I was 15 when i first saw Loveless and that was a shonen ai and even now i don't watch hardcore yaoi's(*shivers* they creep me out especially shotacon)

anways what do you think? i think below 15 is a bit young(well shonen ai is okay...but real yaoi no...way it's just as bad as little kids watching shows where people blow each other heads off)

In my opinion Kids shouldn't be watching/reading yaoi especially hardcore yaoi because you aren't old enough to under stand the concepts and at that age you shouldn't even be understanding the concepts! There are kids shows for a reason. i find it awful that there are kids below 9 watching/reading it!

Umm I don't really think there's a age for watching yaoi its really up to you. Cuz most 15 years old and older well some, can't take yaoi and younger kids can there's not age. But at least I would say a age when we should read/watch yaoi is maybe 15 or older..>.< but I really think is up to you.

It really depends on a child's level of maturity. If they're mature enough not to roll on the floor saying "EWW" after watching hardcore yaoi, then I have no problem with it, honestly.

I started with shounen-ai while I was 12 now I'm 14 and started watching it like 3 months ago. Both ages are below 1 and that's the reason for my answer. I don't quite fancy people who are 11 or 12 watching hardcore stuff but it's not like you can control what you like. If they are more mature then other kids and/or understand the seriousness of sex I don't min but still...Now that I think about it maybe I shouldn't be talking seeing that I'm just 14 but...

ah extremley late reply XD you probably won't read this(as i am replying now 8 months later) I don't like the idea of young kids watching yaoi(and basically anything sexual content) But your idea on showing it to babies you do make a point. I guess if you are young and your parents give you permission thats fine or you watch it with them but i guess what i am iffy about is young kids(anything from 12 and below) watching it behind their parents back.. yes i understand why but it doesn't really make a good relationship between the kid and their parents.

heh maybe i would have been better off if people explained to me this kind of stuff when i was younger i would have been much better off now XD okay this is going to come off as really sad but i wasn't aware of gay people untill i was 12 i ad no idea people like that existed, but if it was explained to me when i was younger i would have known =P

Depends on what Yaoi they are watching, Junjou Romantica and Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi are fine. But only the anime. Stuff that REALLY goes hardcore, 18+, unless you are mature enough to understand it.
