces Neal that they’ve to try and find him. In “Quiet Minds” episode 15 ,their search could lead them to the Dark Castle where they encounter everyone’s favourite candlestick from Beauty and the Beast, ‘Lumiere’ played by Henri Lubatti, who may provide some more information.

•Snow and Charming are expecting their second child together, and Josh Dallas has hinted on ‘The View” that it could get interesting once we find out who that child will be. Especially when earlier on Horowitz and Kitsis mentioned that their child will somehow be linked to the one Aurora (Sarah Bolger) and Prince Philip (Jullian Morris) are expecting. Is there some dark prophecy at play? While they await the birth of their second child, their reunion with Emma is something to look forward to. Returning from Neverland, they finally sorted out a working family dynamic so it will be interesting to see how their relationship will evolve now that Emma is about to become a big sister!

•When Neal and Hook arrive in the Enchanted Forest they both want to be reunited with Emma as soon as possible. Neal is desperate to find a way back to his family, but it’s the pirate who comes to New York – the likely reason being that Emma only remembers Neal as the guy who abandoned her to take the fall over the stolen watches. Hook still hopes that he may have a future with Emma, after she finally accepted his love for her in “Going Home”, yet time will tell if they can make a go of it once they return to Storybrooke. How will Emma react when she sees Neal again? Morrison said on GMA that Emma’s feelings are still torn between both men, as they are both wonderful guys in their own way. There’s a lot of mutual respect and love between the three of them, which will make any decision on who she chooses very hard.
Talking to TV Fanatic, Jennifer Morrison makes it clear that whatever happens Neal will always have a place in Emma’s heart as he’s the father of her child. With Colin O’Donoghue admitting at the end of the interview that Hook ”Yeah…he likes her“. One can almost hear the sound of ‘canon’ in the background, which will surely delight all the Captain Swan shippers.

•However you can’t but sympathize with Neal, as not only is he in search of his father, his own son Henry doesn’t remember any of their past interactions and conversations since they first met in “Manhattan”. Henry is quite intrigued by the leather-clad pirate who came to New York in search for his mother and him, which might explain why Henry begins to spend more time with Hook this season. According to Eddy Kitsis: “They are quite a team together, those two. I think we’ll definitely see more of Hook interacting with Henry.” Watch out for episodes 16 and 17 as Henry might just end up taking a trip on the Jolly Roger.
If Emma chooses to give Hook a chance, the pirate may want to watch out for his ‘mate’, as Charming will be ready to take on anyone who hurts his little girl. The GMA interview being a perfect example, as Josh Dallas showcased his protective ‘Daddy Charming’ mode, much to Morrison’s amusement.
The Wonderful World of Oz

•Though we might not be spending as much time in Oz as we did exploring Neverland, Horowitz and Kitsis do promise that we’ll get to see the Emerald City, The Yellow Brick Road, the good witch Glinda’s (Sunny Mabrey) palace and those iconic silver slippers. Eddy Kitsis also said: “We will definitely see some iconic friends from Oz and their relationships are actually going to be explored in a couple episodes.” The Wizard of Oz is on top of the list, as there are theories that Rumple could actually be the Wizard. As for ‘Dorothy’ we have an inkling that this could well be Emma, as ‘the Lost Girl’ comes to realise at the end of the season what ‘home’ actually means.

**•Lana Talks About An “Evolving Regina” In Season 3B•**

The show left off on a huge cliffhanger last winter. Where do we pick up this week?
First of all, there's a recap hour that "Downton Abbey's" Dan Stevens is narrating. That's going to remind everyone of what happened in the first part of the season and also bring our new viewers up to date. Where we end up is back in Fairy Tale Land, in the same costumes that we were all in right before Regina cast that first curse. But we go back to a very different Fairy Tale Land. It's been over 28 years — it's overgrown, it doesn't look the same, it's not as bright and vibrant as it once was.

We're also dealing with characters that are feeling displaced. Some are really happy to be back, some aren't — I can tell you Regina isn't. She is not happy to be back. But she made the heroic choice by letting go of her son and Emma and sending them off to remain in our world with lost memories.

