The movies actually are the ones that contain amazing graphic visual content which can only be featured in theatrical releases. Still, the cartoons are beloved, G1 may look old but the plot of the 1st 2 seasons are to be respected.

YAAAAAASSSS Transformers was created because of the cartoon. But you should read the comics people, they are the best graphic novels of entertainment you would ever have to read!! I just recommend.
