​Niall Horan is already using his spare time to indulge in the second great love of his life (One Direction being eternal no.1, obv) because he\'s been spotted hanging out at the BBC Sports Personality Awards in Belfast celebrating everyone\'s achievements this year.

Obviously, we\'ll be the first to admit that we have something of a weakness for Niall\'s passion for sport considering we *did* once compile a retrospective master-post of all the times he ever watched it from the sidelines. LEAVE US ALONE, IT MADE US HAPPY.

Niall\'s appearance at the BBC\'s incredibly fancy \'do meant that we got loads of backstage pics, interviews, selfies and a video of him presenting an award onstage to be really quite happy about. Oh, and we also learnt that Niall has genuinely enormous hands. LOOK AT THEM:

Arriving at the event with Rory Mcllroy - yes, the man behind the #OhNoNiall vine, the pair hit the red carpet together and gave a couple of  interviews where Niall chatted about how he pleased he was to attend the awards:

Later on, he and Rebecca Adlington presented the Most Charitable Sportperson award onstage, which is where he also admitted to not being the best caddy in the world:

Niall later posted a picture of him and the winner of the award, Bailey Matthews, hanging out backstage, writing: "I had the honour of meeting this boy last night and presenting an award to him alongside Rebecca ... I\'ve never met anyone like him in my life . so courageous , brave, happy , funny and so much more . Was a pleasure mate , you should be very proud of yourself ."

All in all, it was a wonderful night, and we continue to be forever grateful for any event where Niall is required to wear a suit.