•That choice cemented Regina's redemption. How does she fit into Fairy Tale Land now?
“She is having a very difficult time. Before, part of what we loved about her was her destruction. That was her role in that world. She loved to create havoc, to destroy people, to take away their happiness, to turn them into whatever — snails or monsters or flowers. Rumple and the Queen were both notorious for doing stuff like that.

But she has come so far ... I just don't think Regina can go back to being the Evil Queen, and that's quite refreshing. From a soulful, character standpoint, for her to go back to who she once was would just be a disservice to the character.”

•What's her interaction like with Rebecca Mader's Wicked Witch?
“Regina doesn't really understand why this witch has come to town. She doesn't feel threatened by her; she just doesn't know what she wants or why she's there. I know why, but you'll have to tune in and watch. Initially what we see in this first episode, in "New York Serenade" is that Regina doesn't know why she's there.”

•In one of the flashbacks earlier in the season, we found out that Robin Hood is Regina's true love. Do we see them cross paths?
“You do see them cross paths, but it's not love at first sight. That's partially because Regina just isn't open to that. She doesn't see what's standing right in front of her. But then again, she's consumed with the loss of her son and her heart is broken. It's the last thing she needs right now — a relationship. She doesn't even see it. Robin Hood fancies her — even though she's this Evil Queen. I think he sees the goodness in her heart, but Regina's just not ready for that next step.”

•She hasn't really been involved in romantic relationships, aside from the dalliance with the Sheriff.
“He was a boy toy. That's kind of how we described him. "Take him to my bed chamber!" For me, it was that line that said it all.”

•Are you excited to explore this new side to Regina?
“Oh, yes! I think it's a very beautiful, soft human side that we'll see in her. I'm excited to explore. I want to. Change is nice, and exploring the different sides to the character is fun for me. And she's growing, and I think that's really fun to play. This woman is evolving right before our eyes.”

Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was during the past year, Regina, with the aid of Robin Hood, attempts to break into her castle, which has been overtaken by the Wicked Witch, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, MARCH 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

**•Lana & Rebecca Talk About Their Characters In Season 3B•**

TV Fanatic: What does having Zelena’s presence initially mean for Regina?

Lana Parrilla: It motivates Regina. It gives her something else to live for. Because when she goes back to Fairy Tale Land after she breaks the curse or enacts a different curse, she returns heartbroken. She's had to let Henry go, and she did so for the betterment of Emma and Henry's life together.

TVF: Surely Zelena taking Regina’s castle is not going to make these two friends.

LP: What people don't know is why Regina's really going into the castle and that's something that you have to see. Tune in and watch, because it's not for the reasons that we all think. She has a secret up her sleeve and once we get inside, we see what she's up to. She takes one companion with her, and it's not by choice. It's kind of forced upon her. And you'll see who that companion is.

TVF: It’s obvious Robin Hood has caught Regina’s eye. What’s going to develop between the two of them?

LP: Well, what's interesting is that there's two relationships going on with Robin Hood. There's the Evil Queen's relationship with Robin Hood, and then there's Regina's relationship with Robin Hood, who's still named Robin Hood. Which is pretty cool, right?

The way I see it is that this woman in two different worlds is in two different places, fundamentally, in just how she sees life at this time. A year prior to her returning, she's at a completely different place. Like I said, her heart is really closed off to any love. She's really lost hope. And then, when she meets this wicked witch, it's like she has a new rivalry. She has something to live for. She has someone to destroy.

And so that kind of sets her off on this whole new journey, and it's really exciting to see what happens in Fairy Tale Land with the Queen.

TVF: What can we expect to see with Regina and Emma, moving forward?

LP: I think with Regina and Emma in Storybrooke, what we see is that she's come to peace with Emma being in Henry's life. She understands that Henry has two mothers, and she's okay with that. Emma is no longer a threat. A ‘threat’ as she always has been. They've grown closer, I guess, not so much as friends but they've learned how to work together for Henry. They learned how to get along for the sake of their child. So, like I said, they're not besties but they definitely both embody power and magic so they learn how to work together for the greater good.

And now let’s check in to get the inside scoop on Zelena…

TV Fanatic: Does Zelena only have revenge on her mind or is there more to her that we’ll find out?

