Does anyone have any good vampire books that they read?

I highly recommend the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan! It's packed with action, adventure, humor, and vampires (that don't sparkle)! It has twelve books that have all gotten great reviews by J.K. Rowling (author of Harry Potter).

The first three books (they are divided up into four trilogies) are about Darren Shan (the name of the author is used for the character; it's not a Mary-Sue, but you'll find out why it's the same name when you read the series) getting blackmailed into becoming a vampire when he visits the Cirque Du Freak. He then travels with the cirque and learns the basic vampire ways, tought by Mr. Crepsley, the vampire who blooded him. The next three are about Darren and Mr. Crepsley traveling to Vampire Mountain, which is where all of the vampires meet every set number of years. It's also where the Vampire Council (generals and princes) live. The next three are about the war that is happening between the vampires and vampaneze (a different race of vampire) called the War of Scars. The final three books are about tieing everything together. It's also where we find out the outcome of the War of Scars.

It's really different than anything "vampire" out there right now. And by the way: if you've seen "The Vampire's Assistant" (the movie based on the book), you should still read the books; they're SSSSOOOOOOO much better!

City of bones by Cassandra Clare, not really all about vampires but has a mix of every thing. amazing books.

the house of night series is ledgendary lol, and the vampire diares is amazing

I highly reccomend "Companions of the Night" by Vivian Vande Velde!!! if you really like horror/suspense/adventure/romance and of course vampires then this is a MUST read!!! I can never put the book down everytime I read it!!!

true blood is actually the sookie stackhouse series by charlaine harris! amazing,brillant books! they have humor,love, lust,action and lots of sex.;)they also have shapeshifters, werewolves, demons as well as vampires.This series is the best i have read of vampires.:) twilight is for teens, vampire diaries for like 17-18 but true blood is on hbo bc it would probably be rated R,lol and the books are even better than the show! please check them out, im addicted!! and of you do read them, im an eric adn sookie fan just to let you know!:)

the best vampire book i have read is a series written by NALINI SINGH called ANGELS BLOOD, ANGELS PAWN, ARCHANGELS CONSORT
the series also includes angels and vampire hunters. the four book will be releasing in october
