I LOVE Edward! I think he's way better than Jacob! Even though Jake seems like a good friend, he's not the same as Edward.

i think Stephenie did that on pupose. She's making us choose between two good things. it's not like normal where it's good vs. evil and the choice is obvious. Jacob and Edward both love Bella and they Would both be great with her, Bella knows this too which is why the choice is even more complicated. Good vs. good just isn't fair. sooo I am letting Stephenie make up my mind for me whoever Bella ends up with is fine with me i like them both.

What fun is it if the choice is that easy? I mean... as readers. I'd hate to have to deal with that kind of choice in RL. Stephenie meant for the readers to have a hard time to choose between Jacob and Edward. Unfortunately, many fangals have chosen to be blind to Jacob's wonderful traits, thereby making their choice easy. Again, what fun is that? I prefer Stephenie's approach.

I, personally don't like this about the series... it tears the fandom.. and that's why I don't like the fandom as much.

plus, I've always felt bad.. because I always knew Jacob wasn't going to get a happy ending (in eclipse anyway) I knew Edwella would never die =/.. I can't be happy for them, until he's happy too. =C

wow love the way that was writen!! you're so right about them both but i think that bella is willing to risk her life(or soul) for her love. But lets be rational bella has always said that she doen't exactly fit in with any crowd the only crowd she has was the vampires so that's really where she could belong. then agian she was very content with the wolfs but still she has basiclly been desitne to be with the vamps BUT breaking dawn is still yet to come.

For those of you who've been wondering about Broken Dawn. I believe that Stephanie said she used A Midnight Summer's dream and one other novel (that wasn't mentioned) as her sources of ideas as to how to finish Broken Dawn. For those of you unfamiliar with A midnight Summer's Dream the book breaks down into this...and I apologize but this is going to be a very brief summary.

Hermia is betrothed to Demetrius though she does not love him. Demetrius loves Hermia though. Hermia loves Lysander and makes an attempt to run away with him telling her friend Helena what their plan is. Helena loves Demetrius and tells him thinking that she will gain his favor. There's a chase that ensues and due to Oberon & Titania & Puck's meddling they get both Lysander and Demetrius to fall in love with Helena instead. They are about to kill each other with the winner taking Helena when Oberon & Puck step in and fixing it so that Demetrius stays in love with Helena & her him, and Lysander & Hermia back together.

If you look at how that story unfolds I think everyone is up in the air. For example...Leah somehow gets Jacob to love her? They have that imprinting of love remember. Kinda like how Sam & Leah were high school sweethearts but instead he imprints himself on Emily. Perhaps it is Edward who suddenly notices something about Tanya and goes to her (very unlikely but who knows at this point).

In any case I have no doubt the final book with the voltrui (sorry if I misspelled that I'm in a hurry) have said she is to be a vampire or die were gonna see a clash of sorts here. Anywho, judging from what Steph said she used as inspiration for the final book I'm clueless.

I totally agree, jacob IS the better choice, I'm not hating on Edward though, he's perfectly fine. But its clear that there are things that Jake could give Bella that Edward can't, and thats a NORMAL life, yennoh kids, nice family, etc. Also shes perfectly safe with Jacob, hello he's a werewolf so he can protect Bella as much as Edward, also IF she hadn't chosen Edward, would there really be any danger TO protect her from ? Well in eclispe, when she was having that "flash into the future" thing when she kissed jacob, she saw two children, her OWN children IF she chose Jake, which she didn't. Of course, if she HAD think of how Charlie would react? He and Billy are besties, I LOVE the thought of all of them having a family dinner with Jacob and Bella together you know? It's like perfect family thing. Either way sh echose Edward which has benifits and drawbacks, the biggest benifit is that well she loves edward, but she also loves Jake you know?

i agree with jacob_luver, jacob IS the better choice but its almost like edward is the obvious choice, all my friends r on edwards side but why? "because, hes SO romantic" they totally miss jakes strong points, and when edward left bella bleeding, jacob is the one who healed her! dnt get me rong, i love edward, hes great, but jake truly is the better choice

I totally think edward is the best, he only hurt bella to save her, and jake would be good, but he cares to much about his love and how things work out for him. where if bella chose jake, edward wouldn't put up such a baby like fuss. Please don't think i hate jake, cuz I LOVE HIM, but i think ed is the better choice!!

meyerama-no offense-but there are also still a couple facts that i forgot to put in my story- one-since jacob is a werewolf then he cant age untill he controlls his anger-which means that bella will be rinkled up and he will look like her son!-two what is this deal with the whole "protect bella" thing that edward is trying to do? i mean its sweet and all and that is on eof my faves with edward but whatever happens bella will always be in some sort of danger, that is how sm portrays bella in the books

jake would be the bad choice for her just becuz he could imprint on someone and would have to leave bella . it wouldnt be fair to either one of them if that happened. jakob would feel so guilty and it would hurt bella again. anyway edward is the obviouse choice. not only cuz of jakes imprinting thing but becuz he loves bella so much. he would do anything for her. he only leaves cuz he wants her to be safe. jake would never do that for bella he would not stay with her but would rather be in the fight no matter how scared bella was or needed him. he wants the danger. he doesnt even make sure shes wearing a helmet or anything riding the bike. specially when she was 1st learning. he is too much of a kid and bella needs to be protected since she is so clumsy and a magnet for danger...
