Hannibal: Gillian Anderson to Become Regular for Season 3

Bryan Fuller - showrunner on the NBC series - revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Anderson\'s new deal is still being worked out.

"We are right now negotiating her contract as a series regular - it\'s not closed yet," he explained. "But she\'s been so incredibly supportive of the show."

Anderson has previously recurred on the series as Bedelia Du Maurier, appearing in nine episodes.

Season two\'s finale concluded with Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) escaping justice and boarding a plane with Bedelia.

"The first episode [of the third season] is as if it were a new pilot for a series starring Gillian Anderson and Mads Mikkelsen," Fuller said.

"These characters are out in the world, living under aliases, so it\'s

will return to NBC in 2015. Sky Living will air season two\'s finale in the UK on Tuesday, July 29th at 10pm.
