I like the couples with a bad boy in them better

BY FAR! Odette and Derek are a very well developed couple. Marina and Sinbad's came out of no where, one minute they hate each other than suddenly they're in love. Besides I don't think some one as AWFUL and ugly as Sinbad deserves someone as amazing and gorgeous as Marina.

^ I have to disagree with you. If any couple came out of nowhere, that was Odette and Derek. They hated each other for years, and all of a sudden they're in love. Marina and Sinbad had a lot of adventures, went through a lot together, and slowly fell in love.

Yeah I'm so sure and of course you have to disagree. Obviously you don't know kids. As kids they thought each other had cooties, as preteens Odette was dorky looking so Derek picked on her and Odette thought he was a jerk, as teenagers they acted like they couldn't stand each other but kind of flirted, and as mature grown ups they realize their love. This kind of thing happens all the time. With Marina and Sinbad first they just argue with each other and than suddenly when they stop using that giant fish thing to ride them around they fall in love. Where the heck did that come from?

^ At some point in the movie Sinbad told Marina he had loved her for a long time, and she was the reason he left and went sailing. Watch the movie again.
Odette and Derek...they fell in love all of a sudden, and it was purely based to looks.

There's still the fact that Marina fell for him out of no where. First she hates him and is fighting with him than suddenly after that fish scene she's in love with him. What the heck? I'd explain Odette and Derek but I've explained it to you a thousand times so I might as well not even waste my time.

Marina got to spend some time with Sinbad, they spend time together, and she had the chance to see another part of him, which he tries to hide. But anyway, she definitely saw more good things in Sinbad, than Odette was able to see in Derek. For years she saw him as a spoiled, immature and rude boy, and then all of a sudden she's in love with him.

Ugh I've never liked Odette and Derek. They've also felt really stiff and over-idealized. Marina and Sinbad has always been special to me, I like their progression and the sincerity in Sinbad's love for Marina.
