It's one of the worst things that I know of to happen to our country. In my opinion, it's almost just as bad, if not as bad, as the 9-11 attack. What is happening to our environment in the coast is a tragedy.
And it is not just BP's fault, it is the government's fault as well. If we had the mind to stay calm and come up with a good strategy, this could have been nothing more than a minor leak. And now look at it, the whole gulf is turning black!
Let's not forget what it's doing to the animals along the coast as well. You see the soap commercials with the lady with perfect hands cleaning an oily duck. That's how almost all the animals are down there, but they have no one to help them, they're using the water to get the oil off them. And the water is mostly oil anyway, so it doesn't really matter. So this poor creatures can do nothing about being covered in poisonous, explosive muck.
Which brings me to another thing. If even the slightest bit of fire goes into the oil, that could be horrifying. The whole coast, along with its animals, homes, and marshes, could burn. That will never be able to recover!
Yeah, I'm not sure how it got so long, I guess that means mine goes in the "rants" category. :D
