ATLA and LOK aren't bad TV Shows. But, The One I have the hardest is LOK, I mean, why Would Korra Take Unaavatu Out of the Spirit world?! I've always wondered If Korra is a "listener of wan" or not.

A petition has opened up a few months ago to continue the stories within the Avatar:TLA and Korra world. If the petition reaches the goal number of signers they will start a new series!
So saw the finally finally why all the hate on korrsami? It's a beautiful ending and with all the hate on gay couples and marriage I find is something the world needs. Also DA fuq sui bataar is just as guilty why does he get a free pass ? Overall the finale was good but as a whole series did alright, atla did better but hey I'm not the writer
Posted over a year ago
Yeah.... ATLA did MUCH better. LoK was pretty much a letdown for me. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are hating on Korrasami because they don't like the couple (and they don't HAVE to like it), and some people feel it deserved more attention in the series. I personally am against the in-show version of Korrasami because I don't think it was developed to where it should have been, and the fandom writes it 10 times better than Bryke. But there is also a lot of hate because A TON of Korrasami shippers are being excessively rude and obnoxious to the rest of the fandom and basically rubbing everyone's face into the fact that their ship is canon. It's like the Makorrians all over again. The sad part is that the fandom reflects onto the couple. If the fanbase sucks, your couple is going to be dragged down by it.over a year ago
yeah I can see that not much to debate about this couple other then ETHICALLY this is something the world needed However as a Seris for the whole was a terrible throw as the idea of Korra and asami being "lesbians" was suttle Bryke confirmed he didn't know this was going to happen then just kinda shoved it at us. But would Nickledoian have aired any of korra if any the premise focused on a Gay couple proabily not to be honest. Also poor Maco he made them Gay XD XDover a year ago
Aren't ethics the equivalent of moral behaviors that govern one's behavior? I'm not seeing how this is an ethical situation in the sense that one's ethics tie into one's religion, and in all technicality, people shouldn't have to question their own religious beliefs and ethics. People have the right to believe what they want and deem whatever they seem fit as their own moral agenda/what they see ethically right in their lives. I think it is more of a political and social situation if anything because it is bringing up a controversial issue in those two areas. That's just my opinion though. xD Nickelodeon is completely pro-homosexuality..... they've aired an animated show with a gay kiss before. I don't get why Korrasami didn't get their kiss...... I'm personally putting more blame on Bryke for that.over a year ago
Korrasami could have been way more developed i agree and that's why some people didn't like it (unless your just a homophobe which in that case i feel sorry your disgusted by two consenting women of the same age together). I personally think they have way more chemistry then Mako did with either of themover a year ago
^ I'm still annoyed at how Bryke threw them together at the last minute. That's just sad and the representation needed to be way better.over a year ago
Because it's a cool ship and it gives representation to the LGTB. It's astounding that the Makorra fans are to distraught over their ship to appreciate what a huge step this is in Western animation.over a year ago
I was little crept out when I saw Korra and Asami. My first fought was: That's disgusting but then I realized that they are not lesbians. I don't like the part that it finishes all.over a year ago
I hate it that Kuvira apologized to Su for the 'grief' she caused on her family. Su should have listened to Kuvira when she expressed interest in helping their nation - instead she ignored her and acted like it was 'wrong.' She tried to assassinate her. She treated her coldly before she even got out of hand. Su took her in, but didn't regard her as a daughter (in my eyes, anyway.) Su should have apologized long ago, but instead told her "she'll answer for everything she's done."
Posted over a year ago
Agreed with all of this! I also hated when Su said to Kuvira "you're going to answer for everything you've done." I'm sorry, but what about Bataar Jr.? He is just as guilty, but Su tells him that they will get through it as a family. I really hate Su, and don't you love how she isn't answering for abandoning the earth nation and attempting assassination twice?over a year ago
Gosh yes! Why is it that Baatar got away Scott free when he built the mecha-suit? He did just as much as she did. Not cool. I mean Kuvira's heart was always in the right place, she apologized, and she called off her army in then end as sh was being arrested. Shouldn't she get a second freaking chance?over a year ago
That finale was literally the worst thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Kuvira deserved better....Korra and Kuvira being paralleled..... please stop comparing my fave to my least fave, and random Korrasami thrown at us at the end with a doting Asami..... no thank you. Thank God this series is over. Utterly ridiculous.

Really? I loved the fight scenes, the character development was still unreal compared to what it has been, there were some shocking moments (Hiroshi dying), and KORRASAMI FTW! But yeah, I was also hoping for a Masami ending (is that how you say it?) Kuvira finally realizing her mistakes was very shocking, since all of the past villains haven't even come close to learning anything. Kuvira is truly one of the greatest villains in the series, and I'm happy that she lived.over a year ago
Maybe it's because Nick wouldn't allow homosexuality and after they got booted off air Nick loosened it's grip on the writing? I don't know.over a year ago
I don't buy anything Bryke says. Nickelodeon was one of the first networks to air the show, 6teen, which has one episode that features two men kissing. So..... Nick has already shown that it "allows" homosexuality on their network. And if they loosened their grip, then LoK could have featured MORE Korrasami then. Whatever Bryke is saying, they are full of shit. They tacked on Korrasami as an afterthought at the end to avoid criticism for their shitty series as a whole. That's just what I'm seeing. And then their posts calling all their critics "homophobes" is a load of bullshit that just shits on their fans. I'm not a fan of any couple because they are all set up terribly, but I think they could have done more for Korrasami to be better representation for them and the LGBT community.over a year ago
That new episode was actually good for a change. Kuvira is a beast and takes no prisoners. I love her. I will say though that Team Avatar & the rest are kind of dumb not to expect Kuvira earlier... that's just some common sense there. But yeah, I also love how Asami's weapons & her factory/company was blown up. Looks like she needs to start over AGAIN. This show should be called the shit on Asami show I s2g. But hopefully they all lived & Asami isn't sidelined. Also woo for Iroh and Tahno back.

