i guess he was born in the early 1500s.

No one is actually sure on the actual date of William Shakespeare's birthday, though he was baptized on April 26, 1564. It is traditional to baptize a baby 3 days after their birth, so it is believed to be April 23, 1564. He died on April 23, 1616. (Yes, on his birthday.)
