Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs reveal how they plan on spending their Christmas Day off!

Christmas Day is upon us and British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and X Factor alumni Olly Murs have revealed what they plan on doing on the big day.

Both have had incredible years – though Ed Sheeran has probably had the biggest, especially with the release of his second album ‘X’ so his downtime is incredibly well deserved.

Ed Sheeran, speaking with Digital Spy has confessed that exchanging gifts with his parents isn’t something he really does – but instead counts himself being home as a gift to them.

“We haven’t done presents in a while. That’s the thing, we don’t [do presents]. It’s more… I mean, I do presents for my family – but I don’t necessarily get presents any more.” he revealed.

The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ performer went on to add: “It’s more just me being there, that’s my present. Like having time off.”

Ed, as always, keeping in touch with his fans across the world on Twitter, let them in on a little festive secret and revealed that he’s loving the food.

The singer confessed his love for crackers and tweeted: “I’m about that cheese and cracker life. Put a grape on it.”

Don’t forget, Ed Sheeran (among others) will be performing on Top of the Pops Christmas on BBC One from 2-3pm!

Olly Murs has revealed how he’s spending Christmas Day

For Olly Murs, he recently released a festive EP for free on Google Play and spoke with Digital Spy about his plans for Christmas Day and like many of us – it involves eating!

The ‘Troublemaker’ heartthrob confessed: “I normally wake up at half 11 with a bit of a hangover, a few drinks always on Christmas Eve.”

The hitmaker went on to add: “Then I get to have a bit of brunch, get all the presents open and the rest of the day kind of eating as much as I can, really!”