I'm especially wondering where the hell Asami was during the investigation. I'm assuming she's still in the building, which is even more worrying because she didn't know about the explosion... ahh, this cliffhanger is going to drive me nutsover a year ago
yes Korra is Darker then the orginall avatar but it's still keeping to that theme of "Characters get hurt but don't die" we just assume they die off screen but as for Mature viewers like Us those unsettle deaths are thrown in.over a year ago
Just saw the finale..... -__- they all are okay, and then when they are injured, we don't see them anymore, and then certain characters who are seriously injured make a miraculous full recovery. This is why I don't like LoK.over a year ago
I know I don't like Asami but I'm a little mad. Every episode they give her a word or two and in season 1 she was the main character.

Agreed! Asami is treated horribly by Bryke.... giving Asami a few lines wouldn't take away from the plot, nor would it take away from Korra. Come on Bryke!over a year ago
Such a shame. She's really grown on me and now we're lucky if she gets a line or two. I'm hoping we get more from her in the last three episodes.over a year ago
Wow..... Asami literally was shit on once again in this new episode. The chance she is given to show her genius, and she isn't allowed to say one word. Tell us how you really feel about her Bryke. -___- This episode bugged me so much. Thank God there was some Kuvira highlights though.... that saved the episode for me.

Well it was focusing on the Bei Fong family >_< not Asami nor Korra Mako Tenzin etc so it focused on the others like everyone gets an episode where they play a bigger role , it can't be all Asami ....over a year ago
Agreed with zanier. The point is that EVERY OTHER PERSON got a line in that episode, including Korra, Mako, and Wu, and even Raiko.... The problem is that even if it is a BeiFong centric episode, when it is time for other characters to shine, Asami is never allowed to shine...... EVEN WHEN THE SCENE CALLS FOR HER AND IT IS HER DAMN PLAN.over a year ago
Also, Asami never has gotten one episode all to herself...... even though everyone else has. Bryke constantly shit on Asami and it is ridiculous. She deserves so much better than that..... it's just sad because it is NEVER Asami.over a year ago
Yeah autocorrect got me too I meant in not on. But yeah one thing that got me is how they showed like Tahno and that hobo guy before they showed Asami in this last episode.over a year ago
New episode: Um.... a little rushed & too spirit-y for my liking. I don't get how Korra can be spiritually connected one minute, and then not the next. And then she has to see Zaheer, who willingly helps her after wanting to destroy her, because of "common interests." How convenient.... And then Jinora, the most spiritually inclined, can't do anything useful in this episode? Mako being thrown in and why? He serves no purpose being present. And my favorite.... Asami being thrown in for 4 lines.
Posted over a year ago
And also.... why the hell are Bo and Opal so annoying? We've got Bo using a ruse to get Opal to come to him, and then we've got Opal holding a grudge. I forgot.... Bo was the one who kidnapped her mother....not Kuvira. -__- And why are they going on a rescue mission? Why are they dragging Lin down with it too? Do they realize they are all going to get caught? They are morons.over a year ago
^^ The episode just fell flat for me. I was being super biased too! I totally agree though. I would have preferred more spotlight on Kuvira than Zaheer.over a year ago
@tsmith: I'm just super biased. I adore Asami and I hate that she always gets the short end of the stick with this show. Varrick is good on his own, but he, like Asami, needs his own show lol I think if I were Opal, I would try to be rational. I tend to be an overly rational person, so if my mother tried to go after Kuvira, I think I would have been like "no bitch no.... we do not do that now." lmao But I think I'd try to get a bigger crew for the rescue mission though.... going in with 3 other people is just asking for trouble. I'm just saying it's typical cliche bullshit with "we gotta save the family" thing. That's all. Been there.... done that. Didn't ATLA do a save the family type of mission too? Yep.... let's stop doing them!over a year ago
I'm going to be completely, 100%, brutally honest about the most recent episode.
A clip show? A clip show. I hate clip shows. As a rule, I think they should just be cut from any series - I don't care if it's been done for budget reasons, just make the series one episode shorter and don't leave the fans waiting another week for the actual story.
And I. Freaking. Loved. Episode 8. Honestly, I preferred it to the 'Ember Island Players', its Avatar equivalent.
Posted over a year ago
It was filler, but filler at a reasonable point. They had Korra make it through the whole 'world not needing the Avatar' issue thats been building for a while, it serves as a calm before things get really serious again and, in my opinion, the writing was very strong in the areas it aimed at - namely, the comedy. The fourth wall humour was particularly strong and Varrick, as always, killed it. Perhaps its because I think I was aware that it would be something like a clip show and so knew what I was getting into (and thus, I wasn't about to be disappointed) - and just found it extremely funny and enjoyable. If I'm the only one, I honestly don't care, because I think the writing was very strong - heck, even the reason for the flashbacks made a fair bit of sense - it wasn't just characters saying 'hey, remember when we did so-and-so? That was fun'. It was all surprisingly believable in the context of the show.over a year ago
It was pointless bit had some good commentary it was basically all the complaints of the fans about Mako and season 2 in general. I actually liked the phone call part between all of the villains and Unalaqu being the unpopular oneover a year ago
Agreed - it was pointless, but so was 'Ember Island Players', really. And I found this episode made me laugh in a way that episode made me cringe (I know that was the intention, I just find it harder to laugh when my toes are curling)over a year ago
Nickelodeon gets the blame for this one. Apparantely, the budget for Book 4 got it, almost an entire episode's worth. It was either this episode or fire half of the staff. But I agree, it was a boring filler. Waiting for Toph to strike >:)over a year ago
I actually read Bryan's message. He solely blamed Nick for the budget cut, yet he knew a year and a half in advance. I don't blame Nick for being business savvy. I blame Bryke for poor writing quality, poor business decisions, and not bothering to pursue other options. I just don't get how that episode even got the "ok" to air. It was horrible.over a year ago
Asami's moped...in a flashback. Oh the memories. All those Mosami moments. :') But then Mako's grandma calling him naughty for kissing Korra while dating Asami and then saying that he was like his grandpa! And that phone call with Amon, Zaheer, and the other villains!

