First of all i'd like to say that i'm a chinese and i'm surprised to log on a foreign website without any difficulties.
I watched this film several days before and i, say, have been indulged in it. It is extremely hard to express my feelings in some few words. I 've heard about this film two years ago when i was still in highschool. A friend of mine persuaded me not to watch it because i would be absolutely moved and affected my senior school study. And i think she proved right.
Although i have seen some films of the similar theme before, like [i]the love of siam[i] and [i]i love you Phillip Morris[i], i still can' help myself out of it. Maybe it's because i am also homosexual and can easily get that feelings.
But as an outsider, i still have to say it's outstanding because it perfectly conveyed the innovation of love. Just as Ang Lee said, any great love must have gone through a great deal of vital obstacles and twinkled in the long river of time. Jack and Ennis are separated by death, though, their love get purified and will exist in all our mind. Apart from the theme, there are much to appreciate. The scenery is gorgeous, the background music is beautiful, and the actors' skills are pretty heart-stiking! I feel breath-taken when i saw Jack's eyes. And i feel my heart gone when i saw Ennis's desperate look at the time he hear the death news.
After all, it's one of the most extraordinary films i have ever watched. It's just my Titanic.
P.S: i like jake gyllenhaal very much.