Rebecca Mader: I think one thing that’s great about the show is that they write the villains in a way where you do feel for them. It’s not just a one note villain. They’ve shown things that happened in Rumple and Regina’s past, and even if they’re being ghastly in the present day in Storybrooke you know why, and we can all relate to bad behavioral that we’ve done coming out of past pain.

And they did promise me in the beginning that ‘we’ll show why you’ve become the way that you are. So you’re not just the token bitch on the show.’ And they have done that with my character, which makes it so much more interesting and less annoying that someone’s just out for revenge, you understand why, which makes it that much more interesting. Yes, she’s out for revenge, but all of the reasons why make it more colorful and more interesting.

TVF: Talk to me about the Zelena-Regina relationship.

RM: Well, it’s a new relationship. I mean they haven’t met before I appear. So it’s like discovering all of that too, and she’s tied in with the whole seeking revenge and things like that and the past hurts.

Well, Zelena obviously knows they’re sisters first. So this comes as a complete surprise to Regina, and that brings along loads of stuff for her for not knowing. But for me, she got the life that I was supposed to get and that’s where the pain comes from and all the hurt, and that’s what the vengeance and the revenge all stems from, because up until my arrival into their world, my life’s been pretty crap so Zelena feels incredibly wronged and is in a lot of pain and it’s a lot of projection.

TVF: Does Zelena have any regret about anything she’s doing at any time, or does that not even come into play because she knows what she wants and that’s what she’s getting?

RM: Well, there’s so many different phases of my life being shown. There are definitely past regrets, but it’s mostly coming from a place of hurt as opposed to regrets and mistakes that I’ve made personally. It’s more like other people have made mistakes and that has caused me pain.

TVF: How’s it been working with Lana?

RM: Wicked. Yeah, it’s been wicked. We get on really, really well. I just love working with good actors and I’ve had a lot of scenes with Lana and I think we have really good chemistry because we really get to go toe-to-toe.

There’s a conversation I had with Adam and Eddy before I even started and they were like, ‘Oh my God, wait until you see 313. She’s going to come at you’ and I thought I’m just going to let them finish. ‘She’s going to do this, and she’s going to do that,’ and I said, ‘Well, then she’d better be ready,’ and they’re like, ‘That’s why we f**king hired you! That’s why you’re the f**king Wicked Witch!’ I’m like, ‘Well, then she better buckle up for safety.’ So she and I, we’re both good, we’re both strong and it’s a real toe-to-toe, which is fun to work with a strong beautiful talented actress.

TVF: There are a lot of nice looking guys on the show. Does Zelena have her eyes set on any of them?

RM: Yeah, but I can’t say. She definitely has a heart and has feelings, and that’s what’s interesting and you will get to see that. That she isn’t just dead inside and got a black-green heart, you know what I mean? She definitely has feelings and I think at this point, in the present day, they’re pretty much probably shut off because she’s in so much pain, but you do see in the past that she has feelings for somebody else.

**•Lana Parrilla Season 3B Interview•**

Once Upon a Time took familial issues to a new level last week when it revealed that the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader), who has cursed the fairy-tale characters back to Storybrooke with no memory of the past year, is actually the older half-sister of Regina (Lana Parrilla). Nearly green with envy (ha!), Zelena is hellbent on making her little sister pay for getting the better life.

"I thought it was wild and unbelievable and there has to be some kind of twist behind this because it doesn't quite make sense," Parrilla tells TVGuide.com of her reaction to the big reveal. "The first time I read it, I was like, 'This can't be! I'm an only child!'"

She's not alone in feeling that way. Many fans quickly jumped online after Sunday's episode to declare that it was all an elaborate ruse. The supposed evidence is Zelena enlisting one of her flying monkeys to steal Regina's blood, which could be used to trick the blood locks used in Regina's castle in the Enchanted Forest and her office in Storybrooke. She'd only have to resort to that if she weren't blood-related, right? Parrilla debunks that theory.
"As we move forward, other things are discovered, and we learn that she actually is her half-sister," she says. "It's quite jarring for Regina. She feels completely betrayed yet again by her mother. She's not too happy about it."