Jesus.... I just saw the clip for next week's episode. *eye roll* Mako teaching Wu how to fight because Mako is a "tough guy who can defend himself." -barf- And oh look.... forced Makorra bullshit. Seriously Bryke..... can you not write a book without these stupid ships? Or better yet, not write about your selective ship of glory? The more I watch Book 4, the more I want it to be done. I can't take how bad some of it is...
Posted over a year ago
Nope..... apparently the "villain" who should be a main focus isn't. We have four episodes left and we're wasting time with Wu and Mako. Typical Bryke. -__-over a year ago
Just watched Reunion, & it was pretty much a pointless episode. The plot didn't progress any further. It had so many damn forced moments for every ship. Korrasami being the best o' friends despite Korra not keeping in touch & only writing 1 letter. Makorra apparently being chill friends that joke (when the hell did that happen?). There were several Masami moments that imply that Asami and Mako talk a lot off screen (Asami and Mako whispering at table) & Asami giving Mako & Bo's family a house.
Posted over a year ago
Idk.... I feel like their reunion could have been shortened, there didn't need to be too much focus on Wu, and for once, Bo and Varrick's storyline was more intriguing to watch. I love Korra having a mastering in feeling the energy around her and sensing everything. How spiritual of her..... and I love how she masters it after Toph shows her once. And hell, she even can sense through metal now too! *insert eye roll all the way back in head* And lastly, all hail Kuvira.over a year ago
Maybe it was just a filter? Well, except for the super important thing that happened at the end. I don't feel that Korrasami is forced or Makorra moments are forced... i've seen WAY worst forced stuff. *coughs* *total drama* *coughs*over a year ago
^^ @joyfullness: I really think it was a filler episode and that's a real pisser.... you'd think they'd focus on the actual plot because of limited episodes, yet they're going to pull a book 1 ending: rushed and cliche. As for the couplings, I don't think the Makorra moments were forced for once, which was good, but I just found their random friendship all great. It was just weird. Last time we saw Makorra together, they were awkward around each other, and now they seem like good chums despite Korra not writing to him in 3 years. It was just really blehhh to me. And Korrasami.... omfg.... why don't we have Asami fawn all over Korra. I don't think her lady boner is showing hard enough. Why are they all of a sudden the best of friends? I don't get it. Last book they just acted like "oh yeah we're friends now.... girl power shit" and now this season, despite them not speaking in 3 years & Korra writing 1 letter, they suddenly are "omfg i need to see you because we're best friends."over a year ago
It's just really forced to me..... relationship or friendship. It's like we've dismissed the fact that they barely knew each other existed in the first two books, and then in the third, they magically became best friends while driving in a car talking about Mako. Like what???? It reminds me of the Total Drama Gwentney shit that went down in TDAS. blehhhhover a year ago
I showed my dad a picture of Kuvira, declaring that I found a new favorite. He thought she was a man! Omg dad, Kuvira is a lady lol. More specifically a loud speaker lady according to Meelo.

