No - it only ruins it for the people who didn't activly seek to stay away from spoilers. With HP7 I literally stayed off all websites that could possibly have any information about it. I only did a lil online shopping and checked my email. If you are sitting here on fanpop reading posts like this - then YOU are ruinig it for YOURSELF.

Guys, don't trust a link that you have to download. That's how Spyware and Viruses get onto your computer.

Trust me, I work for an IT company. I've already tested quite a few links that claim to be chapters/pictures of Breaking Dawn and they all have spyware.