Still, Zelena's threat has given Regina a renewed sense of purpose after she nearly put the sleeping curse on herself so she wouldn't have to face the pain of losing Henry (Jared Gilmore). "First of all, she really needs to find out if this woman who claims to be her sister is really her sister," Parrilla says. "When she gets her answer, there isn't much reasoning with Zelena. It results in multiple showdowns or what you could call catfights. There are a lot of fights that take place between them and a lot of learned history during those fights; stuff that is being discovered that Regina didn't know that Zelena is telling her and stuff that Zelena doesn't know about her mother."

But Regina won't go it alone. She'll continue to work with the Charming family since they've come to somewhat trust each other after their adventure in Neverland. "Regina feels pretty comfortable working with them," she says. "She is a changed woman. She's come to a different plateau in her life, and a lot of that has to do with Henry and taking responsibility for things, consciously wanting to change and putting in the effort of making that a reality for her. She's the anti-hero, in a weird way."

It's this continuing transformation that actually gives Regina a leg up in this war against the Wicked Witch. "Regina looks at Zelena and sees a lot of herself in her," Parrilla says. "The way Regina views Zelena is somewhat like, 'Been there, done that. I used to be you.' There are even things Zelena says to her and Regina's like, 'I think I've heard that before. Oh wait, I've said that.' It's almost like a role reversal."
"Even though Zelena is the older sister, she doesn't necessarily behave as one," Parrilla continues. "She has a younger sister quality. Regina's like, 'Oh wow, there's so much you don't know. I used to be as angry as you and want to do the things you're doing.' It gives Regina the upper hand because she has this intelligence. She's smarter than Zelena."

As for whether this makes Regina the Wicked Witch of the East, Parrilla played very coy about the Evil Queen's connection to Oz. "There's an interesting twist that's coming up," she says. "I wouldn't rule out that possibility."

Back in Storybrooke, however, the fight against Zelena is much more difficult. With no memories, Regina has now teamed up with former foe Emma (Jennifer Morrison) to figure out who placed the new curse on our merry band of characters. What would've been an unlikely alliance back in Season 1 has now become the town's best hope for survival. "The combination of Emma's power as the savior and Regina as this sorceress, working together is a very powerful tool," Parrilla says.

But there are road blocks in the way, the most heartbreaking of which is Henry, who has no memory that he grew up in Regina's care. "She gets a second chance with Henry," Parrilla says. "He doesn't know who she is, but that's OK. She looks at is as, 'Wow, that means he's forgotten everything about me, including that I'm the Evil Queen and have murdered hundreds of people!' Henry and Regina get together and spend an afternoon getting to know one another. It's really sweet. Of course, Regina wants to put her arm around him, kiss him and do all the motherly things she's always done to him, but she can't. It forces her to have a friendship with Henry. She has to dig within herself to be this kid's friend and get to know him without the pressures of being a mother."
Of course, being back in Storybrooke won't be all sunshine and rainbows since Zelena has a wild card up her sleeve. Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), the former mentor to both of Cora's daughters, is alive and being held captive by the Wicked Witch. But, as we saw in the closing moments of Sunday's episode, this Rumple is much different from the one we remember. "He's a bit off," she says. "There's something not quite right with him."

"Regardless of how many times we've seen Rumplestiltskin and the Evil Queen try to kill each other, there's an underlying love and connection between them," Parrilla says, likening the relationship to that between Regina and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin). "She can't hate Snow and she can't hate Rumple. They've all gotten so close, it's a dysfunctional family. No one really wanted him to die and now we see that he didn't. Learning that he's alive is a good thing all around because we need him on so many levels."

**•OUAT Season 3B-"Treacherous, Terrifying Flying Monkeys!"•**

#They are Scary to Look At:

Once Upon a Time has moved the flying monkey concept to a new level. In The Wizard of Oz, they are more like cute chimpanzees with wings. The Storybooke variety is much more scary having no cute features, a triangular devilish face, and evil eyes that follow the victim's every move. The Storybrooke monkey cannot be considered cute no matter how many Regina turns into stuffed animals. The flying monkey appearance is the first trigger for folks to beware. Much like the ever popular vampire, they give viewers the sense of dread in their animal form.

#You Can't Trust Any New Characters:

The original Oz flying monkeys are just that--a monkey with wings. They do not have the ability to change appearance. On Once Upon a Time, they now can be human. Their appearance helps them do the Wicked Witch's bidding.