I can sort of see how he would think that I mean she has this vey contradicting masculine but feminine looking face. It's hard to explain. She's super pretty no less.over a year ago
So the new episode is the best one so far. Korra losing made my day. I will always root for Kuvira. I just love how Korra forgets she can metalbend, and instead of learning from her past fighting mistakes, continues to let her anger and personal intentions get in the way of her diplomacy and fighting. Why does she refuse to learn anything? And Jinora and Opal intervening..... like do they not realize that they are just as bad as Su for breaking a truce/agreement? They're making things worse....
Posted over a year ago
Bo and Varrick..... I can't deal with it. Varrick was actually really smart in this episode.... what a first. And Meelo needs to fall off a cliff. But seriously though.... why did Ikki and Meelo fly into battle just to get Korra out, and idk not try to get Bataar and the artsy Beifong out? Or idk.... why has no one called for help? Even Jinora questions Korra's strength, so where the hell are reinforcements from the fire nation, air nation, and water nation?over a year ago
Korra looks absolutely pathetic in the fight scenes. She definitely doesn't have that killer punch she used to have. As for Kuvira, totally agree, I am rooting for her as well. And I also like her hair down as well :D Have to see what happens. I did see some Asami fight scenes in the trailer ;)over a year ago
@TDI_A_WT_ROTI: I just thought it was in bad taste having Korra jump right back into fighting.... she didn't learn anything. Fighting is not always the answer. Korra tried diplomacy for maybe 2 minutes. Come on. She can't come up with a reasonable solution without having to fight? I love Kuvira though.... she's amazing. And her hair down is so rad! I need more Asami.... I really need to see her lol She's my fave.over a year ago
@bakes Right lol. @TDI_A I totally agree tehre too. As you said she just doesn't have that touch she did in season 1. I feel like she's either too soft or too hard-headed. I guess I prefer hot headed to soft now that I've seen it. Soft Korra is just awkward to me, I"m not used to it. But yeah Kuvira was kicking her arse, she would have won if not for Opal and Jinora. Also agree that Kuvira looks damn fine with her hair down, I love it.over a year ago
So how does everyone feel about Kuvira? She's been nothing but a great villain probably the best thing this season. I hope we get more backstory in her honestly
Posted over a year ago
Wow, Asami shafted again. UNBELIEVABLE. The writers really must hate her. The one time she's supposed to have a character arc with her dad, they condense it to 2 of the smallest scenes, and make Asami forgive him just like she forgives everyone who repeatedly shits on her. I have had it with LOK. And now we have Korra trying to be diplomatic, when all she's heard is Su's side of the story? *facepalm* And Bo working with Varrick is a joke. I cannot deal with my immense hate for Book 4 right now.

I guess that's a difference in personal philosophies, then. I believe people can and do change all the time. Speaking from personal experience, I'd say that anyone can change for the better. And I guess part of our disagreement is that I don't view it as a moment of weakness for Asami. She doesn't need her father - she's flourished running his company without his help. She simply chooses to give it a try - and I read it as being as much for herslef and peace of mind as anything else. Not out of need, but out of choice - which I view as a very strong decision on her part. Particularly given the emphasis often placed on forgiveness in Avatar, I think that it was at least intended to show her as being strong in that area. I do think it was done too quickly - even an extra episode with a few scenes devoted to this story would have gone a long way. But I don't view the concept as a bad thing at all - just an ironic imbalance in the execution.over a year ago
.... I kind of agree with the whole forgiveness thing, and I think I would have been fine with it, had they extended the whole thing into more scenes or else Asami's own episode. But that's not going to happen..... I'm just disappointed with it. And I thought it was in bad taste having Hiroshi say he "created" Asami as if she were one of his inventions. That pissed me off so much.over a year ago
My thoughts on a certain moment in episode three:

I loved this episode! I really love the air babies, so I enjoyed seeing them looking for Korra. The reunion was so beautiful, and I teared up watching it. Also, I'm very proud of Korra for bending all the poison out. She was very courageous by facing her fears, and I absolutely loved the moment when she went in Avatar state. The only scene I didn't like was when Ikki was captured. It was a bit boring. But overall, it was an amazing episode. I love Book 4 so far!

Liked the most recent episode. Found Meelo a little irritating but he had a few funny moments. The reunion between the kids and Korra was a wonderful moment, and it was nice seeing a bit of old school questing from Aang's grandchildren. Also the tying together of the villains and how they all have noble goals but are imbalanced and try to achieve them in the wrong way - good stuff, particularly given how they've set up Kuvira as the big bad of the season.
Posted over a year ago
I gotta say I really enjoyed this new episode, I now know what connects all the villains together which is imbalance. The best thing about this episode is seeing Korra regain her avatar state and metal bending the poison out of her body.
Korra never ceases to amaze me, she has really come a long way since season 1.
Posted over a year ago
Is it bad that I really hated the newest episode? The air babies bugged the hell out of me.... especially Meelo. And for once, I actually thought Ikki was more tolerable than Jinora and Meelo. It bugged me so much that Jinora was kind of bossy and wouldn't listen to anyone. And Korra and her adept metal bending.... I can't deal with how much I really can't stand Korra.
Posted over a year ago
I don't think getting the poison out is bad. I just think it is shoddy writing that Korra has been shown as weak and she hasn't really practiced any bending..... yet now, because Toph tells her "you can do it... you can cure yourself of PTSD by metal bending," Korra suddenly can take all of the metal out with no problem? I just think the writing is really lame in this book. Korra who has just learned how to metal bend and hasn't really practiced it in 3 years suddenly can take out minuscule amounts of poison, when Su, a full fledged metal bender who was taught by the original metal bender (Toph), couldn't..... it's just far fetched and falls under Bryke making Korra better than everyone because of her avatar status.over a year ago
And then Bryke even inserts Toph talking down about her kids and their metal bending skills. Like come on Bryke..... really? Let's just reinforce how the Gaang were bad parents and undermine prominent figures in LOK who we've seen to be pretty badass in their elements. That's right.... just to instantly cure Korra of PTSD so she can take down Kuvira (who has honestly done more for everyone in 3 years than Korra and the air benders have done).over a year ago
^ Yeah.... I just hate some of these episodes. They wasted a whole episode on the air babies arguing and looking for a Korra (when they didn't know she was in the earth kingdom?). And then another episode where Korra is off "alone with her thoughts." I'd rather watch Kuvira personally. And Asami. But that's just me. I also just don't like how they rid Korra of her PTSD because it's an inconvenience to her being the avatar. Oh yeah... metal bend out your feelings. I don't get it. And yeah... Meelo is such a lil shit. I can't stand his sexist bs. I wanted to smack that kid so hard. I've never liked him though lolover a year ago
Right now I feels so bad for Korra, she is trying her hardest to get better in order to help the people she cares about, but I just hate the fact that everyone relies on her too much it's sickening. She almost had her bending taken away, she lost her connection with her previous incarnations, and she was mercury poisoned and was literally and mental broken. If there is one thing I learned these past seasons, It is that Korra has proven to be developed heroic and selfless.

