Have you ever felt like your entire body was on fire, and there was nothing you can do about it? You're in excruciating pain and all you can do is lie there and let it happen. That's how it feels to be turned into a vampire.
I didn't ask for this. I honestly would have rather died, but I suppose that wasn't an option ever since Emmett and Rosalie found me. Rosalie must have taken pity in me, being raped, beaten, stabbed and left to die in the middle of nowhere. Right before my spirit almost left my body, I could feel bite marks all over my body. My neck, my legs, my stomach and wrists ached with the feeling that two big needles stabbing into my skin.
"Rosalie, what were you thinking?" Emmett asked, furiously.
"I couldn't leave her there. I know I resented Carlisle for turning me, but now that I'm in the same position as he was, I couldn't let her die."

When I found that I could control my body again, I immediately grabbed my throat. All I could feel was burning, like someone had thrown lit matches down my esophagus. I was so thirsty. I tried to ignore my thirst for long enough that I was able to look at myself in the full-length mirror in the room. I was beautiful. My black hair had a certain shine, like it did when I'd get it cut and washed by my hairdresser, only this looked natural. My skin was pale, the color of snow. I was so glamorous, it hurt a little to even look at myself. All those changes wasn't what shocked me the most, that was the color of my eyes. They were the color of blood, a crimson red that made me gasp.
"You're awake!"
I turned to see a beautiful blonde girl looking at me. Wrapped around her waist was the bulky arm of a handsome, tall, dark-haired man, with a devilish smirk on his face.
"Rosalie," I found myself saying. I really hoped that the girl I was looking at was the girl who saved me.
She smiled. "Yes. That's me, and this is Emmett. What's your name?"
They towered over me. I was short compared to the rest of the girls in my school, but they were even taller than anyone I knew. They were like models. "I'm Charlotte."
They smiled, "Nice to meet you. I know you're probably confused right now... and you're thirsty."
"Yeah, I am. Can you get me a glass of water?
Rosalie and Emmett looked at each other and laughed. I was confused, until Emmett looked at me, "Water won't do you any good. How's blood sound?"
My throat burned even more. I licked my lips, but at the same time I was lost. Blood? Why would I want blood?
"Emmett, Rose, you're scaring her. She probably has no idea what's going on."
I turned to see a handsome, twenty-something blonde man and a pretty twenty-something brunette walking towards me. I assumed they were married. "I'm Carlisle," the man said, "and this is Esme," he motioned to the woman next to him, "You're a vampire now."
I burst out laughing. "Vampires aren't real."
Carlisle sighed. "Rose, take her hunting."

Hunting made me feel like I was alive. I could run at the speed of light and not get tired, I had the strength of a hundred men. This was amazing.
"Hey, Char, see that deer over there? Kill it, and suck out it's blood. That should keep you controlled for a while."
I immediately ran after it, but it saw me. "Damnit!" I screamed.
Come over here
Suddenly, the deer walked towards me. There was blatant fear in its eyes, but it still came to me. It stood in front of me for a few seconds before I snapped out of my shock and pounced at it, sinking my teeth into it's skin and sucking out all of its blood.
"How the hell did you do that?" Rosalie yelled.
"I... I don't know."
"Do it again," she commanded. So I did.
She looked shocked, looking at the second deer to stand in front of me.
"Your eyes are black."
I then stopped thinking about the deer next to me, and it ran away.
Rosalie looked angry, but mesmerized. "You just hypnotized those deer. Your eyes turned black and when they went back to normal they went back to red."
"Is that bad?"
Rosalie frowned. "We need to tell Carlisle."
We then began to run back to the house, when a smell of stench and blood ran through my nostrils. Suddenly, I found myself running towards the smell. I could hear Rosalie screaming after me, but I was ignoring her.
Then I saw a yellowish colored wolf staring back at me. It began walking towards me, I guess due to my control over it.
The wolf, much larger than I was, stood before me. Right before I bit it, I was pushed to the ground by what felt like a boulder.
"Seth! Get back to the house with Jacob!" A girl screamed. She was pretty, with dark hair and gold eyes. She was holding hands with a auburn-haired man, who was the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life. The girl glared at me, and then barked at Rosalie.
"Rose! You know it's dangerous bringing a new vampire into the family. Renesmee could be in danger, especially if she almost killed Seth! What were you thinking?"
Esme frowned, "Bella, enough. Keep Nessie in your house for a little while. Rose will take her hunting every day to quench her thirst."
The auburn-haired man gave me a death look. "I'm not keeping my family around this newborn. Bella, Renesmee and I will have to stay with the Denali's until this girl can control herself."
Rosalie went ballistic. "Edward, not all of us can have perfect control like your little wifey. I've adopted Charlotte, and she's part of our family. She's not going anywhere. Leave if you want, but she's not."
While all this carried on, my guilt overthrew my thirst. I managed to slip away while they were fighting, following the wolf into the house.
When I walked into the house, the wolf had turned into an attractive, tan and black haired boy who looked about my age. I walked up and sat down next to him on the couch. When he saw me, his expression went from pain-ridden, to mesmerized.
"Hi, I'm sorry about that back there. I'm not used to this new appetite... I'm Charlotte."
He looked at me with the same expression, not saying a word. I frowned, not understanding what was happening. That's when another tan boy walked in.
"Oh shit, Seth, no."
I didn't ask for this. I honestly would have rather died, but I suppose that wasn't an option ever since Emmett and Rosalie found me. Slow, we paddle through the lake
Straight to the very center of the darkest water
Where we can embrace the shadows on the surface
The eyes that look up lifeless from our twins below
And though your arms and legs are under
Love will be the echo in your ears when all is lost and plundered
My love will be there still
True, it's chilling to behold
Up close we stumble backwards laughing in our boat
Till the image sinks away to someplace far but certain
A land of mere suspension where someday we must go
And though your arms and legs are under
Love will be the echo in your ears when all is lost and plundered
My love will be there still
Though your arms and legs are under
Love will be the echo in your ears when all is lost and plundered
My love will be there still

