As Emily went to a different 'realm' at the end of the film (without giving too much away here for anyone who hasn't seen it all the way through), such a pairing as you suggest just isn't possible after where the film ends. Besides, Bonejangles is definitely a fun guy, but he seems to be just too much of a 'rambling roamer', with his eye constantly roving towards whomever has, as he said, the most "meat on her bones," to settle down anyway. It would be nice to perhaps see a sequel on where Emily has gone, but things of light and air wouldn't be Tim Burton's style, and she seems to maybe have transcended the need for a conventional relationship.
i think she will be happy just being herself. if you look at it this way she died b/c she fell in love. i don't think she needs a man any more. she is fine on her own. just her and her after life friends to help keep her happy.