Even with how awesome season 3 was and how good season 4 is so far, I still don't love the characters in this show in even a small amount comparable to the original series. I wish instead of Korra we got a show of the original gang in their 30s or 40s, trying to mend the world as best as they could.

I completely agree! I just find Korra so unlikeable, and I hate how so much emphasis is put on Mako and Bo's trivial sagas, and Asami (who is probably the only character i like and respect) is always cast aside. I just would prefer the Gaang growing up and parenting. I'd love it!over a year ago
Loved the most recent episode. Can't think of anything that I disliked aside from the fact that it ended. Old Toph was great (surprise surprise), loving the politics more this season than any of the rest because we have heroes on both sides and that is HOW to start off any sort of Civil War. And frankly, Mako and Bolin's confrontation was a great sequence, very well handled and one of my favourite scenes in the entire show.

Well 3rd episode was kinda blehhh. No Asami....as usual. -__- Korra getting her ass kicked by Toph made my day. I loved how Toph put her in her place: she is deliberately AVOIDING her responsibilities & she is BLIND to the world around her. Yep.... that sums it up perfectly. But of course, Korra still has metal in her body.... thanks Bryke for adding this in. It couldn't just be Korra has PTSD.... nope let's give her an excuse for her not getting better. I'm very mixed on this season. I love Kuvira so much (but she's only gonna die in the end like the rest of the villains and cool characters). But the lack of Asami was offensive (oh yeah, she was in the background of one scene). The prince dude was annoying. But Mako was even more so. Poor Bo. I loved Toph so so much though. I am too! I love Kuvira too. I'd support her. Where the hell is Asami? Why is she always cast aside? I could give a rip about Korra, Mako, and Bo. Just show Asami. Mako is driving me nuts with Wu. And his brother fight is just solo ughhh who cares? Stop putting politics first. TOPH WAS WONDERFUL. I miss Ming and P'Li. AND YES WHERE IS SHE? And who the hell was next to Zuko? I'd support her too xD. I like to pretend that Sato was doing her Sato thing and is to busy doing something actually important to have screen time lol. I don't care for their interactions much either. And yes! He needs to stop putting Bo behind other issues. Toph is always amazing. I miss Azula so much, it's becoming frustrating. I just don't get the absence of Sato. She's a main character, but she's always cast aside. I love how they put her in the background of the ceremony next to Mako.... a place where she honestly would not be standing. It's like they realized "oh right...we forgot her (again). Guess we better throw her in." Yeah their interactions are lacking.... Mako is such an asshat. I just want the Gaang back.... forget LOK. Azula needs at least a mention. See, I think it was Zuko's daughter too, but as usual, we are left with more questions. Typical Bryke.over a year ago
I personally really like the new this new episode ("Korra All Alone"?) I thought it was great how they showed the process of her physical recovery and told us of how her mental state progressed to that extent. Clearly reveling to us that no, the Avatar is not invincible and you can't expect someone to keep taking hits continual and proceed to carry on. Because she's human and some things take awhile to be digested and heal, while some things can never be overcome.

I loved the second episode! In my opinion, it was one of the best LOK episodes. I love how it focused on Korra, and I loved learning how Korra recovered and how she ended up in the Earth Kingdom. Katara was amazing, and I loved how Aang kept doing his air trick, even as an adult. Also.....TOPH! That was the best part! I'm so glad that she's back, and she called Korra Twinkletoes :D

Ehh....Korra centric episodes kind of bore me so this episode was really mehhh for me. My fave parts: the spirits being cute, old Katara was pretty cool, that picture of Aang doing his air trick (ahhhh I miss him), and that ending was bittersweet.....but I needed to see it. Hopefully next week will be better.

Good second episode I can understand a bit why Korra is acting the way she is now more. I love the atmosphere and different locations of this episodes. Also that ending I don't really wanna spoil but the last minutes awesome! Plus the spirits are adorable

So, I watched the first episode of Book 4. It was really good! I already love Kuvira, and I can see many similarities between her and Azula. I'm guessing she might be Azula's daughter, but I don't know for sure. I also love the idea of Mako being Wu's body guard. It's hilarious watching him deal with Wu's attitude XD I really want to find out more about what happened with Korra, and why she went to the Earth Kingdom. Overall, I loved this episode and I can't wait for the next one!
Posted over a year ago
So what a great first episode! i like Kuvira she seems like the most "normal" out of all the villains and it's cool the leaders a girl for once! interested in her story. Wu is just weird but funny and brings out a hilarious side to Mako. Also Opal seems to be a much more independent character then she was previously (her reaction when she found out she and Kuvira were gonna be related=priceless)

