Police continue investigation into fatal car crash involving Ladies\' Code

Police are currently investigating the fatal car crash that resulted in the death of Ladies\' Code member EunB and severe injury of RiSe and Sojung as well as other passengers.

Yonhap News, police are looking into whether criminal charges will apply to the driver, 27-year-old Park. The police stated, "First, we\'re investigating whether the driver was speeding. However, the speed mark didn\'t show up due to the rain, and the location of the crash site does not have CCTV. As there were no passing vehicles at the time, we haven\'t been able to secure a black box."

Polaris officially stated, "Near Suwon around 1:30 AM, the car that Ladies\' Code had been riding in after finishing up their schedule in Daegu experienced a problem where the back wheel came off. With the back wheel coming off on the rainy road, the car ended up spinning several times before hitting the guard rail. Due to this, EunB tragically passed away."

Sojung is reported to have injured her arm and currently being prepared for surgery (thanks xXSquareHeadXx)

not too sure weather this was before or after she woke up.

You can secure a tire as much as you want, but if the axle is weakened and you add the heavy weight of 7+ people and you hit a bump, that tire is gonna come off.

Actually, wheels come off easier than you think. If the axle isn\'t calibrated right, it can definnately come off

Something is unusual about the wheel coming out. It just feels weird. Like someone may have tampered with it or sth

what i don\'t understand is how did the wheel come off? doesn\'t that mean that the car was faulty? even with heavy rain the wheel shouldn\'t just come off

How does a back wheel just suddenly "come off" on a car during traveling? That doesn\'t make any sense. Were the lug nuts not properly tightened? If the back wheel was loose, the car would\'ve been shaking violently and I\'m sure the driver would\'ve noticed and stopped the car. More likely, it think it was either a flat tire or the driver was speeding, leading to a loss of control of the vehicle.

The back wheel came off....  it has to be the cause... yet what could have happened for the back wheel to come off? Car wheels don\'t just come off. 

I will focus my attention towards Rise now. I am hoping for good news regarding her health.

to me its very suspicious without speeding.  I know they are saying the back tire came off but that is also very suspicious excuse.  You would think you could feel the car wobbling if the back tire was about to come off and if they weren\'t speeding you would think the car wreck would not be so bad.  I feel like there is someone not telling the full truth here.

anyways everyone speeds sometimes but it seems like idol managers do it more than a lot of people maybe because they\'re in a rush or just want to get home after all day of work/practice.

nope, sorry. can\'t have a lawsuit against the manufacturer. Since all vehicle require a safety check before producing it. If it pass safety. Its legal on the street. And if they find out there is still problem after is on the market, They\'ll just recall the vehicle back to the company and fix it.

@howareyouhere yet, if there was an error that didn\'t get noticed during the testing, they could be in for a lawsuit. It\'s still a wonder how the back wheel came off though. I\'ve never heard of that happening before.

@meggan maybe, but i doubt there will be a lawsuit vs. Hyundai. Even there is. They\'ll just cover it with $. The news did say the wheel came off, but we don\'t know when it came off. It could had came off after the slip on the road or hit the rail than came off , or even before anything. We\'ll just have to wait for the black box if there is anything.

If the back wheel came off, wouldn\'t that have been cause? Not all accidents need someone to blame.  Also, if rumors are true about them not wearing seat belts, then hopefully this will be a good reminder to everyone, idols and regular citizens alike of how important they are.  I can\'t imagine what the surviving members and staff are going through or their friends and family.
