With practically every Disney animation from our childhoods being reincarnated as a live-action movie, it’s inevitable Frozen is headed in the same direction.
Could this be Gladiator 2? Nick Cave commissioned by Russell Crowe to bring back Maximus
But Kristen Bell, who voiced Princess Anna in the 2013 film, has begged Disney not to touch the icy fantasy until at least 2023.
She wants a minimum of a decade’s gap between the original movie and a potential live-action version, although she admitted she’ll be ‘too old’ to play Anna if Disney does move ahead with a live movie.
Speaking to Press Association about a live-action Frozen, Kristen explained: ‘I think in maybe 10 or 15 years, when sadly we’re all too old to play the roles, that would be cool, much like they did with Beauty And The Beast.
‘Frozen 2 is going to come out in 2019 so it would have to be a bit of a wait.’

And the other thing? Kristen has already offered herself up to star in a live Frozen film, saying she could play a granny.
‘Then they could write the grandmother in and I could play the grandmother,’ she added. ‘Or I’ll play the Duke of Weselton or something.’
Funnily enough, we got a taste of what Princess Anna would look like as a grey-haired granny in the original movie. Perhaps they were teasing us all along?
Frozen tells the story of snow queen Elsa – voiced by Idina Menzel – and her sister Anna, after their parents die leaving them in charge of Arendelle.
It’s the highest grossing animation of all time, earning £1.05 billion at the box office, with a Frozen 2 confirmed to be on the cards back in 2015.
As well as Frozen 2, a Broadway musical of Frozen is also set to begin in spring 2018.
‘I know it’s being written right now and hopefully we should start recording soon, although I don’t know what soon means.
‘That’s just what I’m being told.’
In addition to Beauty And The Beast, other Disney classics which have undergone the live treatment in recent years include Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Alice In Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent.
Others in the works include Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan and Dumbo.