Let's look at Walsh. Walsh is a man who has every characteristic that Emma wants in a companion. Who wouldn't love a man who is a hunk, gallant, charming, likes her son, and wants to be there for you? Under all this though lies a heart of pure evil with a mission from the Witch. In this case it is to keep Emma from remembering the past. And much like the popular vampire, Walsh weaves his spell. He was a little too good to be true for viewers to accept.

That may be why the unique twist that the executives of Once Upon a Time use with Walsh works so well. When Walsh realizes that Emma remembers, he attacks in his human form. When the fight sends him over the balcony, he turns into the flying monkey. He wants blood-- Emma's blood--to prevent her from saving Storybrooke. Razor sharp teeth make for a good weapon.

We see the extent of the viciousness of the flying monkey attack in "Witch Hunt" when it slashes its victim's neck. Like the vampire in our present lore, or even a werewolf, the monkey turns its victim into a creature that serves the Wicked Witch. This new element will cause the heroes of Storybrooke to be on their guard. We know that Walsh can pass for human. How many others are "flying monkeys" who seem to be normal people?

#You Can't Trust Your Favorite Characters:

Using the twist, these storytellers are developing a more dark and grim version of the Oz characters that caused fear for some of us in our youth. No longer appearing as a simple chimpanzee with wings, Storybrooke's version appears evil, draws blood and kills. Their duties have changed from merely bearing messages to actually killing. The changes have taken the flying monkeys of the past to a new level which invoke more (and darker) fears from the original.

By Once Upon a Time reinventing the creatures and giving them the ability to become human, we are left guessing the true identity of our favorite townspeople. Can you trust your favorite character to be who you remember? We haven't seen Red all year and now she's back? Could she be worse than a wolf? This new development will lead to many discussions as the season progresses.

So just what role will the flying monkeys have on the people of Storybrooke? Their appearance, while evil, means that their mission has a purpose and the Wicked Witch wants something. The problem is that the people of Storybrooke have no clue (and neither do we) what is up.

Their appearance puts the townspeople (and viewers) on the edge of their seat as we wonder what will come next. When they appear in human form will they remember any of their pre-monkey friendships and ties? When they become monkeys, do they lose the capacity to care and love? Robin Hood has lost his most loyal friend and follower to the Wicked Witch. Little John, when he appears as human, can he be trusted? And what about people while they were in the Enchanted Forest? Were any of them "turned" before they returned to Storybrooke? If so, what secrets are they hiding.

**•More Magic Lessons For Emma Via Regina?•**

Emma (Jennifer Morrison) could be getting some more magic lessons from Regina (Lana Parrilla) on an upcoming season 3 episode of Once Upon A Time.

As Emma finds herself getting sucked back into the world of fairy tales, she might be receiving more lessons on how to protect herself through use of magic. TVLine recently spoke with Morrison about a fan question regarding potential magic lessons in Emma's future, and the actress was hopeful in her response.

"That is definitely something that comes up," Morrison says in the report, describing the Emma/Regina scenes as "fun" and "interesting." She also makes note of the fact that Emma was hesitant to learn magic in Neverland, which results in some "banter back and forth" between the two women.

However, with Emma's life taking a turn for the dangerous, she might find be more willing to accept lessons. As the report notes, The Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) is out there and Emma's son Henry (Jared Gilmore) is in limbo unable to recall memories.

"Emma has that extra motivation to reach into place in herself that she's not necessarily comfortable with," Morrison says.

**•Will Regina Find Love With Robin Hood?•**

The Evil Queen might actually find love again!
Ever since Once Upon a Time revealed that Regina's (Lana Parrilla) true love was a mystery man with a lion tattoo, fans have been desperate to actually see the former villain-turned-ally meet her destiny in Robin Hood (Sean Maguire). Unfortunately, their meet-cute in the Enchanted Forest wasn't quite what viewers were hoping for, but fear not. The duo will come together for the first time in Storybrooke this Sunday (8/7c, ABC) in a very different way.