i'm surprised it's a three year gap i thought it was going to pick up only a month or two after season 4. Great start we'll see where this goesover a year ago
So the newest episode.... um.... is it bad that I prefer the villain once again? And I ship Kuvira and her fiancé so damn hard, and Kainora being canon is fantastic! Bopal is at its prime right now.... although on the rocks, they seem like they've matured and they seem realistic for once. That scene with Korra at the end -___- ughhh why!?!?!? Why are they showing her trying to prove her "worth" again!?
Posted over a year ago
Honestly i don't ship her with her fiancee right now because they've barley had any screen time together and what they did wasn't telling of the relationshipover a year ago
^ Yeah I would have liked to see more of their formation. Part of me feels like it's going to be an act, but then the other part of me feels that their relationship is real and they both are sadistic. I can't wait for the flashback episode... ep. 2 is supposedly Korra's....and maybe we'll see a bit of them?over a year ago
I love Kuvira too! She seems similar to Azula, and that's amazing! I don't ship her with her fiancee yet either, but I do hope we get to see more of their relationship. The Korra scene at the end was honestly my favorite. I was curious about what would happen to her, and I'm actually quite shocked. Also, I would love an episode focusing on Korra. But that's just my opinion :)over a year ago
I was actually really annoyed with the last scene with Korra. Korra is trying to prove her "worth" again and it has been done how many times in this series. I'm just kind of bored with it. I also don't get why Bryke keeps trying to make us feel sorry for Korra..? She's shirking her responsibilities AGAIN by avoiding all of the problems happening in the Earth Kingdom. It just bugs me that all this horrible stuff is going on, and she's in an underground brawl doing nothing but moping about her "lost identity" and avoiding her job.over a year ago
I SAW THE NEW CLIP FOR THE FIRST EPISODE OF BOOK 4. They're honoring Asami!!! WOOOOO Asami is adored by the prince, and of course she hates the attention/him. And Mako swoops in to rescue her. I LOVE THIS. I needed more Asami in my life, along with a Masami moment.
Posted over a year ago
Asami really is a great character I love her mix of sugar and spice attitude. Also she's a fresking mechanic and dresses in steampunk how can you NOT love her?over a year ago
They did give hints that she might have more screentime this season, and that's amazing! Asami is a wonderful character! Also, Prince Wu seems like an idiot. No wonder Kuvira is able to take over the Earth Kingdom.over a year ago
I'm praying that she has more screen time! She seriously was gypped for the past 3 books. Yeah Prince Wu is different.... I still don't get Kuvira building a massive army and no one stops her. I get Korra is recovering.....but neither she nor anyone else bothered to check things out?over a year ago
Well there was a preview clip that was released, and it showed us that she was going to stay at the Southern Water Tribe for a while. So you're right, she was probably recovering.over a year ago
I'm just not getting how Kuvira manages to build a massive army and no one notices it....lol I really hope Bryke explains this and doesn't just throw it at us like "there it is...accept it without explanation" like a good portion of Books 1-3over a year ago
I wish they'd mention her and the rest of the Gaang. I care so much about Suki and Sokka, and they aren't mentioned either. And how do we know if Toph is going to be back? This might be another way to lure us in and then bam....it's not her. -__-over a year ago
So what are everyone's predictions about Book 4? I'm hoping that the Korrasami friendship changes and is no longer just one-sided. I also can't wait for villain Kuvira..... bless the leaked pics by Nick last book. Still not too crazy about Korra's new hair though. But I'm stoked that Hiroshi is back and Asami will FINALLY get her own story arc. It's about damn time.

I'm actually really excited for a strong, female villain that doesn't look like she takes any crap. Love it! I knew they were paying too much attention to her in book 3 lol But yessss I'm so pumped for more Asami time! :Dover a year ago
Me too! Asami needs more screen time. I hope we get to see her mother in a flashback. I am also very excited to see villain Kuvira. She would be an amazing villain!over a year ago
more than a prediction, I fricking want a flashback of the battle between The Red Lotus vs Zuko, Sokka, Tonraq and Tenzin. THAT would be awesomeover a year ago
^^ Asami needs way more screen time. I saw the snippet of her in the trailer....and she's the driver again. -__- And look....they put her hair up. ughhover a year ago
^ Yeah I want that too! I miss the Gaang.....so I want to see Sokka and Zuko. I'll even take Katara and Toph (which we're supposed to see but who knows what the hell they are doing....).over a year ago
A few words over the Red Lotus' ultimate fate: So turns out Zaheer's predictions weren't as accurate as he thought. I always guessed he was full of hot air... But seriously, you saw what happened to Ming-Hua? I was shocked - though not as shocked as she was! Then old Ghazan, buried himself alive. He always seemed so down-to-earth. And say what you will about Zaheer's reaction to P'Li's death - at least he didn't lose his head over it.
... What? Too soon?

I didn't realize I'd seen the picture of her with the tattoos before I saw the episode, I actually thought it was a flashback to Aang in the Lok XD her granddaddy would be so proud :)over a year ago
Finally saw the book 3 finale.....wow what an ending! i honestly wish they made the villains a bit more sympathetic and less "eh they have back story but we don't have the time to go into it so let's kill all the lackeys and degrade the leader" but anywya the fights were epic and Jinora is an airbending master now yay that was so moving! can't wait for season 4.

