So as a multi-shipper who ships my favorite character with pretty much everyone I felt like typing up a thing about it. This is not in any particular order (I didn't order it favorite to least favorite nor the reverse). That said;

Mai/Azula

I can actually get on bored with this one. I sort of have this zanhar's rules of shipping and one of those things are; if they're friends it's shippable. This one is in fact less of a crack ship to me. Like I can actually take it seriously. I can't exactly explain why though. I think it's centered around the whole betray thing--fics where the two of them work...

Why I Like Azula

Lol they are played by the same person!!? OMG1 Azula died and became a mushroom in the next life!

So one of my good buddies pointed out that Azula is one of my only favorite characters that I have not written a 'Why I Like' article for. And I though "what the heck, why not" and decided to type it up.

I'll start off with the very basic and semi-shallow reason to like her. I think she's really pretty. Of course this is not the only reason as to why I like her and is certainly not the most prominent nor important. But I think she is simply gorgeous. The long blackish-brown hair is great and as deceiving as she. Lol, it's deceiving because it looks short when it's tied up but it really isn't....

My Diagnosis For Azula

First and foremost, I am not by any means a professional (I think that's a given though) this is simply my sort of speculation and opinion as to what she'd be diagnosed with based on what knowledge I have of psychology. So I was reading Shadow of Kyoshi and I found two little things that pertain to the upbringing and social rules of the Fire Nation. The first is, “Avatar Szeto was an ideal for us officials to live up to, and a shining example of Fire Nation values in general. Efficiency, precision, and loyalty.” And the second is, “I Know it sounds frivolous and wasteful but appearances matter in the palace. Azula Is Not A Sadist Nor A Killer And She Can Be Redeemed

I've seen it commonly argued that Azula is a sadist and a killer and I disagree whole-heartedly for various reasons. For one thing, she is still a child, a child from an abusive and dysfunctional home at that. For seconds, I've always felt as though she has really done nothing different than any other character at the end of the day. I also believe that redemption is very possible for Azula. I wanted to elaborate on this by pulling things from old debates and articles I've written, just to throw my opinions into a more organized format instead of having to re-type the same points every time...

Why I Think Azula Is (At Least One Of The) Most Powerful Character(s)

So on this one poll 'who would win a fight to the death' I kind of went on this rant as to why I thought Azula would win. And I thought I'd put it in article form.

First and foremost, the obvious; Azula has Blue fire (supposedly hotter than any other fire) on the show. This is something unique to Azula and Azula alone. Where as Bloodbending is not unique to Katara. And metalbending is not unique to Toph. Others have done it before and (in Toph's case) after. Plus Katara can only do it during the full moon whereas Azula's blue fire and lighting are present at all times. And she is very skilled...

At the end of Sozin's comet part 4, when Zuko asked Ozai "Where's my mother", I knew he would not have an immediate answer. This eluded to a possible continuation of the series, or at least another show....but this was not to be. Happily, Dark Horse had picked up the reins and led us onto the further adventures of our favorite gaang. After years of wondering and waiting, we are finally able to embark on yet another life-changing field trip with Zuko-actually it's Azula's turn-to quell that question that has burned in our minds for so long.

Who else hated The Promise?

I know I did, and it's not just because of the Kataang like some people might assume of me, although that was just as if not more awkward and annoying as i imagined, but what made me mad was how they just ruined the characters!
None of them acted themsevles if you ask me. Especially Zuko but not just him, Katara too and Sokka and Suki and Mai. The only characters that didn't change completly were Aang and Toph.
I'm sorry guys I will always love the Gaang and the original series, but if this what the new series would be like if they did a continutation instead then thank god they didn't because I literally can't stand this.
So, I'm just going to pretend this was just a dumbass fanfiction but some *insert various insults here preferably curses* who doesn't know or respect any of the characters, and then I will just make up my own story about how Zuko and Aang built Republic City and be happy.
