I saw this movie last night for the first time!! One of the best movies I have ever seen :') And one of those very few movies that are actually life-changing. The two cowboys went beyond what society finds acceptable, but many men do what the cowboys did in the film. Many are married but share their secret love with another man. It is hard explaining to people that a man can love a woman (physically as well as mentally) as well as a man. They are different but oh so fulfilling: sadly many women feel threatened by this, even though men usually practice safe sex. It is something that most men cannot control - it is so strong.
