But I agree with energizer bunny, without taking in to consideration all the crap she went through off the island, Kate was in a plane crash and then got stuck on a weird island. That's a pretty big issue.

With all the crap that happened before, after and during her time on the island Kate definitely has a lot of issues. So do Meredith, Kelly, Buffy and Peyton. A really HARD pick! ;) LOL

While others have dealt with a lot in their life... I think Buffy has them all beat.

At 15 years old she had to face her destiny which consisted of risking her life in order to kill vampires and demons since she was the one person chosen in all the world to do so (and knowing most slayers did not live past the age of 18), her parents got divorced and she blamed herself for it and then her father continually disappointed her and eventually cut off contact from her, her mother died, she got expelled from 2 schools because she was trying to save the world but couldn't explain that to the police and the school, she found out her sister wasn't really her sister, she had to kill the love of her life in order to save the world, she tried killing her friends because she wanted so badly to believe that her life as a slayer was just not real and she was crazy, her best friend tried killing her, she's had a psycho with super strength (faith) want nothing more than to destory Buffy's life, she sacrificed her own life in order to save the world, she was in heaven and then was pulled out of there by her friends... need I continue???

If you watched every episode of origin 90210 you know that it's only Kelly Taylor in this list should be picked. And she's not mine fav but least of them. Just impartial assessment. It's just life. Nothing fantastical as Buffy or Lost or VampZ etc.

Also Peyton and Kate. But you can't compare.
Buffy had to save the world a lot of times alone(well the scoobygang helped her, but mostly she was alone fighting vampires and all) and lost a lot of people she cared because of it(Angel, her mom, her dad, Riley, Spike...) and She died twice. So I'm totally agree with you jemgrl323

Def. Peyton. Her mom died when she was little...she finds out she's adopted...birth mom dies of cancer...gets shot in a school shooting...finds out she has a brother...brother ends up being a psycho stalker who trys to kill her...problems with her pregnancy, slips into coma. And has to deal with all of her other friends getting attacked, heart ache, heart attacks, car crashes, and everything else. I probably left something out, but that's all that I can think of at the moment.

Her mom died when she was young. She found out she was adopted. Then she met her real mom, then she died of cancer. She got shot in a school shooting. Got a crazy stalker that tried to rape her. Plus almost losing her baby, her life and her bestfriend.

She was raped...twice, her mother was an alcoholic and died of cancer, her father was never there for her, she had addiction to diet pills and she was anorexia, was burned, joined a sect, had a drugaddiction, had a crazy stalker, she got shot and had amnesia, she lost her unborn baby...

And you guys think P.Sawyer is messed up? *LOL* I totally agree with Ksenya: IF YOU WATCHED EVERY EPISODE OF ORIGIN 90210 YOU KNOW THAT IT´S ONLY KELLY TAYLOR IN THIS LIST SHOULD BE PICKED.

Mother died.
Father raised her and her siblings to be ruthless killers.
Sister died.
She killed her own brother to save a stranger because she was ordered to.
Betrayed by her boyfriend who was being ordered to by her father.
Left for dead and tortured/raped by Somalian terrorists for four months.
Her next boyfriend kills an innocent woman and he proposes to keep her sweet.

Elena and Meredith. Why?

Elena:
First her adoptive parents died, and she felt it was her fault. Then both of her real parents died, too, and then her brother almost ends up hating her for trying to protect him. More of her friends die/almost die, including herself and her aunt, who was her guardian, she loses the boyfriend she loves so much when he's trying to save his brother, and then she has to try to get him back, and as if that's not enough, she starts to have feelings for his brother, equalling in trying to decide between the two men she loves. And then, to top it all, she dies, but instead of dying a peaceful death she wanted, she turned into a vampire and now she has absolutely no idea who she is.

Meredith:
First, her mother had Alzheimer's. That's enough to deal with on its own. But then she gets a job and makes lots of mistakes in the job, only making everything harder. And just when she's getting close to Derek, she finds out that he's married, and suddenly she's the "dirty mistress". Then she watches a guy get blown up in her face. And then she drowns because she's not sure if she wants to live, but gladly she figures it out in time. And then Derek gets his own problems and highly takes them out on Meredith. Then one of Meredith's closest friends gets hit by a bus and dies, and another one gets cancer. Just when things are good with her and Derek, the shooting happens and she gets a miscarriage. And to top it all, Derek gets shot in front of her and would have died if it had not been for her best friend, Cristina. But in the OR Meredith was willing to sacrifice her own life to save Derek and everyone else in the room, and thanks to all that she gets Cristina to blame her for everything afterwards. After things settle down, she makes a mistake and messes with the Alzheimer trial (to help a friend) she and Derek are doing, and that results in him almost leaving her. Oh, and of course there's her childhood that I didn't mention before ; the criticizing, heartless mother and the father who abandoned them. But at the end of season 8, Lexie, Meredith's sister, dies in the plane crash Meredith and her husband and Cristina were in, too. And then another one of her friends died, too, due to the accident (who also happened to be Derek's best friend). And now there's Derek's hand problem to worry about, and who knows if something happens with Meredith's newly-discovered pregnancy.

Sorry for the novels, but I just think that these two are definitely the tv-females who have been through the most.
I saw that Peyton was voted for the most. She's awesome and has been through a lot, but imo, definitely not the most.
