"Hey Cortana", or just "Cortana" in latest versions of Windows, isn't really a voice command at all. It's just a hotword to wake her up, you know.

Even today, in 2022, Cortana Legacy on my Lumia phone can open any app or turn any of the basic phone features on and off, such as Bluetooth or flashlight, even when offline. She can play my own music too on my Lumia phone and all this by using my voice. This Cortana Legacy on Lumia still supports voice input and she would even respond with a voice reply to any of my voice commands. Like I said before, Cortana can still help me on my Lumia phone.

Cortana Legacy on my Lumia can also show me my reminders. All I gotta do is say it. Voice command "Show me my reminders" still works just fine even today, in 2022over a year ago
Cortana can still be useful, even today, in 2022, but only if you have Cortana on multiple devices and if you get all those previous versions first. I can talk to Cortana on version 2004, play my music with Cortana on Spotify on version 1909 and set reminders on version 1709. For setting up some smart home devices you're gonna need some other Cortana app, like a mobile app. You can even save your places with Cortana mobile app for Windows.

Not just for Windows, but also for Android. You can set reminders, or make phone calls and send texts and emails to your contacts on any Android device. Cortana can also play your emails and even send you a briefing email herself. You're gonna need both Outlook and Teams mobile app for that. So, you see, she can still be useful.over a year ago
I meant to say Cortana can help you make phone calls, send texts and emails and play your emails. My bad. I should be more careful in the future.over a year ago
On Windows 10 Mobile Cortana can even turn on quiet hours, send a reply to people not on your breakthrough list when you don't wanna be disturbed and a lot more, like giving you info, convert units and currencies, translate for you and so much more. I use Cortana all the time, on all of my devices.over a year ago
