Hundreds of K-pop idols have released their best albums every year. Some of them even have released three to four Korean albums each year. From many released albums, music experts have selected their best albums from many K-pop idols.

Let’s have a look which artists whose albums have been selected by the music experts!

​’​HOT​’​ – Bigbang’s Taeyang This solo album that was released by Taeyang in 2008, had garnered many positive responses from netizens and music critics. With its lead track ‘Look at Only Me’, the album successfully won two awards from the ’6th Korean Music Awards’ for ‘Best R&B/Soul Song’ and ‘Best R&B/Soul Album’.

This makes Taeyang, the first idol to receive the awards.

f(x)’s second album was released in 2012, and had received compliments for its lead singles ‘Electric Shock’ and ‘Jet’. The songs have been deeply enjoyed by Korean music lovers, and nominated at the ’10th Annual Korean Music Awards’ (KMA) in 2013. It was unique because both songs were nominated for the same category, which was ‘Best Dance and Electronic Song’. In the end, ‘Electric Song’ won for that category.

“This is due to the corresponding songs having excellent music reviews and rather than disregarding them because they are from the same artist, we chose to recognize their excellence,” the event’s spokesperson said.

This is a repackaged album from SHINee’s albums that were released in 2013. The combination from albums ‘The Misconceptions of You’ and ‘The Misconceptions of Me’ was created with interesting visual pictures and album design.

Not just its visual album, the songs had also garnered many compliments. Billboard K-Town writer, Jeff Benjamin, complimented the album’s songs.

“The album is a triumph that never lacks in energy and balances, nods to 80s pop stars and forward-thinking pop,” he said.

2NE1′s debut album that was released in 2009 consists of seven songs were created and produced by senior musicians Teddy Park and Kush. With its two hit singles ‘Fire’ and ‘Lollipop’, the album sales skyrocketed with more than 80 thousand copies sold in two weeks after it was released. This was certainly an achievement, considering that they were a rookie group at that time.

Wonder Girls’ second album was released in 2011, and ranked fifth in the ‘Billboard World Album Chart’. With its lead single ‘Be My Baby’, the band successfully placed their name in Korean and American top charts.

With its upbeat and fun music, it is not surprising that the song was later used in one of American television shows, TeenNick’, which was broadcast in 2012.
