Through this article, I shall cover some of the oddest and strangest things I have ever encountered or pondered about while playing a game.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune- Randomly travelling!
------------------------------------------------
While playing Uncharted is truly a blast, and the atmosphere is stellar, you often wonder, "WTF is Drake trying to do? Does he have any idea where he REALLY is going?" It seems that he'll climb everywhere without a plan (on top of buldings, through castles, and on top of Elena when they're all alone, if you get my drift) and just decides to romp on through places that would, realistically, never lead him anywhere. I guess, however, that's the most fun part of being a treasure hunter.
Far Cry 2- Vehicle-intolerant animals
------------------------------------------------
Far Cry 2 is supposedly the most realistic FPS ever made. Apparently, in real life, animals just die as soon as they lay a finger on a vehicle. link
Battlefield: Bad Company- Funny Boxes
------------------------------------------------
One of the funnier parts about the physics in Bad Company is how easily the boxes and random trash bags break. If you move a few against a wall, they all just smash to splinters like they're literally between a rock and a hard place. Go ahead and if you don't have the game, play the demo, and see for yourself.
Half-Life 2- Billy Mays Loses his Face
------------------------------------------------
The first game I started playing when I got the Orange Box was, naturally, Half-Life 2. I basically yawned my way through the beginning and hyped up the appearance of the deadly but loveable headcrabs. And, lo and behold, just when I got tired of waiting, voila! They started pouring out like semen when you finish jerking off. The first victim I saw was- hold the phone- BILLY MAYS?! Play the game and see for yourself- it really is him.
More to come!
