Kurt had always liked Kitty for who she is, he never give her a chance to show he really he's not such a bad guy once you get to know him more. Not just as a friend either but more then that and never got that chane but I did see in season 3 that is was kind of more then a friendship there. Besides, Kitty want's him to change, and the thing is, he shouldn't have to. No one should have to change who they are to be with someone.
