Is going deeper in the books means good for DB?

yes!!! because in the books Damon and Bonnie have something special, although Elena is in the middle, but Damon likes Bonnie, he cares for her, and she likes him. (Elena and Stefan knows) Bonnie was the first to see humanity in Damon´s eyes, the first that Damon kissed in the book, the first that Damon huged, the first that wanted to trust in Damon. in one scene Damon saved her and was the first time in all the books that he didn´t think in Elena, he forgot Elena, because of Bonnie.
and she was the first to surprise him with a deep and unexpected kiss that made him blush.

i hope we can see this kiss in the show!

Yeah... But Ian confessed that Damon only show his humanity with Elena but i think that it's only because he want to deserve her but with Bonnie he show it without realized to. The "Thank you and I owe you" scene was OMG... Look, if you put it in mute, you really see a cute scene... and also the DAMON'S HUMANITY!!!
Anyway, Bamon in the books are really undescriptible and is obviously that in the TV SHOW, the producers take off the bamon kiss from the first book...
And Uluai (i think your name is Mel, sorry if it's not) i'm sooooooo agree with you...
We just have to wait a little time because i'm sure that when Bamon start we really going to say "The wait really worth it"
