Hated him, he treated her like crap. The scene that really got to me was the breakfast scene where he told her that she was basically his property and could do whatever he wanted with her.

Whoever thought that Rose would be better off with Cal doesn't understand how controlling and forceful he was on her! As she said she's not a foreman in one of his mills the he can command let the girl live her own life without being told what to do where and when mother didn't help at all she made things worse didn't she!

This is probably surprising coming from a die-hard Cal fan, but I just don't think Rose was right for him...they seemed to bring out the worst in each other.

I prefer rose with Cal because Cal was an elegant gentleman and tries his best to gain her love and jack was an stupid worthless no good nobody who wins roses heart with his seductive nature and good looks.
