Summit Entertainment announced yesterday that Oscar winner Bill Condon will direct the next ‘Twilight’ movie, and possibly the next two movies, since the fourth book in the franchise has been divided into two movies. Another big change in ‘Breaking Dawn’ is that the franchise’s writer, Stephanie Meyer, will also step into the producer’s chair.

Bill Condon won an Oscar for writing ‘Gods and Monsters’ in 1998. He was nominated again for writing ‘Chicago’ in 2003. He was also nominated for a few awards for his work on ‘Dream Girls.’

“I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book - and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience,” said Condon in the release statement.