"In fairy tale land, we saw that Regina is completely oblivious to Robin Hood," Parrilla tells TVGuide.com. "The thought of him possibly liking her would never cross her mind, nor is she open to that in fairy tale land at all. In Storybrooke, it's a different story. [The relationships are] nothing alike, which is cool because when we go back and forth, there's all this frustration and being odds with one another in fairy tale land, then you flash forward to Storybrooke and they're a little more open to it. It's a nice contrast. It was fun for me to play. Sean kept going, 'OK, so now we hate each other.' 'We hate each other in this world at this time, but in the future...'"

However, they're not quite ready to jump into a relationship. After all, there's a Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) terrorizing the town that needs to be dealt with. But there are also other factors standing in their way. "She's terrified," Parrilla explains. "She's afraid to open her heart and afraid to let love in. She hasn't done it in forever since Daniel [Noah Bean]. I think she's afraid to lose again — and I don't mean lose like she won't get the guy, but lose him. So many things have been taken away from her and there's been so much loss that she doesn't believe that it will sustain or that this love has the potential to be as deep and real as she dreamt of having for herself."

Still, there couldn't be a better time emotionally for Regina to finally let someone else in now that she's no longer the big bad in town. "There's so much that's really cool about Regina right now that I really love," Parrilla says. "She's come full circle. She's had a beautiful arc from where she used to be as this Evil Queen and going through that second year of redemption to this third year of becoming this hero. She's really come out on top. She's become this really full, well-rounded human being."

Do you hope Regina and Robin Hood get together?

He’s since taken the photo down, but we all know once a photo hits the internet it never goes away. So the answer to the questions of whether Regina Mills will let herself love again seems to be yes. We’ll have to watch and see when this develops. There’s no word on what episode this is from, but if it’s a recent photo it’s going to be a later episode. What do you think of this development?"

**•OUAT Burning Q&As' Round 12•**

Will Regina's (Lana Parrilla) sleeping curse that Zelena (Rebecca Mader) stole come back into play?
Adam Horowitz: No.
Edward Kitsis: That is too easy for Zelena.

Was Zelena calling Belle (Emilie de Ravin) Mrs. Gold a hint of who gets married in the finale?
Kitsis: She was just being wicked.
Horowitz: She was just pushing her buttons.
Kitsis: She was reveling in the fact that — and this weekend we'll give you more context — she had him in a cage and she was playing this double part.

Will Regina play a role in how Henry (Jared Gilmore) gets his memories back?
Horowitz: You're assuming he does get his memories back. But she will play a role in the attempt to get his memories back.

Neal mentioned the message that Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) got. Is there a chance he sent the message?
Kitsis: There's always a chance for everything on this show.

Will we see Lumiere (Henri Lubatti) again?
Kitsis: We thought he was a fun character and would be interested to see him again next year.

Did Zelena have to sacrifice the thing she loved most to cast this curse?
Horowitz: The casting of the curse follows the exact rules that we established.
Kitsis: You always have to give up the thing you love most.
Horowitz: How the curse was cast is something we will see.
Kitsis: We will not be changing the roles for curse-casting. Someone's heart was given up.

Will it take more than a bucket of water to kill the Wicked Witch?
Horowitz: Who says we're going to kill her?

Might we already know the Wizard?
Horowitz: We might.

Will we meet Zelena's father?
Kitsis: Absolutely. In fact, you will meet Zelena's father and find out the answer to who the Wizard is this weekend.

Speaking of fathers, might we meet Hook's father?
Horowitz: Not this year.

Will we ever find out what kingdom sent Hook and his brother Liam (Bernard Curry) in search of Dreamshade?
Kitsis: Probably not.

Is there a connection between Snow's (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Aurora's (Sarah Bolger) babies?
Horowitz: They're in the same Mommy and Me.

Can Snow's baby ever be safe with Zelena around?
Kitsis: I don't see how anyone is safe with Zelena around.

Will we see any flashbacks to Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry's time in NYC?
Kitsis: We will not see them again this year, but that is something that we could possibly explore next season.

By killing Neal (Michael Raymond-James), have you robbed Emma of a happy ending?
Kitsis: Yes, and she will be miserable from here on out. No! We haven't robbed anyone of anything. We've always said on this show that happy endings are something you have to work for. They don't come overnight.

Will we find out who the Black Fairy is?
Kitsis: Yeah, we'd love to show that someday.

Will the Knave (Michael Socha) rejoin Robin Hood's (Sean Maguire) merry men?
Horowitz: It's certainly possible.
Kitsis: Not this season.

