Slag was his original name and it'd make sense to stick with it, but to an extent, I can understand changing it if it offends people (specifically english prostitutes). Not only that, but I'm one of those people who doesn't throw a fit over a name change.

Snarl would be a fine name... if it weren't for the fact that there's already a character with the name Snarl (granted, G1 Snarl isn't in the same continuity as Animated Snarl, but still...).

Slug is my choice, since some of its meanings (a round of ammunition, a swift strike, as well as a hot piece of metal left over from making a hole in something) do kinda fit the character of... well, Slug.
