I need help for a short story.

What if you take about 6/7 fairy take characters and make them all meet? But take diffrent writing styles every couple lines to make it look like a bunch of people wrote it. Or, you rewrite a fairy tale.

If ydont want to do diffrent writing styles, when you turn it in/present it whatever, pull your teacher aside and tell her/him
"Hey, I did this mostly by myself, my group wouldn't help me at all"

(I personally hate writing projects in groups)

Well, the first thing that came to mind was that what if you had one fairy tale character kill another one. That would build up some suspense as to who killed who.
To make it look like it was made by the whole team, you can write it in different points of view. As in family and friends, etc.
Or, like katz4eva said, rewriting a fairy tale may be the easiest and quickest. And you should talk to your teacher about your group.

You can write for example that 8 people triveled to America for vication with a ship true the Pacific ocean, but the ship sailes to the pramuda triangle and sinks. Only 8 people survive and then descover (when they woke up) that they are on a mystirious island where MAGIC rules. They find themselfs hunting beests to survive when they find that there is something strange. They see that there live faries, elves, gargoils, dragons, dangerous monsters, wizards (old ones)and other magic farytale creatures. They have to fight and meanvhile get to know eachother, but they don't trust everytone. They have to survive by fighting against some evil people and evil monsters and evil faries and some of them die there too and they have to make shelter and decide how they will live and start making a plan how they could get out of there. One day they realise that they are in the middle of the war betwen eves and wizards against evil monsters who want to kill everyone and eat them... They have a choice to fight on the side of the good elves and wizards or betry them and surve the evil and big monstrs from the underworld. Some of them coos the monsters and some the elves. They fight against eachother (bloody bettles)when a terible misfortun happens... Now you have a choice plan A or plan B: Plan A: A fairy girl fells in love with an evil boy who surves the monsters and then they have power to stopp the war and so on... Or plan B: Whatever you like and be shor to describe the bloody fight :-P. Ana all 8 carecters must be important and have important part in the storry and an interesting personility :-) Oh and you can eavin say how someone from those 8 descovers that he or she has magic and learns how to use it by a wizard.