"eh they have back story but we don't have the time to go into it so let's kill all the lackeys and degrade the leader" Yes! That's what annoyed me.\over a year ago
That bothered me too. No effort was put into the villains...... -__- and then their cause that actually made sense when it was introduced just became a "kill the avatar" thing. Just ughhhh.over a year ago
The finale was epic, and very unexpected. I agree with what you said about the villains. I would've loved to hear their backstory in the last episode. And I am very happy for Jinora getting her tattoos. She deserves it!over a year ago
^ Same here, but this is the one show, at least for me, where I just can't stand the heroes and I literally hope that it doesn't end well for them. I just can't stand our heroes in this show....only Asami is good in my book.over a year ago
Maybe for all kids rating. I'm pretty sure it'd get a PG rating in Britain, suitable for some kids but parents are advised to check firstover a year ago
OMG! He's the good character and she's the bad character good characters killed the evil characters get over it your being so ummature sorry to say but it's true this is why I hardly come on here anymore people say stuff like this and it pisses me off -__-over a year ago
Hey don't get all mad at me. You're always hating on Asami and I've been letting it slide. At least Asami didn't kill your favorite character, I think I have very right to hate him now. He's no better than she is now that he's a murder. If Mako dies I'll kindly remind you to just get over it too. :) I'm not going to just 'get over it'. It makes me so mad that they killed off a perfectly fascinating character. I think it's so so cute that I defended you when pumpkin was going at you and you're here stabbing me in the back...again. Thank you very much. Me, immature? At least I can spell it, at least this is the first time I've truly insulted Mako in a while, meanwhile you've been insulting my favorite character the whole time and I haven't complained once. And at least I didn't personally insult a real person, just a fictional one. So again, thanks very much for the personal insult. Great then don't come on here anymore.over a year ago
You're lucky I don't behave like your good friend pumpkinqueen or this little rant would have been much worse. And that's fine, hate the villains. Be happy that he killed her, just don't expect any pity from me if something happens to your precious little Mako. Frankly I'd be glad to see him killed off next.over a year ago
So she died? Huh. I knew old combustion chick kicked the bucket, with water lady it seemed a little ambiguous. Still, I kind of liked it - it was a really clever way of besting her, it was in self-defence so I don't find it as morally reprehensible as you seem to... Yeah. That is all. Also, no need to be starting the fights magicalgirl, the characters don't exist in the real world.over a year ago
Well that finale was......ok. Kinda depressing. At least they finally humbled Korra so much that she's just there. President Raiko, Tenzin, and Lord Zuko's discussion at the end was prime. Asami and Bo are two badasses who shouldn't be messed with, and sweet Jinora looks EXACTLY like Aang.

Oh, and then there's the psychological factor. Ming goes from being arguably powerless - her water being gone and her without arms - to having all that water at her command and Mako more or less where she wants him. Anyone who goes from a posistion of powerlessess to incredible power in a conflict will almost undoubtedly feel something akin to arrogance that stops them from thinking as hard in battle - because hey, you've got all that power now, you could swat them like a fly. I'd imagine that would have something to do with it.over a year ago
That's just what I'm saying though. Ming needs to go to water because her water supply is gone. So she goes deep down into a cavern filled with it. She has the upper hand, and then Mako blindly follows (which was dumb on his part), and then bam....he sees her in her octo form. And then he doesn't know what to do, so he electric bends because he remembers he has it. My point being......this scene is really fucking stupid. It was written to glorify Mako and his "special bending" that was thrown at him in the first book. And like you said, it's not common......but of course, Mako has it. And naturally, Mako does it with no control, killing Ming (who is the baddest of bad). I hate the writing, but it's evident that Mako is the precious favorite of the writers. I can't deal with Mako and his bullshit.over a year ago
So, on the most recent episode: Tenzin is now my favourite character. Sorry Lin, you're still just as awesome as ever, you still hold a second place.

Episode 10 was pretty rad. Asami is a badass & was a gem this episode. She saved everyone! Can we have a spinoff series with Asami, Captain Hook, & the crew? That'd be amazing. Bo was great too; him making friends with the enemy was wonderful. The only downsides to this episode were Korra being a tad persecuted in thinking she's at fault for everything("It's not my fault" and "oh I guess that's my fault") & no one of high authority in the earth bending kingdom recognizing Zaheer and his crew.

You know, now that they've shifted away from the love triangle stuff, I'm kind of enjoying some of Mako's stuff. Namely, the idea that he's a cop that takes every job so seriously is one that fits well with his character, makes him the 'straight man' that goofier characters like Bolin can bounce off, and actually gives him some personality. Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I've always enjoyed the older-sibling-that-takes-everything-a-little-too-seriously type characters.

Episode 9, Korra's line: "Zaheer tricked me!" Like no duh.... -__- I swear to God, do the writers just love to recycle the same old crap? Is this not the umpteenth time that Korra has listened to the enemy, only to be deceived by them? I don't get it......does she just refuse to learn this lesson of not trusting the enemy, or what?
Posted over a year ago
To be fair, it wasn't so much a 'she trusted him and he betrayed her' so much as it was that he was able to speak to his friends in the physical world while remaining in the spirit world - I don't know that we've seen anyone actually able to do that. Zaheer just kept her talking to him - by giving her the answers she had actually come looking for, that no one had managed to gain over thirteen years with him in jail. Even if I'd suspected a trap (and with him staying directly in front of me and giving no indication of moving from the spirit world, I doubt I could have spotted one), I'd have stuck around because it's kind of too good an opportunity o miss.over a year ago
Also, the meeting was at sundown. Korra made the CHOICE to follow him blindly. Everything in life is a choice. She didn't have to; the plan was to follow him, and when she realized he was in the spirit world, she made the CHOICE to keep following him. And ONE skirmish can tell multitudes if she or anyone else bothered to analyze the last fight. And the fact that Aiwei and Zaheer can enter the Spirit world says that a lot about them spiritually, but again, Korra doesn't bother to look at that factor.over a year ago
We're going to have to agree to disagree. My point of this wall post was to comment on Korra saying "Zaheer tricked me," not to comment on all of this other garbage going on in LoK.over a year ago
So how exactly is this "online only" thing going to work? Are the episodes going to be posted on Nick. Com at 8:00 or something? I'm so confused!!