I done me wrong
I done all wrong
All the wrong I done
I’m sure to live quite long
I done all wrong
I done me wrong
All the wrong I done
I’m sure to live quite, quite long
All the wrong I done
Will be undone in song
All the wrong I done
Will be undone in song
If you’re doing wrong
If you done all wrong
You can rest assure
You’re gonna live quite long
If you done all wrong
You’re doing wrong
You can rest assure
You’re gonna live quite, quite long
All the wrong you done
Will be undone in song
All the wrong you done
Will be undone in song
We’re doing wrong
We all done wrong
If we did no wrong
I’m sure we would be gone
I done all wrong
All the wrong I done
I’m sure to live quite long
I done all wrong
I done me wrong

A tear in my brain
Allows the voices in
They wanna push you off the path
With their frequency wires
And you can do no wrong
In my eyes
In my eyes
You can do no wrong
In my eyes
In my eyes
A drunken salesman
Your hearing damage
Your mind is restless
They say you’re getting better
But you don’t feel any better
(In my eyes
In my eyes)
Your speakers are blowing
Your ears are wrecking
Your hearing damage
You wish you felt better
You wish you felt better
(In my eyes
A better place)
You can do no wrong
In my eyes
In my eyes
You can do no wrong
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes

In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
In my eyes
I was a quick wet boy
Diving too deep for coins
All of your street light eyes
Wide on my plastic toys
Then when the cops closed the fair
I cut my long baby hair
Stole me a dog-eared map
And called for you everywhere
Have I found you
Flightless bird, jealous, weeping
Or lost you
American mouth
Big pill looming
Now I’m a fat house cat
Nursing my sore blunt tongue
Watching the warm poison rats
Curl through the wide fence cracks
Pissing on magazine photos
Those fishing lures thrown in the cold and clean
Blood of Christ mountain streams
Have I found you
Flightless bird, grounding, bleeding
Or lost you
American mouth
Big pill stuck going down
Diving too deep for coins
All of your street light eyes
Wide on my plastic toys
Then when the cops closed the fair
I cut my long baby hair
Stole me a dog-eared map
And called for you everywhere
Have I found you
Flightless bird, jealous, weeping
Or lost you
American mouth
Big pill looming
Now I’m a fat house cat
Nursing my sore blunt tongue
Watching the warm poison rats
Curl through the wide fence cracks
Pissing on magazine photos
Those fishing lures thrown in the cold and clean
Blood of Christ mountain streams
Have I found you
Flightless bird, grounding, bleeding
Or lost you
American mouth
Big pill stuck going down
The hour has begun
Your eyes have now opened
To a world where madness craves
To a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
Your window’s opened wide
Your innocence takes flight
To a world where madness craves
To a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
It’s a world where madness craves
It’s a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
It’s a world where madness craves
It’s a world where hope’s enslaved
Yeah I tremble for you love always
Your eyes have now opened
To a world where madness craves
To a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
Your window’s opened wide
Your innocence takes flight
To a world where madness craves
To a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
It’s a world where madness craves
It’s a world where hope’s enslaved
Oh I tremble for my love always
It’s a world where madness craves
It’s a world where hope’s enslaved
Yeah I tremble for you love always
