HERE'S SOME RANDOM RUMOURS ABOUT NIALL HORAN'S PLANS FOR THE 1D HIATUS

With One Direction\'s long break just around the corner, it\'s time to start thinking about what the boys are going to do with all that free time. Harry to launch his own shoe line? Louis to finally become an X Factor judge? Liam to star in the next Batman movie?

All fairly likely possibilities, but it\'s Niall Horan\'s future causing the most random rumours, as pesky inside sources have been spilling the beans on his plans to try all sorts of new hobbies, including television presenting and errr… an Irish rock band. Lovely jubbly.

Niall\'s pal Eoghan McDermott, who presents The Voice Of Ireland, has been chatting to The Herald all about his main man from Mullingar, revealing that Nialler\'s got some big plans for the year ahead.

"Last time I checked he was in America and was having a grand time", Eoghan spilled. "He said he wants to get a place in Ireland next year. Not to necessarily spend all his time here, just to be in Ireland quite a bit."

And when it comes to taking a break from boyband life, it sounds like Niall could be about to brush up on his TV presenting skills. Ready for X Factor then yeah? Grand.

"He wants to do a bit of presenting, not in a mad capacity", Eoghan added. "I think he will be brilliant at it."

Well that sounds like a smashing idea, and probably slightly more likely than the predictions from an insider at Heat magazine, who reckons that Niall\'s gonna be donning a leather jacket, dark sunnies and a leprechaun hat to start his very own IRISH ROCK BAND.

"Niall\'s never really wanted to go solo, but he would like to try out a rockier sound", an insider claimed. "He\'s talking about starting a group with some of his mates in Ireland, starting off with little gigs around the country," their source said.

"They\'ve already worked on some songs together. He doesn\'t really care if it makes any money - he\'s able to bankroll it all and just enjoy it."

We still think he should be one of those people who dress as a sandwich and stand on the street to direct you to weird side street cafes. Seems like something he might quite enjoy.
