Bellas POV
It's the centuary with corsets, dresses and the old -fashion way to marry. I just wish my mother Renne and my father Charlse (short, and easy to call him Charlie), would stop forcing me to marry. I just turned 18 and now, they want me to have responsibility of being married. The worse thing is, everyday a kind and suitable bachalor arrives in our mansion. They are all sweet to care, but I don't really love them. The person I marry, I have to fall for in a 'love at first sight' thing.
It's now 10 o clock and my mother, is helping me with my lacy corset. "Hold still Isabella." She is struggling to pull the lace together. "Dear mother, must I repeat? Please call me Bella!" It's all I could say at a time like this; with breath. (groans,) "All done, now go downstairs and wait for a mister Edward Mason." How many more, must I go through? I will probably have to move to a bigger town, if I don't choose a husband soon, but it is not my fault. So I picked up the end of my dress, and went down the steps. I wasn't sure who this Mason sir was, but as always, I have to try. But I looked around, and saw nobody. "Mother, there must be a mistake, I don't see anyone." And I walked backwards, till I thought, I hit a wall. But it was an actual person. I looked around and saw him. "Erm excuse me miss, but do you know where I might see Isabella?" Wow, he is so polite. "Hello, yes this is her." I gave a weak smile. Even though I just met him, he must think I am weird. "Hi, my name is Edward." And he greeted me with a kiss upon my hand. "Please to meet you." And he gave me a crooked smile. "The pleasure, is mine dear sir." I teased. And he gave a silent laugh.
There was a bit of arkward silence until I asked, "would you like anything to eat or drink?"
"No thankyou." He smiled. Again with the silence, but then he spoke, "I was wondering, if you would like to take a walk." "Sure, I'd be delighted, I am just going to tell my mother, so she won't panic." And with that I went upstairs to tell her the whole story. "Go Isabella, this one looks like he is going to last." She whispered. "Mother, it's Bella." I hurried down the stairs, not giving second thoughts. "Ready to go?" He asked. "Yes I am." And he took my hand ready to start the walk.
2 hours later
It is now 12 o clock and we travelled to the park. It took a while on foot. "So, how are you? I mean with this whole 'trying to marry someone thing?" He asked as we entered the beautiful park fall of fountains and greeney. "Well, I never really fall in love with any of them. And I am expected to pick one." I answered. " I know how you feel, but the difference is I travel to the ladies house, but by the time I do visit, they already picked someone." He said. It felt sad for him to say. Because I could reject the men, without knowing how they feel and not bothering to ask. "So I really was hoping; that you are different." Wow. It was so sweet of him to say. "Wow, erm thankyou." I replied. "If you don't mind me asking, there is this masqurade ball tonight; and if you are going, I was wondering, if you would like me to escort you." He was brave to ask and mention this. I felt different with him. It might be fun. "Sure, it will be fun, and I have to go anyway so, yeah." And when I said that a grin was on his face.
That night...
"Hold still Isabella." She is struggling to pull the lace together. "Dear mother, must I repeat? Please call me Bella!" How many times must I got through this routine? But I am ready, in my midnight blue party dress. I put on my mask and waited for my horse and carraige. The deal was, is that he will open the door, take my hand and walk me in. This feels like Cinderella. But as I arrived, he wasn't there. I do hope he comes, because without an escort, I will be the laughing stock of the village. I tried waiting paitiently, but it was no use because he didn't arrive. So I risked going in by myself; at least no one laughed at me, but I wished he kept to his promise. It felt pathetic to cry, so I was trying to be strong. As I took a bite of food from the table; I felt someones precence near me. I turned around, to see an ordinary man, but something was different about him... I couldn't tell... It was in his eyes. I would feel stupid to ask who he was so, I just left the table and ran towards the garden. I feel so stupid. The person I met, was he the right one? As I took a few more steps, I was close to the fountain, so I sat down near the edge. What a great night; this turned out to be. But as I sat down, thinking to myself, the man from the food table came to sat beside me. "You know you left me so quick, I didn't get a chance to explain my self." His voice was very familiar. The mysterios guy, took my hand and kissed it. It had to be him, but he didn't mention anything. The suspence is killing me. Then he took of my mask and smiled, so I took his off too. "It's so I can see your beautiful face." Edward said. "Ever since I met you I was wiling to give you this, but I was trying to find you and I didn't recognise." And with that, he leaned closer till our faces were together. There was no need for words, and all the hidden secrect were told.
