Classic Disney
answer this question
Classic Disney Question
Why is hand-drawn animation and stop-motion animation dead?
How come people have lost interest in hand-drawn animation and stop-motion animation? John Lasseter has always said that Story is the most important part of a film; not its art form.
But everybody in America is too blind to see that. I also think it is stupid that people begged and begged for Disney to give them a hand-drawn animated movie and when Disney did, they blew Disney off! Instead of going to see the Princess and the Frog, they all went to see Avatar or worse, Alvin and the Chipmunks: the squekquel. Instead of going to see Winnie the Pooh, they all went to see Harry Potter or worse, the Smurfs.
What can we do to make hand-drawn animation and stop-motion animation really attractive?
