Ok I have to say: JACOB ROCKS! Not only does he LIKE Bella (Ok, well that is a really simple way to put it) but he genuinely cares about her well being. He doesn't want her to be with Edward, but not for the reasons you might think. He's worried that it's not good for her to hang w/ the vampires. He considers himself "healthier" for her to be with.
#1: PERSISTENT
Another plus for Jacob is: He never stops trying. He just keeps plugging along, trying to make Bella love him. My guess? He'll never stop. Even when she vampinizes. Because that's just how much he cares.
#2: LOYAL
Plus No. 2: He'd rather be friends than nothing. Whereas Edward (No offense Edward girls), if she for some reason decided to be with Jacob, would run off and mope. Jacob has stayed by her side for THREE WHOLE BOOKS and that's not about to change. Bella chose his mortal enemy over him, and yet Jake is still there for her.
#3: BREAKS THE RULES
Jacob has very nearly gone against pack rules to keep Bella as his friend. He literally tormented himself, trying to figure out how to let her know what he was. Then he tormented himself some more after he thought he might lose her over it. Edward, on the other hand... Bella basically had to have several near-death experiences before she guessed what he was. And Edward was not bound in any way to any kind of pack code. Although, to be fair, he didn't quite know if he could trust her with the secret of the entire vampire race. So IDK maybe it was good he kept that secret. The point is, Jacob knows that Bella is more important than anything else in the world, and, as soon as he could, scuttled off and practically gave Bella the answer. Conclusion? He'd rather suffer some awful pack punishment than give up her friendship.
#4: DOESN'T KEEP SECRETS
You remember how in New Moon, while Jacob, Edward and Bella were having that LOVELY chat about Victoria? Yes, well, Jacob made it very clear that he would have told Bella the truth the instant it made itself known. Edward, although he was only trying to keep Bella from worrying, did not extend the same courtesy. Long story short, Edward hid the truth. Jacob would not have done so. Conclusion? Jake's a better friend.
So IDK, I personally think the books would SUCK if she had chosen Jake, but I wish they would have gotten more romantically involved in New Moon. Then I would have ADORED Eclipse and be freaking out even more than I already am about the coming of Breaking Dawn. All I can say is: GO JACOB! DON'T STOP TRYING!

I drove home astomished after I had left Leahs. I couldnt get the image of Emily out of my head. I wanted to go back to Leahs so badly, but not to see her, but to see Emily. It sounded really harsh but that was the truth. It felt as if there was a pull between me and her. A pull I couldnt resist. If Leah new what i was feeling she wouldve cut out my throut in a second. Emily...Emily...Emily. Thats all i thout about on the drive. Her perfect face. The way her hair was nested behind her ear. Thoes gloreous ears. That wonderful smile. SCRREEEEEK. What? What was that? I looked around and noticed i had passed a stop sign.oops.
She was beautiful. When i looked at her it seemed as if everything i lived for dissapeared. She was the only reason for my being. I quikly snapped out of it. What was I thinking? I was with Leah, and nobady else mattered. I looked at Emily and saw the expression on her face. She looked like..like..she was in love. Leah seemed to see this and she quickly turned me towards her, so Emily couldnt see my face anymore.
"Emily, can i talk to you inside please?" Leah asked her. Emily finally seemed to realize what she was doing and looked at Leah.
