Third one :) Yay!
Jacobs huge wolf body falls on the kitchen table, splitting it in half.
“Nessie.” Andreois looks my way and in a flash is out of the kitchen, leaving me and Jacob all alone.
Jacobs eyes are squinted together with anger. He’s breathing hard, making me become even more worried than I already am.
“Please, Jacob, change back.” I easily walk toward him. He wont hurt me, I think, please don’t let him hurt me.
“He didn’t mean any harm, you must understand that. Nothing happened.” I gently touch his fur, waiting for him to run the other way. “Please, ”I beg again.
Jacob looks at me with his big black eyes. I can see sorrow in them, anger, jealousy, and behind it all, passion. His wet nose touches my palm as I shut my eyes.
I sigh and release Jacob. As I open my eyes I see him starring down at the broken table. He quickly glances my way then at the door.
Please, I think, don’t leave. don’t. please.
But, he gets up, not even bothering to look back at me. He runs through the door that Andreois left open, taking with him my heart.
I touch the broken pieces of wood wondering what Mom will think of all this.
She had warned me a long time ago. Admitting to me that Jacob could one day loose his temper over something not important. This was the day, I knew deep in my heart. This was the day Jacob had lost control. Mom and Dad would never forgive me. The damage was already done.
The memory erases in my mind as I look back at the trees. I don’t want it to go, but I know it must.
“Bella, look at her.” I can hear my father saying behind me. “She’s so sad, Im worried about her.” I hear a sigh.
“What can we do? He hurt her. She’s forgiven him, but I doubt he’ll ever forgive what he’s done to her.”
I quickly turn around to face them.
They’re both standing close to the tent opening looking straight at me. Both of they’re faces carry the same worried expression. Mom has her arms crossed, Dad has his around Mom.
“He should.” I hear my cold voice saying. “It wasn’t his fault. It was only in his nature to do what his emotions felt like. I should have told him about Andreois.” Mom opens her arms and I run into them.
“Sweetie, its going to be okay, trust me.” I breathe in her vacant smell. I close my eyes as I feel a tear run down my cheek.
“Does it ever go away?” I say as I feel Dads hand wind around my waist.
“The pain?” He asks me.
“The feeling?” Mom continues.
“The loss.” I finish.