Will we see other Wonderland characters come to Once?
Horowitz: It's possible. But as far as what we're planning right now, we're planning to have [just] the Knave.

Kitsis: We might see a few faces here and there at some point.
Horowitz: The story of Wonderland was always meant to be a one-year, close-ended tale. That tale is coming to a close and we're not going to be continuing those story strands on Once Upon a Time.

Is there a chance we could see a flash-forward on Once?
Horowitz: Probably not.
Kitsis: Never say never.

Will Season 4 have a new villain?
Kitsis: Of course.

Will every villain have a relation to Henry?
Horowitz: Not necessarily.

Will there be more deaths before the season ends?
Kitsis: Of course.

**•Rebecca Mader Talks About Her Character & The Big ‘Evil Vs. Wicked’ Showdown•**

"Once Upon a Time" fans aren't the only ones dying to see the big wicked vs. evil showdown in Sunday's (April 6) episode, "It's Not Easy Being Green." The Wicked Witch herself -- Rebecca Mader -- has been counting down the days until she could see how the big episode turned out.

"I can't wait to see it, I'm really excited," Mader tells Zap2it. "Sunday night can't come soon enough."

Mader has been having a blast playing the big bad villain, the Wicked Witch/Zelena, on the ABC drama so far. "It is so much fun. I just can't believe it," Mader says. "I've enjoyed playing this character so much because she is just so wicked. Sometimes I'll be doing a scene and I'll just be like, 'Gah. I'm awful! Oh god!' She is just so awful. And that's why she's so fun to play, because she's so incredibly different from who I am. It's always so fun to play someone really opposite to you."

When it came to portraying such an iconic character, Mader approached the role with a specific goal: To make Zelena a different kind of villain than Lana Parrilla's Regina. "I didn't want to just come in and just be like Regina. I needed to differentiate her," Mader says. "I use the word 'wicked' all the time and it's such a popular word in the U.K., and it can sometimes mean a little bit naughty and cheeky. So I've been using that English 'wicked' element with this character to make her more cheeky at the center of it all."

Mader had so much fun playing the Wicked Witch that it started to take on a life of its own. "It's funny because I didn't realize how giggly I'd been with it until I'm now watching it," she says with a laugh. "I'll do something dreadful and then laugh, and it's making me laugh because I didn't realize that I was even doing that. I'm just like, 'Oh god, I'm horrible!'"

Mader promises a "monumental" fight scene in Sunday's episode. "The big showdown was just a massive scene to shoot. It was a lot of work," she says. "We were outside in Storybrooke until about six o'clock in the morning -- it was a big, big, big, big night shoot. And it was physically grueling. We had all these stunt people there, it was freezing cold, but it was really fun. We put so much hard work into it, that I'm just really excited to watch it on Sunday night and see how it all turned out."

While Mader can't reveal who initiates the showdown, she does reveal that Zelena tells Regina about their familial connection again. "I'm telling her again in this episode because I know she doesn't remember it from when I told her a year ago," Mader says. "It's all a part of my plan and my endgame and my control. It's moving forward with my plan."

Another reason Mader is so excited to see the episode is the flashbacks to Oz. "I think it's going to be fun for the audience to go to Oz," she says. "People have been waiting for that since the Wicked Witch came on the show, so on Sunday night we'll finally get to see Oz. We'll see when I discover that I have this half-sister, and I want to leave Oz and go to Fairy Tale Land. It's this great backstory about who I was and where I was and why I've come to Fairy Tale Land and why I've come to Storybrooke. Plus we'll meet Dorothy and Glinda the Good Witch in the next couple of weeks."

Mader hopes that seeing Zelena's backstory will allow the audience to empathize with her. "I love that they've told my character's backstory. It's always fun seeing the villain's backstory," Mader says. "Like when we saw Rumpelstiltskin when he was nice, before he became the Dark One. You get this empathy for him, and there's nothing better than a villain that you can feel for, rooting for someone that's broken and damaged. I think people can relate to that because nobody is perfect.

"They've written the villains so well on this show with Regina and Rumpel, when you get to see why they've become the way that they are it's so interesting. So that's what I'm most excited for on Sunday night, for people to see why I've become green and why I've become wicked."