Tonight's episode again wasn't bad...the bending was beautiful, and Asami actually got to say 3 lines. I really hate how they don't have her doing anything; she's just the driver at the end. It's disappointing.
Korra being a metal master is some bullshit. Lin & Su being nice to each other is wonderful. I hate how they are making Bo & Asami look dumb, & they can't figure shit out. The Bopal was cute :3
Posted over a year ago
Asami got to say 3 lines!!! I shouldn't be excited but I am as she's usually not there at all! Totally agree on the metalbending part. And then poor Bo gets to watch her show off and gets yelled at for being a normal guy and not being able to pick it up right away.over a year ago
I feel bad for Bo. He is a damn good bender, yet he can't metal bend, but naturally, our glorious avatar can within seconds. I know we're pressed for book time, but give me a break. The more they cater to Korra, the more I can't stand her character.over a year ago
...Except Korra has always been good at most forms of bending, it's where her strengths lie. If you recall, Toph had no teacher and no training but was able to metal bend gloriously throughout the season. My guess is it has something to do with mindset- Toph and Korra share a number of traits (stubborn, firey etc.), and it could be that one of these is what's needed for metal bending. Bolin is almost Korra and Toph's complete opposite in many regards - he's laid back, kind of sweet (the only thing I'd say they have in common is a sense of humour), so it's more than possible that's the reasoning for it.over a year ago
Bolin is an equally good bender, if not even a better earth bender than Korra, considering earth is his ONLY element. Korra barely uses earth, yet immediately picks up metal bending. It may be due to mindsets, but if we look at all the other metal benders (i.e. Lin, Su, Su's kids etc.) they all are tough, but Su is a lot like Bo. They are laid back and sweet. Bo should be able to bend metal just as easily as Korra can if it has to do with mindset.over a year ago
Shitty is slang for 1. Of very poor quality; highly inferior. 2. Contemptible; despicable. 3. Unfortunate; unpleasant. 4. Being in a state of discomfort or unhappiness; miserable. 5. Incompetent; inept. 6. Trivial; insignificant. Any of those words can define the writing of LOK, both books 1 & 2, but again, this is an OPINION of me and a good portion of the fandom. People believe it is shitty in comparison with ATLA, not other Nick shows. And Nick is actually being smart here.....look at it from a channel's perspective. LOK is barely getting ratings. Sure, Nick could have promoted it, but why waste money on ads for a show that is barely viewed, and its fandom was MAJORLY DISAPPOINTED with its second season? That is not a good business move. Nick would rather air shows that get ratings, and boost their channel. And LOK is not a show that a lot of kids are super crazy about. And if Nick is centered for young kids, LOK is on its way out.over a year ago
Also, just because a fan is disappointed in low quality writing DOES NOT make them a poor fan. Now that is a super shitty thing to say. Me and the other "poor" fans know that Bryke can do a hell of a lot better, especially after viewing the caliber of ATLA. So please don't say that someone is a poor fan for being disappointed in some shit plots and dumb character moves.over a year ago
We're about half way through the series now, are we? If so, best half of a series this show has had since airing. The characters are likable, the story compelling, villains are SO COOL, we're getting a good balance of character development and plot development - it's the closest to Aang's series so far in terms of tone, and the animation looks better than ever, in my opinion.
Posted over a year ago
And it looks like we may be getting the villains turning up at the (BEAUTIFULLY realised) metal city. Which could mean a throwdown including the four awesome guys, Korra, Lin, Su, Mako, Asami etc - with maybe a bit of Varrik in the mix? If that happens... All of the squees, people. All of the squees.over a year ago
Some episodes got leaked, so they're doubling up to burn through them. Hopefully they'll go back to one though, otherwise we'll have to wait longer for the next book. xDover a year ago
See, if it ain't online, it kinda sucks for me. Nick has been incredibly dumb with this show on a number of accounts, one of which being that I can't find more than the first two episodes of the whole show having been released in the UK. I sort of rely on online watchings to stay up to speed.over a year ago
So far I've found them without much difficulty, but it sounds like Nickelodeon want to keep it off the internet so people rely on the channel. Which would suck for the people in countries they won't air the episodes in.over a year ago
They need the ratings.....and they aren't getting them. A lot of the fan base turned away after the horrible love triangle writing in Books 1 and 2, and now book 3 can't even make up for it. Not to mention, LOK is on Friday nights at an awkward time slot.....Nickelodeon screwed themselves over big time.over a year ago
The two new episodes weren't bad....the lack of Asami is getting ridiculous again. -__- The Lin/SuYin thing was neat, but I royally hated Korra involving herself in their tiff. Korra has no idea what went on between them, yet has the audacity to make snide remarks towards Lin and try to tell Lin what to do. Korra needs to MYOB it. Korra learning how to metal bend was super Mary-Suish; she just picks it up and does it...whoopdidoo no effort put forth. Baby Bison are cute and Kainora is adorable!