So what does Mader enjoy playing more, the Oz/Fairy Tale Land flashbacks or the Storybrooke present? "I've enjoyed both. But I have to say, I love the Wicked Witch stuff," Mader says with a laugh. "I do really enjoy being green. I really enjoy flying on my broomstick. But I do enjoy being the white version of me too, being in Storybrooke, especially when they don't know who I am and I'm walking around pretending to be this wonderful midwife and the audience is screaming, 'Run! No!' I think that's really, really fun having the audience in on who I am."

**•Emma & Regina Magic Lessons #2!•**

Once Upon a Time Season 3 may be pushing Regina (Lana Parrilla) toward Robin Hood and featuring a whole lot of Hook and Emma (Jennifer Morrison), but it also hasn't been lacking in material for those who prefer to see Emma and the formerly evil queen play off each other. And, good news: Emma and Regina have more scenes coming up!
Jennifer Morrison dished to TVLine that Emma and Regina have "fun" and "interesting" scenes coming up — and they have to do with magic!
Yep, it turns out the idea of Emma learning magic comes up again, which leads to some "banter" over Emma's "reluctance" to be magical. Emma and Regina bantering is always good TV, so we're definitely happy to hear this.
But just because Emma has resisted learning more about that part of herself in the past doesn't mean she's going to stay away forever. With everything that's going down in Storybrooke, not to mention the fact that Henry still doesn't have his memories, “Emma has that extra motivation to reach into place in herself that she’s not necessarily comfortable with.”

**•Spoilers & Teasrers For The Remainder Of Season 3•**

ABC’s Once Upon a Time very soon will shed some light on the casting of the curse that returned Regina, the Charmings et al to Storybrooke sans their memories of the past year, possibly noodle with a certain rugrat’s noggin and introduce as many as two more characters from the show’s riff on The Wizard of Oz.

In previewing Episode 19 — which airs next week, on April 27 — Josh Dallas revealed to reporters at WonderCon, “We’re going to go back and find out who cast this curse, so that’s going to be great. You’re going to know who cast the curse, you’re going to know why we’re all back and why none of us remember that missing that year.”

Also in that episode, Dallas previewed, “There’s going to be a decision made back in Fairy Tale Land, between Regina, Snow and Charming, that’s going to affect everyone.”

Is anyone else thinking what I’m thinking? That Zelena is not the one who uncorked this curse, that maybe Regina did it, in the name of a greater good?

Or, speaking of good, Rebecca Mader spoke at WonderCon of how in Episode 20, “We get to go back to Oz,” where we’ll meet the show’s take on two more characters from that tale — a historically kinder witch included. “Any minute now, Glinda (played by Sunny Mabrey) and Dorothy are coming, so that was really fun,” the British beauty teased. “It felt like Once Upon a Time in Oz.” So, maybe Glinda is named as the curse-caster at the close of Episode 19, her agenda detailed the week after…?

One of Season 3B’s other burning questions revolves around Henry’s muddled memories, which left him unaware of his Storybrooke life as he spent a year with birth mom Emma in New York City. Will he get back what he has lost, even though Emma believes the boy may be better off returning to his normal life in the Big Apple? “Henry’s memory issues will be decided before the end of the season,” series cocreator Adam Horowitz assured, “one way or another.” Another mystery to be solved is the Wicked Witch’s plan for Snow White’s baby. Mader was very mum on that topic, other than to warn of “some dark stuff coming.”

On the romantic (?) front, tonight’s episode, “Bleeding Through,” appears to feature a Storybrooke smooch between Rumple and his captor – as Mader shared, “When those pictures came out, everyone on Twitter was like, ‘No! What about Belle?’ And I’m like, ‘Oops!’ – as well as movement on the Regina/Robin Hood front, thanks to Snow White’s stalwart wingman efforts. “Snow may be responsible for taking away the love of Regina’s life,” series cocreator Eddy Kitsis noted, “but she’s responsible for pushing her toward a new one.”

Surveying the season’s final five episodes as a whole, Kitsis said, “From here on out, it is pretty much going to be a nonstop freight train of answers.” Added Horowitz, The Wicked Witch has some pretty devious plans, and they’re going to unfurl.” (With reporting by Scott Huver)
